RM2K/3 Pokemon Battle System

Yep good idea! Emotions... How will we make it so that the player can affect the emotions of the pokemon? Just give me a few examples.. We are making our game quite realistic.. :)

err...if you keep using one Pokemon to battle then the others in the party will get jealous.

Keep using bitter items makes the pokemon dislike taking
items from you.

Idea!

I have an idea how about their is a desert that is boiling and you have to carry water to drink or you will faint

That gives me another idea. How about intorducing temperature to the system?

Hey, I've uploaded the emotions thing.
It's just something I added to hunger and tiredness.
The one for the battle system isn't ready yet.
I'm going to delete it after the upload as I haven't
got enough space on my comp to sustain
much stuff.

Daegon, I didn't think we were showing the site to the public yet? I thought we were using that to put all the work together on the game, but it's your call
PKMN_Sage, we don't have a name as of yet, but I do have an idea of what it should be. I think Krazy had the same idea at the start of the thread, it's Pokemon *new region* journey/adventure/story/without any of these. Because that way it is guaranteed to be an original name...
rm2k3kid, yeah you can help with the maps. The more good map makers we have the better!

Sorry for not being on for a while guys... I have had a lot of stuff to do..
I will upload what I have done tomorrow (just like a demo sort of.. for people who require the battle for their demo's)
Anyway I had better go to bed soon, I have to start work at 9 :( Don't like getting up in the mornings... I like your suggestions about jelousy(sp?) and other stuff.. but I will have to change the batlle system for that to work when you deposit/withdraw your pokemon. It will be done in due time.. Maybe I should have left more space in between variables.. Oh well.. I might include some kind of mood thing as well.. Like PMS pokemon lol... Sorry I shouldn't have said that

Hey, when the emotion system is finsished and the battle system's
finished I'll implement it myself as I feel like I've been giving you so
much work. In my opinion, you deserve a break.

Are you sure Daegon? I was going to change the PC thing anyway so that it auto-loads/saves variables for pokemon and I just had to change the list..
I would like a bit of a rest... I think I have lost my enthusiasm for the battle system.. I just need to get away from it for a little bit, then I will be ready to tackle it again. :)
A lot of problems are arising because we didn't talk about which types of variables we would need and how many of them. Maybe we should.. not do that again

I have a question about the "Demo" that was to be released soon. Will this demo just have the basic battle system like from the games, or will it feature all those extras like the "mood" and "Hunger" systems.

I just want the most basic one... If possible...

But in any event, keep up the good work!

it will just be a basic demo. You will have to add in all the Pokemon and attacks etc. manually.
rm2k3kid, if you could make a map for the new region then we can build up from there. It's got to have at least one island town though because I've already done that.

A demo...tomorrow, that lights up my day seeing as i go back to school tomorrow. I can't wait! :)

Ok, Krazy finish up the PC and battle system then I'll
do the custom stuff. I'm sure it won't take that long. Anyway,
if you guys need a break in between this project take one.
It's summer vacation and the time given is meant to be
for relaxation. maybe I should enforce that in my sig.

*note: the emotions thing will not be in the battle system.
The hunger/tiredness thing I don't know.
