IMPORTANT: Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom!

It's been just under a week since the newest addition to the Zelda franchise, Tears of the Kingdom, launched. Did you pick up a copy? How far have you gotten?

I've been doing a lot of exploring of Hyrule, got pretty far east, but now I'm heading up north west to ~follow the story~ for a bit.

Got a digital copy and have been having fun with the game. I am doing the first region the game is intending on you to do. I'm unlikely to 100% this game or do anything too wild with it.

I really love this game, it's the best choice if you don't want to think too much.

Picked it up day after release - for some reason I thought there'd be no copies left but there were plenty. I feel like I've been playing a lot but I don't really know how to check how many hours I've played, my switch just says first played 5 days ago.

I've been enjoying it so far, especially all the new stuff to explore - I really enjoy sequels where they build upon the existing world and you get to see what changed and whatnot. I wanted to enjoy the most of this game since it's one of the few games that I actually got near the release date, so I am avoiding watching any videos or searching things up. Obviously I still want to discuss the game with other people, I think that's an enjoyable part of playing a new release game with others as well.

Some possibly-but-also-probably-not interesting notes of mine (may contain spoilers):

Haven't buy it yet. I had a hope it would be more traditional Zelda, but from what I've seen so far, it decided to double down on open-world and sandbox aspect of BotW, which I found really boring.

But there is still hope the next Zelda will be return to the traditional format.
