Y.Z. Act IV: Registration and Discussion

Wow, it's that time again? Only one more act after this one. =x To make the RP accessible to new people, this Act takes place twenty years after Act III. That means the cast will be completely new, along with the storyline. However, the storyline is not revealed in this thread. This thread just states all you need to know about the world of Y.Z. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

General Plot

History is a funny thing. Months, years, as time passes, history changes. Over time, the past becomes farther and farther away, and as the lives of those who have lived during the past finally all burn out, history can be altered. Facts replaced with fiction, truth becoming lies, until the very core of history rots and becomes something new entirely, an empty shell of what it used to be.

Earth - History in Review
Humanity has suffered a great number of trials over the course of the past 200 years. In 2048, the planet itself turned on the life that inhabited it. The weather grew harsh, the ground shook and shifted, the sky plunging into an eternal darkness never once seen before. When the darkness cleared, the Earth was left a wasteland, the sky dyed a light purple, and only a few million humans remained. From this point on, the use of A.D. was discarded to mark the term of years. In it's place, Y.Z. was used, simply to symbolize the end, because Y and Z are at the end of the alphabet. As time passed, even those remaining began to die, and the remaining people began to search for an alternate method of survival. With little technology remaining, this proved to be quite difficult. However, around the year 10Y.Z., humans took to the skies. It's unknown how the earth itself lifted up into the sky of the world to form what we now live on. That itself is one of the many mysteries of this day and age.

205Y.Z.
The truth behind the events that took place during the year 10Y.Z. was eventually long lost, and the various beliefs behind what truly happened had torn the world's population into different countries that were constantly fighting with each other. Only two solid facts supported all of the beliefs. The first of these facts is that the majority of humanity had been given wings. They varied in shape, size, and colour from person to person, and it was rare for more than one pair to look exactly the same. For example, one person could have white, feathered wings, while another could have black wings similar to those of a bat. The second fact that remained constant was that somehow, someway, flourishing land floated high above the wasteland below. How this actually works, and where the land came from, however, is unknown.

One of the beliefs followed is the one believed by the citizens of the western skies, known as the Kingdom of Tealia. During the events that transpired 20 years ago, the entire royal line was lost, the kingdom turning into dissaray. As a peace offering from Carn, they sent over a member of their royalty, Princess Evaline Dian to act as a leader. Things went fine at first, but under the Princess' nose, Carn troops that had been sent to support her had started to execute a plan of their own, bringing suffering to the Tealian people. Everyone blames the Princess, and the people seem to be out for her life. The people of Tealia believe that through science, humans were given wings. They also believe that people used their last remaining knowledge of technology to raise the land, thus explaining the random holes and lakes just beneath the raised land. The capital of Tealia is called Meredy, and it lies on the floating island in the dead center of the western skies. The west is composed of many large floating island with lush forests and large cities. Most food is produced in Tealia, and shipped to other nations. As you can imagine, this becomes problematic when Tealia goes to war with other nations, because they place all focus on the war, and no focus on sending food out to the world. After the events 25 years ago, Tealia adopted the Goddess Ophelia as some form of god after her presence was introduced by the faels.

In the Kingdom of Carn, situated in the eastern skies, the land is ruled by King Piper Dian, the elder brother of Princess Evaline Dian. The people in Carn have a more religious view on the past, believing that their god, Tylonstus, gave the good people of the world wings and created flourishing, floating land for them to live on. The land in Carn is similar to that of Tealia, but it is famous for it's abundance of churches and cathedrals. Notre-Dame was lifted into Carn from the remains of Paris, France. The people here care so much for their beliefs, that when a child is born, it has the tattoo of a black rose, the king's favorite flower, placed on the back of it's left hand. The tattoo is enchanted by a form of magic known as Dation, and the effect provided insures the beliefs of anyone wearing the tattoo by sending excruciating pain to anyone brave enough to consider other ideals. However, the late Princess Rosaline had these tatoos abolished before her untimely death, and thus only hardcore believers still sport these less than fashionable body paints.

Dation is actual the Dark element of a form of magic known as Mahstion. Mahstion consists of six elements: Lionus (Light), Wation (Water), Fionus (Fire), Wionus (Wind), Dation (Dark), and Eation (Earth). Since most forms of technology have disappeared, Mahstion is an efficient way of getting things done, since everyone has the ability to control one type. Carnians refer to it as Tylonstus' gift, while Tealians refer to it as an unexplained phenomenon. Mahstion can typically be used in a variety of ways, including for attacking, healing, and much more practical uses such as helping to create weapons, or care for plants. All in all, it is a very useful, but relatively mysterious power. Some believe the floating islands are held up by Mahstion.

The third faction lives on the barren world. Wingless humans inhabit this world, using machines to travel to the islands above them. This land is referred to simply as the Underneath, and the people there loathe those with wings. It is essentially the slums of the world. There is no peace, no order, just poverty and destruction. The people of the Underneath are organized into gangs, each with their own individual beliefs. The most prominent group calls themselves the Raven Claw, a group of Sky Pirates that fly their ship across the world and steal from the winged citizens to give to the residents of the Underneath. Even the wingless have control over Mahstion, so confusion has arisen as to the origin of the magic. Over the past twenty years, the Underneath has improved significantly. A leader was elected in 215Y.Z., her name being Eve Dularis. With her leadership, the poverished world below has shaped up to something more livable.

Aside from these three dominant nations, there is also Alta, Beta, and Gregar. Alta is a neutral nation situation right in between the primary border of Carn and Tealia. It is a small country on an island similar to the Switzerland of our time in size and shape. It is very mountainous, and very green. Alta is ruled by Prince Regul, since his parents were apparently killed by Underneathers. Beta is the nation of machines. It is where all things related to scholars are conducted. Usually, Beta sells its information to other countries. It is located on a floating island in the snowy north. It is a very barren, snow covered island with metallic buildings, and is only inhabited by a few thousand people. Gregar is a small, floating nation that is constantly changing location. Because of this, the climate is constantly different. Gregar is famous for it's historical readings, and often partners with Beta for various projects.

In 202Y.Z, a new nation came into existance. Flazure was composed almost entirely of refugees from the wyvern and phoenix tribes, with any normal inhabitants being loyal supporters of the group. There have been many attempts by factions in other countries to try and mark the country as an enemy, but thanks to the efforts of the leader of Carn and Tealia, any attempts have thus far been unsuccessful. One of the main goals of Flazure is to save their brethren whom have been enslaved by other countries. As such, Flazure's military is composed of many squads with the intention of doing just that. One of the best known squads is the Archai Squad, which is composed of wyverns, phoenix', and humans alike. It is the most successful squads, and has been around since the establishment of the country. Flazure is located underground, in the earth's crust far below Tealia. As such, the cities are all underground and the architecture reflects that. To this day, Flazure still stands, and the Archai Squad still exists, only with different members. Flazure has no real leader, but rather a counsel of elders that advise it on it's political moves. After Princess Rosaline of Carn passed away, Princess Evaline took up the task of seeing Flazure's success through.

It's been twenty years since the "God" Tylonstus was destroyed beneath the sands of the Underneath, though nobody knows this even occurred. Over these 20 years, the political situation in the world has altered greatly, as most of the world's leaders were killed by Tylonstus prior to his defeat. Two plausible leaders rose from the ashes of Carn's king - Princess Evaline and Prince Piper, although since he was male and the eldest, Piper was chosen to be king. Princess Evaline was eventually sent against her will to Tealia to take the role as their leader. She was unaware that she was being used as an agent for taking over the country, as the troops she had sent with her did nothing but start conflict in the country without her knowledge.

Down in the Underneath, a city had been built specifically for Skills, which were essentially the aftermath of the battle with Tylonstus. Telfin, the only safehouse for skills across the world, came into existence after an abundance in the bizarre peoples suddenly arose. The original experimentation process had run deeper than originally anticipated, and essentually hundreds of the beings had come into existance. A skill is essentially a person whom, just before death, had been saved and had special surgical procedures that kept them alive. Skills age slower than humans, and have the ability to shapeshift, though they are forbidden the practice in the city walls. Non-skills aren't permitted entrance into Telfin, and skills aren't permitted to leave. Why? Because skills are seen as monsters by the population of the world, and would most likely be killed or worse if found in the real world. However, because of this, any Skills born inside the towering walls of Telfin would have no idea what's on the other side.

Mahstion - An Explanation

Mahstion is one of the greatest resources available to humankind in the year 200Y.Z. Originally starting out as a total myth, it was officially identified in the year 175Y.Z. by the scientist, Dr. Galenos Frederick. Dr. Frederick was the first human being to ever tap into the power. Of course, Carn was quick to label it as a blessing of Tylonstus, while Tealia had no possible explanation for it's origin or purpose. Eventually, it was found that almost anyone, wings or not, was capable of tapping into the mystical power. Mahstion soon became a popular topic in all of the laboratories across the world, and a few important fact were established.

First of all, mahstion was divided into six different types, all of which were based around a different element. There was Lionus, the light element, Dation, the dark element, Fionus, the fire element, Wation, the water element, Wionus, the wind element, and Eionus, the earth element. It was also found that a person only has the capacity for one type of mahstion, and the mahstion one possesses is not one of choice. Every type of mahstion has an opposite, and the user is in turn, weak against the mahstion opposite to what they use. The three sets of opposites are as follows: Lionus and Dation, Fionus and Wation, Wionus and Eionus.

While humans can channel mahstion, it is also everywhere. In the air, water, the light, and even the darkness, mahstion is there. When a human channels it, however, it takes on a physical form. Some machines are capable of drawing the energy from mahstion in the air to run.

While Fionus, Wation, Wionus, and Eionus have self explanatory capabilities (manipulating fire, water, wind, and earth), Lionus and Dation are not as clear. Lionus and Dation users have the ability to create a type of energy based off of their type, and can also manipulate the light or darkness for various purposes, such as creating illusions.

Today, mahstion is used almost everywhere, although applied in certain areas. The armed forces for most nations are almost always looking for new mahstion users to recruit, for it is now a common combat practice. Wionus is often used among Sky Pirates because of it's ability to help keep ships and other flying machines in the air. Fionus is more commonly used for helping in the creation of tools and machines, while Wation is commonly used among farmers and towns in the midst of a drought, and Eionus is used for shifting and moving land, often in construction and landscaping. Lionus is used as an energy source for lights and machines, while Dation is used primarily by the armies for combat uses. Of course, these are only examples.

Not everyone can freely use mahstion. Some take longer to tap into the ability, while some never acquire it at all. In truth, only about half of the world's population can use mahstion. In the cases of some people, an object may be required as a form of portal to bring out their mahstion, while others can use the power just by thinking about it. It varies from person to person. Some even have specialized items called Mahstion crayms that amplify their power. The problem with this is that it places a huge amount of strain on the human body. Crayms are in the form of a small, blood red pill, and last for up to thirty minutes.

Faels: An Explanation

Faels are descendants of the great goddess Ophelia. The word fael means "other". Every mahstion user has a fael dormant within their soul that needs to be awakened. Generally, the trigger for awakening one's fael is the need for power, be it the need to save someone, or just the need for strength in general. A fael is always, ALWAYS the opposite gender of the reila, which is the fael's host. In essence, a reila and a fael are the same being, and as such appear the same age. Think of it as two sides to one coin. The fael generally also has the opposite personality of the reila. So say, for example, the reila was a cold and emotionless person. The fael would then be energetic and caring. However, this isn't always the case. Unfortunately, the fael is split into two essences: plufael and negafael. The plufael is a positive fael, meaning it supports what is right, while the negafael is the negative. Both faels live within the reila's mind and communicate with the reila when needed. One usually holds supremacy over another, however.

Faels have a number of uses. For one, the reila can feed off of their power to further increase their own. Fael's can also switch out with their reila, becoming the dominant physical form for the body. For example, a fael can manipluate the reila's body to look like their own. They can also possess the body if the reila becomes unconscious or needs rest. The can also manifest themselves in other ways, such as a ball of light, or perhaps a hologram. Fael's can also jump from mind to mind to visit another. There are many other uses for faels, but they vary from person to person.

Wyvern and Phoenix Tribes

To clarify, there are many different types of wings in the world, but they are bunched together in classes. The ``highest`` level of wing class were white, feathered wings, only possessed by those with royal blood. Then below that was essentially everything else. In reality, there were two classes higher than the white winged. Tealia`s mythological symbol was the phoenix, while Carn possessed the Wyvern. As such, there exists a wyvern tribe, and a phoenix tribe, both with very few numbers. While these two tribes are supposed to be held in an even higher regard than the royalty, things had progressed so that members of these tribes were captured and kept as pets to show wealth. Their numbers slowly diminished until there were only a few left to freedom. Inhuman? Yes. But society didn't care. If you were lucky enough to catch one, you could fetch a small fortune in exchange. Because of this, members of these tribes had no choice but to travel in secret, hiding the features that make them so desirable. Things have improved over the past 20 years, but it isn't perfect. Some people still seek the suffering of these people, and will stop at nothing to get it.

Appearance: Standing at a meager 1,6 meters of height with a body build closer to wiry than slim Pethalamine's figure is hardly what anyone would call imposing. Her face is narrow and sharply defined, with a pair of cold, pale green eyes and a pale complexion caused by her reluctance towards any activity that involves going outside. Her hair is auburn in color, the strands at the front carefully combed over the right side of her face to conceal the white tattoo shaped like a three-tailed cat which frequently resides there, a representation of her negafael, while the hair at the back reaches a fair bit below shoulder level, almost to her hips.

Pethalamine's years in the circus and the intense training that came with them, though largely abandoned upon her move into the Ayre family, are still visible upon her body; the thin frame, the well-developed leg muscles, and the less-than-awe-inspiring athlete's chest. The most eye-catching part of her appearance, however - with the possible exception of the mark on her face - is the large, dark red tattoo shaped like a giant canine creature which resides on her left forearm.

Despite its few oddities, Pethalamine's body is fairly attractive all things said, a fact that she seems desperate to hide by means of wearing the most old-fashioned, unflattering clothes she can conceivably get her hands on. Surely, SURELY even a girl with an upbringing as sheltered as Pethalamine's must realize that the forest green, Victorian style dress with the the white, frilly collar, its billowing hem stopping just a few inches short of the ground and countless pieces of black string that allow the wide sleeves - reaching all the way to her hands - to be tightened to a semi-manageable state can not conceivably have been in vogue since its prescribed era, sometime in ancient history? General opinion also has it that the black boots, tightened by a multitude of small laces at the sides, would also have done well to stay at whatever ancient relic site they were excavated from, not that they can be seen much from beneath the aforementioned attire of choice. Pethalamine herself, however, seems completely fine with her attire, content, even, and is donning it more often than not. Some say that this is simply a reflection of her passion for history, while others maintain that it is a vain attempt on the girl's part to conceal her eye-catching birthmark. The latter theory does seem to hold a measure of feasibility to it as, no matter what clothes she is wearing or what the occassion, Pethalamine can't seem to be caught dead without at least some garment covering her arms. The young woman herself, however, has never dignified these speculations with a definite answer. She wears what she wants, thank you very much, and would much appreciate it if you could please stop badgering her about her fashion sense.

Personality: At first glance, Pethalamine seems to be something of a wallflower, usually lying curled up in the corner of whatever room she has taken residence in with a book in her lap, avoiding eye contact and answering queries as curtly as possible in a soft, polite voice. Hard-working and withdrawn, she studies hard, does her chores without complaint, and addresses her elders with the kind of slightly stiff politeness that good manners dictate with her gaze consistently averted. Never one to start an argument or pick a fight, many would take Pethalamine's behavior - and her lack of contact with others her age - as being born of shyness and insecurity.

Those who have had closer dealings with the young lady in question have quite the different tale to tell, however. Jaded and cynical way beyond her years, Pethalamine isolates herself from others not out of shyness but resentment, her polite manner being little more than a mask to hide her annoyance. To her, the majority of the world's populace consists of clueless, greedy, self-serving and bumbling idiots with whom she wants to have as little dealings as possible, choosing instead to delve into the more peaceful and secluded world of books and transcripts. Ancient history and mahstion are Pethalamine's two greatest passions, and some of the very few things that seem to bring genuine joy to her. Short-tempered and rather arrogant, Pethalamine looks down on those around her, especially the loud, outdoorsy types. She has very little patience for loud noises, pointless movement, or just about anything that would interrupt the simple, harmonious relationship between herself and a nice, long tome on mahstion lore, putting both her sharp wit and equally sharp tongue to work on those too dense to take a hint and leave her alone. Should this prove insufficient, she is also not beyond demonstrating just what she's been doing all that mahstion studying for.

In stark contrast to this behavior, those precious few whom Pethalamine does feel attached to will often find themselves wishing that she didn't, for she is fiercely possessive of her friends and loved ones, jealously guarding them from any and all others who they appear to be 'too friendly' with. For better or for worse, Pethalamine seems to feel only in extremes, with no healthy balance to be found in between.

History: Life in the underneath is rarely easy for a child, and especially not for those unfortunate enough to be born with markings as distinguishing as Pethalamine's. Whether she was willingly sold or wrested from her parents by force is unclear, but by the tender age of eight Pethalamine had already been made a possession of a traveling circus, her peculiar animate 'tattoos' flaunted for the entertainment of anyone with a few coins to spare, and though she did manage to make a few friends among her fellow side-show freaks, she was effectively alienated from all others.

Treated as more of a prized possession than a human being, her early life was a sheltered one, confined almost exclusively to the interior of the circus tent, even as the entourage she had become an unwilling part of traversed the worlds of both the underneath and the floating islands. The circus was her home, her fellow performers her family, and the endless, slack-jawed, gawking crowds her bitter enemy whom she spited by maintaining an aura of complete indifference towards them whenever she performed. Over time Pethalamine grew to accept the circumstances she was in, as human beings tend to, and was also taught various tricks of the trade to help expand her repertoire, displaying a particular talent in the field of acrobatics.

Just as the girl was about to settle with her lot in life, however, her focused little world was suddenly sprung wide open as the illegally-operated circus was caught in a surprise-raid from authorities in the middle of a performance. In the chaos that ensued, Pethalamine was separated from her companions, left to wander destitute and disoriented on the streets of an unknown Betan city. The cold season - even by local standards - had set in and the disoriented child was by no means prepared for the harsh winter storm she was thrust into, soon succumbing to the harsh gale and losing consciousness.

This could well have been the end of the, by now twelve-year old, girl's life, but as providence would have it, she had had the good fortune to collapse at the doorstep of none other than Faewyn Ayre, a local scholar and outspoken defender of Skill rights. Taking pity on the lost child, she gave her shelter in her home, and - upon hearing Pethalamine's story - eventually adopted her, knowing that local law would otherwise have decreed that the 'illegal immigrant' be expelled from the country. Fortunately for Pethalamine, Faewyn was already involved in what was locally regarded as an unusual relationship at the time, and as such even the scholar's new 'daughter's' unusual markings - and the complete lack of anything that could be described as family resemblance - was disregarded with shrugs and the odd remark on the subject. And thus began Pethalamine's new life, the girl soon picking up on her adoptive mother's scholarly habits, quelling her homesickness with studying.

Over time, Pethalamine adapted to Beta, much like she had to the circus, and even though she still recalls the old crew on occasion, she seems content to stay where he is, rarely venturing outside the borders of her new hometown, let alone the country.

Plufael
Name: Garm

Appearance: In his dormant state, Garm appears as a dark red tattoo shaped like a large, hound-like creature, usually nestled somewhere along Pethalamine's left arm. As the fael has yet to brave an in-the-flesh appearance, however, his true form remains unknown.

Personality: As Pethalamine has yet to successfully communicate with her faels, their personalities are as much a mystery to her as anyone else. Garm seems to be the more skittish one of the two, however, his tattoo quickly retreating to a more covered part of the girl's body when exposed. He also seems to have a primeval danger sense of sorts, often growing agitated when potentially dangerous or suspicious situations and individuals are encountered and alarming his reila to the best of his ability.

Negafael
Name: Serret

Appearance: In his dormant form, Serret is a white tattoo shaped like a three-tailed cat, usually residing around Pethalamine's right eye, being at his most disturbing when the girl's eye overlaps with the tattoo's eye socket to give it the impression of actually looking back at people. Whether this is truly an ability of the negafael's or simply coincidence has yet to be determined. Regardless, Serret's true form, much like his counterpart's, is still undetermined.

Personality: Much like his more benevolent twin, Serret has yet to directly communicate with his reila and remains as much of a mystery personality-wise. Whereas garm is outright shy, Serret seems to be merely reclusive, however, often hissing threateningly at any who stare at him for too long in an attempt to scare them off and only retreating from his spot by the girl's right eye if this tactic proves ineffective. Though the physics of it are largely unexplored, the negafael's tattoo even seems to have the ability to scratch those who touch it, not that Pethalamine herself would let most people close enough to try it.

Name: Alderian "The Dollmaker" Reis

Weapon Class: In true skill fashion, Alderian wields his body as a weapon. A particular favorite is a set of thin, sinewy, wire-like appendages grown from his fingertips which he uses to trap and ensnare opponents. Though hardly lethal by themselves, these wires - being part of Alderian's body - can be used to channel his mahstion straight into the victim's body, allowing him to temporarily immobilize the muscles of whatever limb the wires are connected to or, if he so chooses, manipulate the victim's nervous system to create an immense amount of pain with which to subdue the opponent.

Appearance: Something of an odd bird as skills go, Alderian seems to revile the constant shapeshifting that most of his kind indulge in so frequently, choosing to maintain a single shape at all times, save for the slight modification that is needed for battle. His chosen form is that of a male of about 20 years' age, 1,8 meters without a single inch above or below, straight backed and handsome in a certain lightly effeminate kind of way. Though not blatantly muscular, his slim frame does have more strength than meets the eye, courtesy of the cellular micro-management that his skill heritage affords him. His skin bears a perfectly even tan pigment that has nothing to do with sunlight exposure, evidence of which being the complete absence of even the tiniest imperfections upon its surface, and his eyes have a warm, light brown hue to them. In peculiar contrast to this, however, his wavy hair - reaching to about the back of his neck - is silvery white, a trait which he is either unwilling or unable to change and which gives his appearance a somewhat discordant finish.

In contrast to his flamboyant appearance, Alderian's standard apparel is surprisingly simple, though no less eye-catching, consisting of a simple white robe-like garment, underneath which one finds the greyish white dress shirt and black trousers which serve as his attire for slightly more casual occasions and the polished, dark brown leather shoes. What tends to draw the casual onlooker's attention, however, is the symbol of his church - a black cross on top of a golden wing - emblazoned on a gold necklace which he wears with unconcealed pride. Though Alderian, being an underneather, possesses no wings of his own, he has been known to grow a sizable pair of dazzlingly white, angelic ones from his back when the situation calls, only to discard them when the moment their purpose has been served.

Personality: There is no doubt that Alderian is deeply religious. This much becomes obvious from the pride with which he flaunts his Ophelian cross and warm tone he adopts whenever he speaks of the goddess and how - by her grace - he was brought back into existence from the brink of death. Much to the chagrin of his more secular brethren, he speaks of his faith often and passionately, quick to right all who would mock it and even quicker to convert anyone who betrays even the slightest interest in the subject.

Well-mannered and charitable, Alderian appears - at first - to be the living, breathing ideal of the traveling preacher, always ready to take troubled souls into his confidence and care, bringing aid to those in need and opposing cruelty and injustice, spreading the good word in the process. The more observant, however, will soon find themselves unnerved in his presence. There is a certain disturbing glow to his eyes as he speaks of his 'mission', a peculiar stiffness to his manner when his preachings go unheeded, and a disturbing lack of empathy in his punishment of crimes, seemingly regardless of their severity. The true horror is only revealed when one examines his self-appointed 'mission' closer; a true fanatic by nature, Alderian seems to have lost his grip of reality with the accident that killed his original self, now viewing himself as a messiah, chosen to create a world wherein every last, living being lives a pure, sin-free life in worship of the goddess. Alarmingly, he sees no difference in what method is used to bring about this 'purification'; if torturing someone to the point where they effectively become a vegetable or eliminating the faithless is what it takes to save their souls, then so be it.

Despite seeming to have as little fear as he has empathy, Alderian is very squeamish about all kinds of physical deformations, a trait which leads him to correct all perceived anomalies on the bodies of his 'converts'. No matter how brutal his method may have been or how severe the injuries, his victims' bodies are always found in pristine condition, a method which has earned him the nickname "Dollmaker".

History: Something of an oddity among his fellow skill, Alderian was originally discovered by a search party sent to the ruins of a former Skill experimentation lab. Though originally mistaken for a dead body, members of the expedition soon noted that Alderian seemed unusually well preserved, and - in contrast to his more unfortunate comrades, whose earthly remains were most generously spread across the walls of the chamber alongside those of the Carnite resistance who had originally stormed the facility - intact. Upon further inspection, it was discovered that the skill had actually been dropped to a peculiar comatose state, his bodily functions slowed from beyond the usually low rates of ordinary skill to a near halt, effectively preventing him from aging, presumably in an attempt to keep him in storage for a later use that had never been issued.

At first, the debate raged over what was to be done with this peculiar relic from the skill conflict (the main argument being that if a single biological killing machine is kept in a state of unconsciousness while others aren't, there must be some very profound reasons for this), many heartily supporting the notion of simply stopping his heart with a lethal injection. Fortunately for Alderian, it was around this time that the Skill rights movement had gotten organized as well, and eventually the male's new home in the fledgling settlement of Telfin - and his consequent revival - was secured.

In the beginning, it seemed like the naysayers' fears were ungrounded, for Alderian was a productive and social member of the new community, lending his skills to the service of building up the city and displaying a particularly selfless attitude in his devotion to the small but vibrant community of Opehlian worshipers that was taking root within the city. His memories prior to the revival turned out to be as much a mystery to Alderian as they were to everyone else, but he didn't seem bothered by the prospect, maintaining that he was content with this new life that the goddess had granted him, and determined to live it without regret.

Then, a few years later, the dollmaker surfaced.

The first victim, the trigger as it were, was a local landlord whose aspirations were quite far from the spiritual, the business-minded man having exerted increasing pressure on the Ophelian congression, pestering them with threats of eviction and tightening rents in the hopes of replacing them with more profitable tenants. The morning after he had sent his ultimatum, he was found dead in his own bedroom, completely unscathed save for the expression of inexplicable anguish that dominated his features. Caused of death: a stopped heart. Shocking though this was, local investigators could find no conclusive evidence, and the case was eventually abandoned, but alas, the murders didn't stop there. A year after the first incident, a would-be robber with frighteningly similar symptoms was found dead within the inner sanctum of the local church, followed by the corpse of a murderer who had claimed the life of a local choir boy. It didn't take long before this chain of inexplicable brutalities earned its own name on the street, 'the dollmaker murders', nor much longer before the common thread in crimes of the victims lead suspicions to the church's most passionate supporter. When time came to bring Alderian in for questioning, however, the priest was already long gone, vanished beyond the walls of his cloistered hometown and into the was world beyond.

Since then, rumor of the nefarious 'dollmaker' has slowly spread into the ears of the larger public, thanks in part to the very tentative, under-the-table information exchange between Telfin and a few choice authorities, but with the victims far between and less thematically unified than before, tracking the elusive murderer down has been far from a simple matter.

Plufael
Name: Cheradine
Appearance: Standing at a meager one and a half meters, cheradine's lithe, childlike body belies her power. Her skin is pale and delicate, usually clad in a frilly robe of pure white which further accentuates its paleness. Completing the image, her hair is of a lustrous, silvery color, seeming to maintain a faint shimmer of light even in pitch-black darkness. Most disconcerting, however, is the mirrored mask which covers the entirety of the plufael's face, causing her face to appear as a mischievously smiling version of whoever is looking at her. In an effort to make her plain outfit look more appealing, Cheradine has also been known to don an excessive amount of jewelry, brightly colored accessories, and just about any shiny bling bling she can get her hands on, though Alderian consequently does make a point of never carrying such things in large amounts, in the hopes of letting the plufael's avatar maintain at least a vague semblance of dignity.

Personality: Naive and trusting to a fault, Cheradine seems completely incapable of maintaining any kind of criticism towards her reila's motives, honestly believing that their actions - no matter how questionable - are for the greater good. In fact, she seems completely incapable of being concerned at all, treating life in general like a big, glorious game and allowing even the gravest concerns to wash past her. Bubbly and hyperactive to the point of driving people in general - and her negafael counterpart in particular - to insanity, her personality seems to fit the expression on her mask perfectly. She is constantly handing out peculiar nicknames to those she interacts with, trying to promote hilarity and mirth, no matter how grim the situation looks. Cheradine also has a considerable sweet tooth and a magpie-like passion for all things shiny, traits which - combined with her somewhat limited attention span - usually lead to Alderian denying her use of his body unless the situation really calls for her expertise.

Though she is hardly the brightest crayon in the box, Cheradine's skills with healing mahstion are far superior even to her Reila's, allowing her to correct and re-arrange even the messiest injuries and even bring back people from the brink of death. Needless to say, she spares no effort in using these talents for Alderian's benefit, further enhancing his belief of being immortal.

Negafael
Name: Kisei
Appearance: Standing at a height comparable to her reila's with a proud and erect posture to match, Kisei creates a stark contrast beside her hyperactive twin. Her hair is dark gray, nearly black, and always kept short and ordered and her plain, almost spartan, black dress - form-fitting, but also undeniably, inescapably, all-consumingly plain - never bears additional decoration of any kind. To further accentuate the stern appearance, her mirrored mask, unlike Cheradine's, always reflects a disdainfully sneering image of whoever looks at it. Unlike Cheradine, Kisei is also highly conservative and controlled in her motions, seemingly having trained herself to conceal all signs of body language save those that she purposefully transmits.

Personality: Trite, pessimistic, and scathingly sarcastic, Kisei - perhaps quite rightly - views herself as the only sane inhabitant of Alderian's body and consequently seeks to control it as far as possible in an attempt to minimize damage caused by 'those other two idiots'. She does not share Alderian's religious zeal, nor Cheradine's blind trust in their reila, but rather than resorting to unreliable and foolhardy possession antics like most negafaels do, Kisei instead uses their naiveté to her advantage, manipulating reila and plufael alike to her own ends. Cunning and persuasive, the negafael specializes in obscuring and warping the truth, having established herself a position of confidence in her reila's - and thus also her counterpart's - eyes by patiently pretending to support the 'good cause'. A master of illusory mahstion, Kisei also possesses the kind of strategic insight and ruthlessness that the far more playful and childish Cheradine lacks, an advantage which she has also impressed on her reila on multiple occasions, further cementing her importance in his mind as a strategic counselor and 'holy avenger' to be called upon in times of need.

In reality, however, Kisei holds nothing but distaste for her reila's behavior, viewing it as a needless risk and waste of energy that she would see stopped were it only in her power. Though this would, rather ironically, make Kisei the closest thing to a 'good' in Alderian's soul, one should not mistake this behavior for compassion. Kisei is a practical thinker, plain and simple; she has no particular qualms about the anguish and suffering that Alderian has caused, it is the fact that they are not causing it for personal benefit that irks her. More evil through indifference than actual malice, Kisei has no ambitions of disposing of her plufael counterpart, nor of controlling her reila to plunge the world into chaos and despair, nor of...well, much anything, really. All she entertains is the dream of a nice, uncomplicated life...and a vague hope that that hyperactive pixiepoof of a twin she's been saddled with would stop calling her 'Kissy'. Given her down-to-the-earth realism in these matters, however, the negafael has already realized that the former is by far the likelier prospect.

Appearance:
Since the brother and sister duo can take their own forms, despite sharing the same body (read history), this section will be broken down into two parts.

Yuki, standing at five feet and two inches, would be the spitting image of his sister had he been born a girl. At least, as far as the face goes. His hair is light red and long enough to create a sort of dome around his head, his right bangs swept off over his right, brown-red eye. His ears are also slightly pointed, and two brown horns curve upwards from just above his ears. While he is short, because of what he wears, you would never guess that he is really thin as well. On to the topic of his choice of dress - it's actually very questionable as to why he wears what he does. He wears a black, single breasted suit with dress shoes to match, and a white dress shirt underneath. Around his neck, a navy blue tie is tucked into the jacket of his suit. The white sleeves of the dress shirt also poke out slightly from beneath the sleeves of the jacket, which outlines most of his figure perfectly, except for the torso where it's slightly too wide. White, horizontal rectangular buttons roll down the front of the jacket, holding it on to his body. He also wears a silver wristwatch on his left wrist, the time displayed in roman numerals. His chakrams are portable, as they are collapsable and fit into his pockets - although they are quite heavy, as they are made out of steel. Yuki's wings are long, batlike, and clawed, and they extend from the center of his back in all their black glory.

Saki, like her brother, has brownish-red eyes and light red hair that is too dark to be considered strawberry blonde at the same time. Her horns and wings are like his as well. Of course, her frame is much more feminine, as well as the way she dresses. and, in a typical girl manner, she dresses in a dress. But not any kind of dress, a gothic lolita dress. It is a black dress with a microskirt, criss-crossing ribbons spanning between the halter straps that are attached to a lolita lace trimmed choker, and the back of the dress held up by spaghetti straps, with one, white frilled petticoat underneath the micro skirt. Her footware consists of a simple pair of black flip-flops, and her hair, which reaches halfway down her back, is parted into twin tails by a pair of black hairbands. All in all, you can see what she looks like here.

Personality:
While Yuki and Saki inhabit the same body, like reila and fael, they both have their own distinct consciousness and personality to go along with it. Yuki is the "businessman type" of the duo. He is very straight to the point, and is a quick decision maker. Despite his age, he is more than aware of the workings of the world, and isn't intimidated by the future. His businessman-like personality often shows him as a tad coldhearted, as he looks at the world from a realist's point of view, choosing not to be optimistic unless these is a solid founding for it. He also isn't very easily taken off guard. Though it's interesting to note his weaknesses. He has an unwavering fear of the dark, thanks to what he original thought would be his eternal darkness after the accident he and his sister somehow survived. Saki is a cheerful and optimistic girl who is quite opposite her brother. She views Yuki as someone she owes a great deal to, for it's his body that they both inhabit, although Yuki blames himself for nearly killing them both in the first place. Because of this, Saki has pledged her loyalty to her brother, often allowing him use of the body. Saki is the kind of person who embarasses easily, and often gets into trouble because she is clumsy with both her hands and her words. But she's cute, but a lot of people forgive her, so she doesn't think much of it. She disapproves of the kind of person Yuki has become, and tries to "live for him" since she feels he lost sight of what it truly means to live after the incident.

History:
Yuki and Saki Sumeragi were born to their rich parents a pair of twins with a strange growth on their heads: horns. However, it wasn't the first case in the world, so it was far from anything surprising. They grew up side by side, always together doing the same things, eating the same food, playing the same games, breathing the same air. Their father, Jun Sumeragi, was the CEO of Sumeragi Co., a company well known for it's excavation and development of technology that has bettered the lifestyle of people everywhere. The television, the cellular phone, the car, and the airplane are all discoveries and inventions brought forth by Sumeragi Co. during the past twenty years. Jun really adored his two children, but unfortunately he was always so busy that he was unable to see them very often. They were usually left in the care of various nannys hired to raise them. Things went well until several weeks after their tenth birthday. While playing with some friends at the private school they were attending, Yuki and Saki were taken hostage by members of a mafia presence in Tealia. What they wanted in return for the safe delivery of the two children was a more than hefty sum from Jun - a sum he couldn't provide, at least not by the time several weeks later.

The two twins, scared, starving, afraid, were bound in a small cell atop an old, unused prison on the outskirts of Tealia, and they remained there until a few days before the ransom was due. When they were being provided with food - if you could call a cup of water and three paper thin pieces of bread to share "food"- one day, Yuki saw an opportunity to escape. They only had one guard at a time, you see, so it wasn't difficult to distract the ever-changing guard into opening the door so that they could knock him down and escape. Unfortunately for them, the guard was about to change, and they were quickly pursued by the new guard to the roof of the building - which was four stories high. The encounter ended quite tragically, as Yuki lost his footing on the corroding building and fell, taking Saki with him as like always, they were holding hands. The next morning, Jun recieved a call from the kidnappers, outlining the "deaths" of his children. The bodies were recovered by the police the next day, and while both had massive brain damage and some severe wounds from the fall, they both seemed to be living. But, at the rate things were going, they wouldn't live much longer.

The two were transferred to a private clinic in Alta, where Jun decided to fork over his life's savings in order to save the life of only one of his children. Since Yuki had the least amount of damage, it was more probably that he'd live if some of Saki's brain tissue was implanted in his head. As the doctor took the children into room, he uttered a few words to Jun. "I'll save them both." The doctor's name was Stahn Evalice, and he was known to be a warlock of a doctor, making the impossible possible, but in ways one wouldn't expect. The surgery went on for one whole day, and when it was complete only Yuki remained. Things seemed normal for about a week after, as Yuki slowly recovered. However, he seemed to talk to himself often, and from time to time Jun could have sworn he heard Saki's voice. Exactly one week later, the reason was discovered. Stahn had done the impossible indeed, placing two minds in one body. While only one form existed, both Yuki and Saki coexisted in that body. Only one could remain in consciousness at a time, the body shifting to take the appropriate form for that mind. In essence, Yuki and Saki had become each other's faels.

The following four years were a little more than difficult for the two. In order to keep the truth about their condition under wraps, they were not allowed to attend school any longer, and they were taught self defense in case anyone ever tried to kidnap them again. As far as anyone knew, Saki Sumeragi was dead. Over this time, the two learned to co-exist properly, and explored every aspect of living like they did. When they were thirteen, Jun was assassinated and Sumeragi Co was handed over to Yuki and Saki's uncle. Intent on preserving his status as the new CEO, their uncle sent Yuki on a trip one year later with his death in mind.

Name: Soren T. Florence

Appearance:
Soren is a relatively tall individual, standing at about six feet in height. His hair, orange in colour like his mother, falls halfway down his back, albeit it is tied into a single ponytail by a white hairband, bangs drooping over his eyes. He usually has a pair of circular lensed sunglasses over his teal blue eyes. As well as being tall, he is also very thin at the same time, which gives him a very lanky, but not very powerful appearance. That, however, is far from the truth. Learning from his mother, Soren has become a powerful fighter without the need to appear powerful. In terms of clothes, he is normally found wearing a pair of tight, black jeans - that are torn in multiple places, particularly around the knees - paired with a black t-shirt with a large red "X" in grungey font on the front. He wears a pair of black skate shoes with white soles on his feet, and a black rope necklace hanging from his neck is charmed with the presence of a small silver cross hanging from the end.

Personality:
Soren has, it's safe to say, a more than enthusiastic personality. Well, that is, when it comes to fighting. His mother was a real tyrant in her teen years, picking fights with whomever and whatever crossed her path, despite her status as a Sister in an Azern church. While Soren hasn't exactly inherited these characteristics, he's at least been under the influence of them his entire life. In any kind of battle, despite the odds, he jumps in head first with his hoop-a-flying. He truly believes that people, especially teenagers, get farther in life by jumping in head first, and so he applies it to his fighting style. He often ends up seriously wounded as a result, but hey, most people just let him do what he wants. It's interesting to note that it contradicts his ability to rationale everything else. He is actually an intelligent individual, he just has a tendancy to underestimate his opponents. His sense of right and wrong is uncanny, but when he becomes desperate enough he tends to act against what he knows is right. For example, he will kill for money if he has gone without food for long enough. He also has an interesting character quirk in which he'll listen to almost anything a girl says. It's derived from an inferiority complex cast upon him by his demanding mother - really the only kind of girl he's had in his life.

History:
While Soren was born in the Underneath city of Azern to Tre Florence and Bianca, he was brought up to be raised in the land of Carn. While his parents loved each other, they were very different in personality, which lead to the boy being under the influence of two very different parenting styles at the same time. His mother, the violent, shut-the-hell-up kind of woman she was, represented the strength, while his father, whose nose was always buried in a book, represented the knowledge. He had both aspects thrown into the way he was raised, being trained in the way of battle and having his mind rigorously trained by his father. The result of this kind of parenting left Soren completely exhausted, but it was effective in creating a boy who knew the inner workings of the world and could defend himself. Because of the emphasis placed on Soren's training however, his two younger sisters were often neglected, and left to Soren to take care of. Soren was often visited by his uncle, Reid, and his two cousins, whom he got along with very well. His uncle would often tell him unimaginable stories that seemed too out there to be true. But somehow, Soren knew, they had to be real.

When Soren turned sixteen, his parents - well, more specifically, his mother - threw him out of the house so that he could get some "real world experience". In truth, it was because they couldn't afford to keep three kids at the time, and with is age Soren was the easiest one to kick out. He quickly found an apartment and a job at a weapons store in a mall in the capital, but he was eventually fired for his tendency to "jump right in", since he had a tendency to start conflict with people who rubbed him the wrong way and did things he shouldn't have without thinking - a trait he easily inherited from his mom, but what he describes as "the way a teen should do things". That's the way he was thinking when he impulsively took the job of killing a Semi that was being shipped out of the city of Telfin. It wasn't something he wanted to do, as his uncle had said that there was nothing wrong with being different, but the job paid super well. Though the request came anonymously, and what harm could come from killing something that Skills and humans alike would see as dirt?

Appearance:
While in years, Miki is twenty in age, Skills age physically at about 3/4 the rate of humans, so she appears to be about fifteen. Her eyes are an empty shade of blue. I don't have a bunch of time to do this now, so here is how she looks.

Personality:
Personality wise, Miki is about what you'd expect from a girl who has had nobody to rely on her entire life. At first glance you can easily tell that she's a calm and quiet girl who probably has a lot to say, but chooses not to. In a way, she's somewhat... empty, appearing indifferent to those who don't know her better. Other than thievery and trying to make ends meat, she has no valuable life experiences or talents. One asset she truly believes is the only thing she was graced with is her appearance, which has made many a thievery successful thanks to the assortment of young gentleman who were easily swayed by a pretty girl. Her general thought process is naive, as because she raised herself, she has yet to realize that not everything and anything is possible. When it comes the world outside of Telfin, Miki is more curious than a kitten. There are so many different things outside those walls, things every resident of that city would long to see if it didn't mean they'd be killed upon discovery of their origins. When the need for fighting arises, her persona doesn't change at all. She remains the indifferent person she is, and attacks her enemies with a consistant lack of regard for the fact that her life is on the line. Why? Because her life was constantly on the line in Telfin, so the concept of death doesn't scare her at all. Perhaps, over time, her outlook on life will change.

History:
Miki was orphaned at a very young age, so she has no recollection of the faces of her parents. The only memory she has is related to the blue book that she is always seen carrying around. Because of her status as a Semi - in fact she is the only record of a Semi in the entire world, she is mistreated by both sides of the coin. She has lived as an orphan in Telfin in her entire life. However, since she is fifty percent human, she has been mistreated and abused by the Skill population her entire life. She was not only abused for her half-blood, but also because she was incapable of using her abilities. The most she could manipulate with her Skill powers was her own hair, which she changed into a long chain that she can manipulate at will. Other than that, she has no true power that she is aware of. She grew up not knowing kindness or friendship, having no choice but to resort to thievery to keep herself alive. In contrast, if she were to be released into the outside world, she'd surely be killed for being half Skill. Unfortunately for Miki, her reputation became to much for the people of Telfin, and on her twentieth birthday she was attacked, knocked unconscious, stuffed in a crate, and sent out of the city into a world where she hasn't a clue what lurks.

I'm still deciding which character to use. Still deciding if I want to write a new one if I end up using Blair.

Tentative Character 1: Jazz

Name: Jazeps Dagnija (Goes by Jazz)

Weapon Class: A pair of small battle axes, each double bladed, cast into crescent shapes that are affixed on either side of the short, 1'6" metal handles. The tips of the crescents are pointed towards each other, making a circular-looking blade that extends the axes another 6 inches, while they reach 6" in, leaving the remaining part just enough for Jazz to have a steady grip on the tightly wrapped leather shaft. They aren't usually kept on his person.

Appearance: Jazz is known for always looking as if he's just woken up. His ashen black hair is not styled, instead left in the bedhead look it has when he wakes up. The long locks that partially hang in his eyes and are trimmed up to the middle of his neck in the back are usually organized only when Jazz feels like running his fingers through his hair once every now and then in the mornings. Brushes and combs are a thing of the past for him, and he vehemently rejects putting anything of the sort anywhere near his hair. His sleepy sapphire blue eyes would suggest lack of sleep, but the complete lack of bags under his eyes shows that Jazz probably spends more time sleeping than anything else. When he gets dressed in the mornings, Jazz can't be bothered to spend too much time on something like his clothes, often pulling on a pastel green polo shirt with a black notched collar. The V-neck style is cut low, down to the middle of his torso, and while it seems as though there should be buttons that allow the collar to be closed up, there is a definitive lack of any mechanism that might allow less exposure. All the better for Jazz though, because he prefers loose, long clothes to match his tall and angular frame. True to his tendency to buy clothes that are too long for him, the pique cotton fabric of his shirt extends just a little past his midsection, hiding most of the bistre colored cargo capris on his legs. The slouchy, baggy garment is held up by a simple, green, orange, white, and black striped canvas belt. Like the shirt, it is too long for Jazz's legs, and falls just short of his mid shin. The hem of his capris are pulled in by a drawstring, knotted to keep them from loosening up. On his feet are a pair of slim running shoes, comfortable and breathable, and entirely black in color, other than the green and black polka dotted laces that Jazz administered himself. The only accessory Jazz wears on his person is a thin braided leather anklet around his right ankle, which he never removes. (Therefore, it's not an extra inconvenience to put it on.) Jazz's wings are quite frankly only there for decoration, as they are two-dimensional, shaped like alto clefs, with the center peak pointing upwards, and the lower curve just barely attached to Jazz's back. Though he cannot fly with his wings, he is able to stick them onto his back as though they were tattoos, instead of wings, allowing him to visit the Underground virtually un-harmed. Jazz's most prominent feature is the very small tattoo of an asterisk on his upper left cheekbone, right under the outer corner of his eyes.

Personality: Probably not the most exciting character you'll meet on the streets, Jazz moves at his own pace, to the chagrin of many people around him. He speaks slowly and doesn't tend to look people in the eye when conversing with them. This isn't a sign of any underlying difficulties though, other than his sheer laziness. He's very confident in his own abilities, but doesn't put in effort, whether he'll gain or lose from helping out. The only way to get Jazz to do something is if it conflicts with his basic principles. While he doesn't have a physical list, inside of Jazz's head is an endless list of things that he lives by, abides by, and depending on their position on the list, he will break them in order to uphold another principle. Such as, "Leaving Other People Alone" would be discarded should someone else be breaking his principle of "Being Civil At All Times". Though they are his principles alone, Jazz seems to expect everyone to follow them. It's not rare for the few quiet words he spews to be one of his many principles, and whenever he speaks fluently for long periods of time, you can bet it's a lecture about one of his rules. If you don't include his strict tie to his list, Jazz is otherwise a very indifferent person, preferring to close himself off from others, whom rush through life too quickly. He is always calm, and it's generally impossible to burn his fuse, let alone start it, following another one of his sayings, "Everyone has a reason for Everything". Though as unsociable as he is, Jazz is the type who will give the benefit of the doubt to anyone, and a generally good kid who cares about the people around him, strangers or not. However, the downfall of his equal attitude towards everyone is that Jazz has never found himself in a close relationship, and should he ever find himself in one, he'd most certainly prioritize the masses over the friend. In general, while Jazz is quite adept at making basic friends, he isn't capable of giving his own effort to keep them for long periods of time, often having to rely on the other person to hold the relationship together.

Name: Judicialis (Judi)
Appearance: Blindingly bright and colorful, Judi is the complete opposite of her Reila in appearance. While their fashion sense coincides perfectly, their color preferences do not. Her sunny blonde hair is covered in baby blue, red, and yellow plastic accessories in all kinds of shapes and forms, bright pink hair needles sticking out of the messy bun that sits on the back of her head. Her long bangs are pulled up away from her face She has a distinctive green tattoo of a flower on her upper left cheekbone, in the exact same position as the asterisk on her reila's face. Her eyes are deep magenta in color, and blue liquid eyeliner lines the rim of her upper eyelids, the only other make-up on her face being the bubble gum lip gloss spread generously across her full lips. Her shirt consists of multiple layers, a loose, tattered ¾ sleeved top that has illegible black graffiti printed across the front and back. The large rips cause the left side of the collar to slouch off of Judi's shoulder, the baggy garment revealing a lemon yellow spaghetti strapped shirt underneath, the undershirt diagonally striped with orange. Her super short dark red denim shorts have white back pockets, splattered with green and yellow, while a thick black is belt draped across her midsection, complete with a large metal star for its buckle. Even Judi's black suede calf-high boots are decorated with keychains on the zipper to match her hair accessories, and the outer edge is lined vertically with teal. It's easy to tell at first sight that Judi is far too skinny for her own health, her super thin and angular legs, wrists and ankles falling just short of dangerous. She fails to see this herself however, and also fails to notice that her color sense is completely out of whack. Judi thinks she's very fashionable, thank you very much.

I'm still a bit too attached to Aleks the psycho Russian to let go of her completely. Maybe I could have her come back in this act, older, wiser, and just as psychotic as she was two decades before.

Weapon Class: While Aleks was forced to surrender her knives and pistol when she retired from the Tealian Forces, she was presented with a cavalry saber at her retirement party, which she gladly accepted; she is rarely seen without it at her side, and she never hesitates to use it should the need arise. In addition to her saber, Aleks has also been known to carry a KA-BAR (the very same one that was confiscated from her a quarter century ago, no less) and a civilian-made V-42 Stiletto.
Appearance: Surprisingly, the years have been extremely kind to Aleks, who has managed to retain her youthful good looks even as she progressed into middle age; even though she's pushing 50, she still looks more or less like she did twenty years ago. While she still has her Tealian Forces uniform with her, she wears it only on special occassions. Her regular civilian attire consists of a white long-sleeved collared blouse with a red ribbon tied neatly around the collar, a khaki blazer, a black pleated miniskirt, black thigh-high stockings, and dark brown penny loafers; she wears her saber and KA-BAR openly on her belt, while her V-42 is worn in a sheath on the outside of her right thigh. Her platinum blonde hair is worn down, dropping right down to her shoulders. Her wire-rimmed, rectangular-framed eyeglasses accentuate her bright, sapphire blue eyes.
Personality: Over the past 20 years or so, Natalya has become the dominant personality, largely out of necessity than anything else. Carefree and easygoing almost to the point of being lax, Natalya is nevertheless highly industrious. Cheerful, friendly, and energetic to a fault, she spends much of her time on the clock multitasking, constantly trying to encourage her subordinates and coworkers to work harder while simultaneously carrying out her own duties, only stopping to lay down the law on anyone she deems to be slacking off. While many of her comrades admire her diligence and at least learn to tolerate her bubbly demeanor, just as many see her as a mentally unbalanced, overachieving taskmaster.

While Aleks has had 25 whole years to perfect the Natalya persona, there are still times when her real personality slips through, particularly when she's angry, annoyed, drunk, or otherwise in a bad mood. Alek's real personality hasn't changed much; she still acts indifferent, speaks in a creepy monotone, makes heavy use of sarcasm, and exhibits sociopathic tendencies.
History: For fifteen years, Aleks/Natalya slaved away at Tealian Forces Materiel Command, performing research and working on various projects. It was during her time with Material Command that she got acquainted with the Sumeragi Corporation, the number one defense company in all of Tealia, who guaranteed her a job should she ever leave the military.

Weapon Class: He's made himself skilled mostly in cane, and hiking stick fighting over the years. (Think of a waist-high staff, and a shoulder-high staff.) Mostly so that he can go most places armed when he feigns a limp. In addition, while not formally trained, he's good enough at throwing loose stones to hit a good mark at a good distance. Typically though, he carries a cane made from treated graphite, but can switch around easily as others become available, and are lost. With his Mashtion though, he can also create an interesting variety of tools out of the element.

Appearance: Oscar looks normal at a first glance, but under severe scrutiny, is quite an unsettling individual. His dark brown hair is mostly unkempt, if clean, hanging at a few inches long however gravity or wind leaves it. His hazelish eyes, brown near the edges, going to dark green, then bright yellowish green near the center are always bloodshot, and his face usually has an unsettling grin. His skin is tanned on his arms legs and face, but a very pale shade underneath his clothes. His body is tone and lythe from his misadventures, and needing to get out of a bad situation on many occasions, but not professionally built or fully athletic. He always wears similar outfits of short sleeved shirts and denim slacks that hang somewhat loosely, kept in place with a black cloth belt with a brass buckle, with a very simple squared design. Over which, he occasionally wears long coats that have a slightly longer left sleeve than right in dark but bold colors. And almost always, the same durable work boots that go halfway up his calf. Another prominent feature are a large number of scars. Amazingly, he has next to none on his face, but all else, mostly covered by his clothes, are also covered in scars of nearly every type. How he got them is a mystery, until you understand his unusual mindset. His wings, not quite as large some of the largest, stretch to just under seven feet, with large soft brown feathers the same shade as his hair, almost like an owl's wings. Their only really defining feature are a few tinges of russet in with the brown, fading in very well, and only really visible in bright light.

Personality: Oscar's an interesting sort. While being a scoundrel at heart, he's also a very kind person, despite his tendencies to be a rogue. Always going the extra mile to be a gentleman, or solve a crisis, but equally flawing those opportunities by idle remarks, wandering hands, or his mental instability. That being that he has no sense of danger or mortality. Not that he's not stupid, but the concept of him being in danger, or dying simply isn't real to him. Thus, he has a tendency to leap head-first into anything interesting, regardless of danger. However, he's very rarely aggressive, even that he prefers to create illusions, defenses, and escapes with dation rather than attacking with it. He has no problems using it to boost his own abilities in a fight, however.

History: Oscar's history is at the same time, interesting at the first glance, but boring in the details. Raised from a union from a Refugee from Carn, and a Dation Scholar in Tealia, he was raised in a loving family setting, but struck out on his own at a hopelessly young age. Going away from his parents first nights, then days at a time in his early teens, having no fear, and no reason not to push his limits constantly. He's always been a scoundrel, learning his adept fighting style not from an orthodox trainer, but by getting into so many scraps, usually over women, and usually involving alcohol, money, or a combination of the above. His vagabond lifestyle has always made him money to get by on the good times, and in the bad, he would often visit scholars or military experts. Apparently, his unusual mindset type (Type E, as opposed to A or B for normal people) Allowed him unusual innovation for the use of mashtion, and when times were tough, he would often "invent" a technique to sell, (Such as using Dation in the shadows beneath your feet to walk on the ceiling) when really, his mashtion is just melded by his willpower. And so his life has continued for nineteen years, up to the current day when he's kicking back in his home nation, waiting for the booze and the women to come to him for once.

Name: Oisi
Appearance: Oisi probably couldn't be told apart from any normal human in somewhere where the sun doesn't shine directly on her. Brown hair hanging down to her shoulders, usually tied up in three seperate braids,keeping her bright blue eyes clear. Her figure, if also well built is more atheletic, and clearly seen in the brown sandals, dark blue slacks, and green short-sleeved blouse she wears. However, that changes in direct sunlight, as practically all the color becomes bleached from her. Her skin becomes literally fresh snow white, her hair loosing it's rich brown tone to a glistening moonlight silver, and all her clothes become jet black. Her only color at all is a faint, subdued red undertone in her mostly white irises. Needless to say, she doesn't like going out without a parasol much.
Personality: Generally, she's more of an extrovert. While still having a sense of danger and mortality, she's far more interested in pursuing adventure and excitement, but she's also kinder, going out of her way to "set things right" as she calls it. Slightly adamant, with more than a streak of temper in her though, she tends to be more physical, rushing into things with whatever shed thinks she can damage things most with. Usually creating sharp pointy objects out of dation.

Negafael
Name: Azara
Appearance: Azara has a striking appearance, clearly unnatural from first glance. Her skin is as black as night. It looks quite normal for texture and depth, it's simply pitch black. Her hair is a slightly lighter shade, varying ash that hangs to the nape of her neck and partially obscures her face. Her eyes a bright yellow, almost like a sunny day. Her figure is fairly well formed, fit, if not athletic, but she typically wears large robes which contain more than enough shadows for her to manipulate Dation at it's best regardless of circumstances. And it also helps her blend in with the hood up.
Personality: Somewhat more calm and reserved than Oscar, she still has a potent sense of mischief, and usually vents it by creating severely disturbing illusions for no reason whatsoever than to unsettle and unhinge those around her. She's not cruel, but it amuses her to no end to test the limits of the human psyche. Besides, what doesn't kill you...

Don't get your hopes up, this is a reservation seeing as I'm on holidays and not back until August first but I'll try to edit this a bit day by day until then.

Name: Dimitri-Nicola "Tric" Brooks
Age: 18

Mahstion Type: Eation, though he cannot conduct mahstion effectively without his goggles.
Weapon Class: A simple iron pipe that looks as if it might be more useful for gang fights than anything else.
Appearance: Wild on the outside, weird on the inside, Dimitri is far from normal. In any possible imaginable way. He resembles a punk rocker no matter what angle you look at him with, a fact that Dimitri is rather fond of. (He likes getting weird looks on the streets.) He keeps the back and front-left half of his short platinum blonde hair gelled back into spikes, while most of the middle is gelled into more lofty spikes that stick up into the air. His bangs on the front right hang freely, just barely hindering his line of vision. He doesn't mind though, since he can see perfectly out of his left eye. While it's hard to tell with the green square goggles shielding his eyes from view, Dimitri's eyes are a soft, dark gray. In terms of piercings, not many in town can top Dimitri, as she has six piercings on his face alone. Two flat steel hoops hook beside each other on his left eyebrow, three studs on his lower lips- two on the left, one on the far right, while another steel hoop hangs just on the left of the middle of his lip. While his clothes seem to change out of nowhere all the time, Dimitri has a very strong tendency to never wear anything that might seem 'average'. His choice outfit consists of a sleeveless high collared shirt that extends up to brush the lower portion of Dimitri's jaw line. Belts attached around the neck of the garment are unbuckled, leaving Dimitri's face perfectly visible. The loose-fitting garment ends just at the middle of his hip, covering parts of his slim fitting black pants stuffed into the leg of his boots, the trousers made from the same synthetic fabric as his top. Three belts hanging diagonally across his waist peek out from underneath his shirt on the left side, revealing a silver studded belt, a plain black leather belt with a large silver skull for the buckle, and a plain plastic neon green belt to add a splash of color to his monotonous palette. Going across his waist in the opposite direction of his belts are two steel wallet chains, and his white boots have a massive assortment of different kinds of zippers and buckles hanging off of them, though the zippers are pointless in the notion that the boots have black criss-crossing laces. On his right wrist he wears a black wrist warmer, held in place by two white leather bracelets. The black bracelet on his left wrist matches the white ones entirely, including round steel clip buttons and brown threading.

Back to the note of piercings, Dimitri has two cartilidge piercings on his left ear, silver hoops affixed in the holes and two silver studs on the lobe. On the right, he wears two flat rectangular earrings that hang from his lobe, each about 2.5" and black steel and silver in color. His eccentric appearance matches his slender muscular build and strong sharp features. He takes any comments about his appearance in stride, and though rare, Dimitri does have enough sense to remove his piercings when in respectful company. As such, he has a special box for all his earrings and studs which he keeps in his pocket at all times. When not in the Underneath, Dimitri wears a pair of synthetic wings, though his dislike for them is easily noticed by the foul expression he wears whenever they're brought up. At times, he chooses not to wear the synthetic wings entirely, instead hiding his wingless back with his compact custom skyboard.

Personality: Though one might not be able to tell from his wild appearance, Dimitri is a rather calm person who goes at his own pace and doesn't let anything from the outside disturb him. He is flexible and would rather go with the flow than garner unwanted extra trouble. Pride isn't much to Dimitri, just another thing that might land him in annoying spots that he wants nothing to do with. After being so strung up and rebellious as a child, Dimitri has long decided that it's easier to not care about rules, and that it's easier to just take what comes in stride, which is exactly what he does without fail. As such, his temper is rather damp, and his patience is stretched to unlimited boundaries. He has no problems with giving a helping hand, as long as it fits in with his schedule. As such, he has no hesitation to tell someone in need 'No', as much as he has the inclination to tell someone in need 'Yes'. Dimitri's indifference and wish to keep out of sticky situations makes him an expert at saying sweet things, speaking things that people want to hear, and ignoring any kind of internal protests he might have. Though he certainly doesn't look it, Dimitri gives a sense of maturity, that is really just a disguise for his 'I-just-don't-give-a-damn' attitude that matches his fashion choice much better.

History: Born in the slums of the Underneath, Dimitri had always harbored the same hatred for the more fortunate "Above Ground" as the people around him did. Winged people were conceited and took things for granted, he was told by the various people who took him in. Dimitri spent most of his childhood life with a gang of close friends, each one's record less impressive than the next. The four of them picked up skyboarding at first as an easy way to get around, cause general havoc and chaos. Being parentless and penniless was no problem; Seeing as none of them paid for anything they took. Everything was just the way Dimitri wanted, except for a stupid nickname that came with his not-so-beefy appearance. "Twiggy" quickly changed though, when Dimitri showed some basic talent with more complex skyboarding techniques, and begun practicing over picking fights with the other boys in the neighborhood. His dexterity and balance earned a change in nickname, and a change in pace. "Tric" lasted longer in his career at the boarding warehouse than with his friends, as he began to pick up basic morales and principles after being introduced to an instructor that beat some sense into him and became a father figure of sorts.

The trick competitions that Dimitri entered were always free-for-alls. Any trick, any move, any combo, it was yours for the performing. The only rule was don't kill anyone other than yourself. What other people might've considered rough times, Dimitri hardly noticed. Surrounded by people who were poor, poorer, and poorest, Dimitri had nothing particularly grand to compare himself to until he joined the trick boarding scene. He acquired a pair of synthetic wings from his instructor, from probably not-so-legal means, and was brought up to Tealia by cargo airship. All for the purpose of acquiring a custom skyboard, one that could be folded and locked in place when open or closed, and watching a real competition, rules, limits, and restrictions. Dimitri was not impressed. A free spirit from birth, rules left a bitter taste in Dimitri's mouth, and it seemed like above ground was full of rules about this and that.

The bitterness faded quickly though, as Dimitri's flexible personality left him rather indifferent about rules, swallowing them obediently without much second thought. Pride wasn't exactly Dimitri's first priority. And it was less likely that he would get rushed for having a custom skyboard above ground than in the Underground. At sixteen, his instructor suddenly disappeared. Life at that point hadn't exactly been entirely reliant on him, and so Dimitri continued life without questioning it. He'd come back eventually anyway, since disappearing for long periods of time was a habit that seemed to run in a lot of people he knew, who tried to run from their problems. He still resides above ground, often found loitering around mechanic and coffee shops, or hanging out at the boarding rink, a peaceful, uneventful life. Basic expenses are, thankfully, still paid for by his old skyboarding instructor.

Name: Unnilennium (Une for short)
Appearance: Eccentric for sure, Une's snow white hair reaches the floor, the wavy, choppy locks gathering around her bare, delicate feet. A cobalt masquerade mask covers her nose and eyes, long silver lashes, and a considerable amount of white glitter and diamonds around the edges, making an elegant white to blue gradient. She is dressed in a white yukata, the collar loosened so that it slips just off his shoulders. Blue flowery print matching her mask adorn the very end of the long rolls of fabric, and an elaborate blue, gold, and white ocean print obi cinches about her waist. The visible part of Une's face is covered in pure white makeup, the cherry red lipstick on her face showing that underneath the masquerade mask, her face is painted to resemble a geisha. On her back, thick, matted creamy yellow feathers hang lifelessly, each wing as long as her hair.
Personality: Une is a blank canvas, never expressing any emotion in the extreme. Her somewhat monotonous voice shows that she has no interest in much at all, and prefers to watch, rather than participate.

Name: Unniloctium (Uno for short)
Appearance: Quite the opposite of her other half, Uno has short black hair, almost a teal color, cut into a spiky, layered boy cut. Her sharp narrow eyes are the exact same shade as her hair, the permanently severe glare etched into her face accompanied with a furrowed brow that does nothing for wrinkles. The lower half of her face is covered with a small gas mask, a very simple mask that has a porous surface to filter the air. Uno's rough and tough build can hardly be noticed, for the wires plugged into outlets and holes in various locations on her body are much more eyecatching. The main power storage apparently on her lower spine, where all the outlets finally converge into an exposed black power surge protector. She wears a cobalt bikini for a top, along with a pair of baggy black cargo pants on her legs and midsection. A loose belt around her waist keeps the pants generally in place, but the lower piece of her swimsuit leaves her rather unconcerned about whether the black article of clothing stays in place or not. On her upper back is four flat shards of floral embossed steel, the rectangles sticking out of rotating mechanisms embedded into her back. Two pieces are on either side, and they are Uno's wings, which have no function, like Une's.

Name: Natalija Dagnija-Nikolajs

Weapon Class: Natalija is unable to use any weapons, but is a master mahstion user, preferring to manifest her dation into the small creatures that are either Minke or Meine and letting them fight for her.

Appearance: Natalija prides herself on her long, waist-length black hair, her bangs horizontally cut across just underneath her eyebrows, feathered at the ends so they appear more natural that your usual straight-cut fringe. As such, she rarely wears accessories like headbands, hats, or clips, unless necessary. Tapering ever so slightly at the outer ends, her eyes are a cool shade of gray that is never without a subtle sprinkle of gold eye shadow on her eyelids. A loose flowing, metallic gold halter top swaths her slender torso and hides any hint of the small bust that Natalija has. The fabric cinches around her black cargo shorts so that the shirt retains it's billowy shape. Underneath her black shorts, she wears a pair of sheer dark gray tights that usually end in a pair of gold ballet toed pumps that match her shirt's metallic shimmer. The soles and 3 inch heels are black in color, though if Natalija is aware that she'll be doing something that requires effort on her own part, she'll switch to a pair of black ankle-high boots that she keeps handy through means of portals. The one inch heels on the boots are considerably thicker, providing more ease of movement. She almost never wears her halter top alone, and usually tops the garment with a white jacket, the stand-up collar, hem, and loose sleeves lined with black, or a black pinstriped vest, left open at the chest and fitted for Natalija's body shape. On a day-to-day basis, Natalija wears a pair of tight black gloves that serve as her only accessory, and also protect her manicure at the same time. (What a deal!)

Personality: As with anyone who is pretty and knows that she is, Natalija can rub off as a bit arrogant and egoistic at times. She is extremely hard to budge on topics that she has resolved herself upon, and her peculiar priorities often leave many people wary of her. One priority that leaves some people baffled, but makes complete sense to her, is that crying is absolutely not allowed, because waterproof or not, tears ruin her makeup. It's easy to feel that Natalija is a very wrung up person, a perfectionist who can't understand why others aren't perfectionists like her. It drives her nuts when someone doesn't sit or stand up straight, bothers her to the ends of the earth if someone is dressed sloppily without thinking about colors, or design, and endlessly gnaws at her patience if they settle for second-rate. Natalija is quick to take over any situation and direct it to her own liking. A bossy character, if Natalija feels that things aren't moving in the right direction, which they usually aren't, she'll jump in, invited or not, and steer things back onto the track that she wants it to go. Opposition faces her short temper, civil tantrums, and very feminine protests. Natalija's smile of satisfaction or happiness is a rarity, as she's almost always able to find something to be irritated and annoyed about, and she's never hesitant to nitpick on other people, whether they ask for her opinion or not.

History: For all her life, Natalija has faced the pressure to do things perfectly, effortlessly, and flawlessly. Family life was always irritating for her, and she was convinced that there was nothing good to be had from her home. Her older brother who could complete any task given to him without blinking only piled up the pressure. Her mother, who remarried immediately after the death of her first husband preferred Jazz, who was a living replica of his father, over Natalija any day. And Natalija's own father expected her to outshine Jazz in all aspects; because he was the better man, and therefore, she should've been the better child. Things that Jazz could finish in five minutes took Natalija hours. Confined to a house in which she met nothing but frustration, Natalija was often considered a problem child who ran away from home on a weekly basis, was impossible to communicate with, and was inferior to her older sibling in all ways possible. "Jazz is better" was of course, never uttered before her, but the very phrase resonated in the faces around her when she accomplished anything. To Natalija, if it wasn't good enough for everyone else, then why was it good enough for her? Her standards continued to crank higher and higher, her frustration with herself growing stronger and stronger. Temper tantrums and tears were a regular occurrence, but Natalija found nothing wrong with crying. Crying meant that she was putting in her best effort, which wasn't enough. Crying meant that she just needed to make her best effort better. By the time she was 9, Natalija's desperation to please had been rewarded; She had perfect grades, she had a perfect appearance, she was perfect at sports, and she didn't need a catalyst for her mahstion. The praise Natalija had desired was finally uttered, but the girl couldn't hear it. Consumed by the need for things to be perfect, things that others felt were outstanding, she felt mediocre. Her best effort was no longer enough. Not even Jazz's natural ability was enough; She saw that if he actually put in the effort, his abilities might meet her standards. But he didn't, and Natalija's disgust towards her family mounted. She, who was once at the very bottom of the family, was finally able to command. Her mother was like an eyesore to Natalija, a woman whose words and opinions were no less than the dirt under her feet. Violence toward her was almost second nature; after all, neither had ever felt much love towards each other. But the perfection Natalija had so desperately desired became warped. She was perfect on the outside, but rotten on the inside. The feel she gave off was unapproachable at a distance, unfriendly up close. There was nobody who could match up to her standards, and therefore, nobody whom she needed to become acquainted with.

But change rolled around for Natalija when she turned 14. A queen in her own right, she forgot her place, and raised her hand against her brother. Jazz's patience which had endured five long years, had finally run out, and as soon as he grabbed her arm and gave her a good punch, Natalija realized that even her perfect older brother was fed up with her. Opening her pretty eyes to the reality, that she was not perfect in any way imaginable, tears that she'd always hidden to herself overflowed, even though the strike hadn't physically hurt much. The lesson was set in stone when Jazz ignored her, turning his back on her and going back to organizing his step-father's at-home files. Crying was nothing new to Natalija, but before, Jazz had always done something small to encourage her on whatever she was frustrated over. Before, Jazz had always helped her a little, just enough so that it was still her own ability, but just enough so that she could complete her task. Enveloped in her own world, she'd never noticed. Anything that she'd once considered perfect was never something that she'd been able to do on her own. Jazz's lesson to her was taken the wrong way though. Natalija resolved herself to become independant, to be able to do things on her own. She wanted to be like Jazz; in the sense that he was always the one helping, and never being the one who was helped. She wanted his patience, because only with patience could she improve at something that she was not naturally adept at. Lowering her standards, Natalija became a better person, as Jazz had hoped, but no less obsessive about perfection as she had been before; only slightly less unapproachable as she had been before. As the years passed, Natalija continued reshaping herself, and while she has learned that she needs to watch her words and actions, Natalija's inability to read the situation still makes her an insensitive person. She is still only able to make herself beautiful on nothing but the outside, while on the inside, she is rough around the edges, a blank slate with many life lessons to learn.

Plufael
Name: Minke
Appearance: Able to switch between two forms like his other, Meine, Minke personally prefers to stay in his human form, though he doesn't usually get much chance to do so. As a human, it's not surprising if one mistakes him for a female at first; his build is slight, slender, and delicate. Minke's eyes take on a shade of pinkish red, but their vivid color are obscured by his heavy eyelids and the strange cloudy white residue that is left in the bottom of his eyes. It's quite obvious that Minke is not your average run-in the mill teen by appearance, due to the fact that his skin is pale as if he'd been ill for many years, combined with his snow white hair, cut and styled into a windswept look, the strands upturned at the ends so that the white halo upon his head that reaches the base of his neck flips up and out. As is most likely obvious at this point, Minke is an albino, a fact that he has hidden from his reila by never appearing before her in human form for fear of her rejection. He shares his reila's affinity for fashion, but has a stranger taste, wearing a sleeveless black sports jacket on top of a peach colored tank top. A white lace fingerless glove is worn over his delicate left hand and arm, reaching up to his elbow, while on the other arm he wears only a large silver watch. His pants are neatly pressed, essentially normal save for the white stripes that streak unevenly up and down the black fabric. Minke wears a pair of khaki colored boat shoes on his feet, which are normally hidden by the flared ends of his otherwise slim fitting pants. A pocket watch is clipped to one of his belt loops, and he is usually wearing either a flashy black top hat or a plain black gatsby hat. His right arm is usually used as the perch for Meine, as the two seem to be strangely inseparable. In human form, Minke is half blind in his left eye, and completely blind in his right, thus the clouding of his iris'. Minke's animal form in which he normally appears before Natalija in is simply a white version of Meine, also formed from Dation, but white due to his albinism.

Name: Meine
Appearance: [art by mellolover@dA] Meine, like his other self, has both a human and beast appearance. His human self is dressed considerably more simplistic than Minke's human body. With tousled black hair that hangs over his criticizing sapphire eyes, if it weren't for his considerably more effeminate build and uptight sense of style, Meine could easily be mistaken for Natalija's older brother Jazz. Wearing only a black sleeveless cargo shirt upon his almost skeletally thin frame and a pair of slim fitting black pants, Meine prefers to go barefoot and accessory-free. He claims that the gatsby hat that Minke wears at times is actually his, but Minke refuses to admit it. He prefers his animal form, a black creature formed from dation, looking very much like the body of a small cat merged with a rabbit. The rim of Minke's top hat or sitting on Minke's outstretched arm are Meine's favorite spots, and he can almost always be found in either spot. More effective in battle than Minke, Natalija's complete control over her mahstion makes both his and Minke's level of dation considerably higher, while his obedience, disregarding his role as the negafael, is also due to the fact that Natalija is an expert Dation user. When in battle, Meine can re-form his body to anything he likes, provided it's within the limits of how much dation Natalija can produce in general. As such, the little rabbit-cat form is not his prime choice, and he usually chooses to become a different shape, also some sort of unrecognizable beast of some kind.

Name: Chikara Takami

Appearance: Chikara is a very odd girl. While she dose wear a white hooded traveling top, it cuts off just above her breasts, and allows her wings to have her wings out, along with having full-length sleeves. Underneith this is a black tube-top of sorts that holds her breasts to her body and keeps her decent in public. When her hood is down, it can be revealed she has platinum white hair that hangs down to her shoulders, with deep purple bangs that hang down over gold eyes. She can usually be found wearing onyx black lipstick.

From her waist down is a white half-dress that covers her right leg, ending at her toes with a black cuff, while the left side reveals that she wears black shorts underneith, leading down to fishnets along her left leg, but not her right. She also wears high-heeled shoes, the left white, the right black. A pair of anklets, black and white, sits on her right ankle, and to complete her appearance, her right wing is a normal white in color, while the right is a deep black, bolth of which are feathered. Her small fans can be found in leather holsters at her waist, with the large one slung horizonally across her waist.

Personality: Chikara is very kind and easygoing most of the time, but a bit too free to be any part of any one nation. She dosn't really know what's in store for her, but dose realise that she needs to find a place where she can be her, no matter how odd she may be. Chikara dislikes bolth technology, and religion. She simply wishes to be free and be one with nature, going, quite litterally, wherever the wind takes her. While she has detached herself from the world, she dose realise that she'll have to settle down one day, but feels she'll 'cross that bridge when she gets there.'

History: Chikara was born into a small family, and, at the age of five, bolth of her parents died. Being an only child she was taken into an orphanage, but, disliking it a great deal, ran away after merely two years. Deciding to try and live in the underneith, she found the people there to be less than caring, even to a seven-year-old. And thus, she began living in different places, first as to keep the orphanage from which she escaped from finding her, and then as a way of life.

She actually discovered her affinity for wind on accident, during a rather violent storm that overtook the small island chain she was living on. Feeling the need to protect the small families that lived around her, she tried her best to save the families. When she was taken up, into the storm trying to protect a small girl that had been sucked up, the winds calmed and the storm dissapeared into thin air. After many thanks, she finally left on her way, being given the tools she carries now, two small, steel fans and one large one. Although they are steel, they actually seem to be very light, as she carries them on her back and at her waist. She now simply travels from Island to island, hoping to take in all the sights and see what the world has to offer. Who knows, she may just find a place she can settle down.

She has been fairly productive in avoiding major conflict, but knows that eventually she will get dragged into it. She however, truely wishes for this all to end.

Other: She was atually born the way she is, and even by the standards of the world, her Faels are an oddity, as are the colors of her wings. How this happend she is not sure, but wouldn't change a thing about herself. Also, while in the orphanage Oruku and Daikuru were her best friends, and actually still are, despite Daikuru's sadistic nature.

Plufael
Name: Oruku
Appearance: A dark and brooding young boy in appearance, Oruku has shaggy black hair that hangs down over his right eye, slowly turning the same, cold shade of purple as his irises. He can often be seen wearing a Black shirt with a skull imprinted on it, with striped sleeves that alternated between black and the same pasty white as his skin. While he dose wear black jeans, they fade away into nothing around his ankles, proving he has no actual feet. Like his 'sister' he has small, 'chibi' wings protruding from his back, bat-like in appearance and the same color of black as his hair.

Personality: Contrary to his appearance, oruku is actually a nice, caring soul who wouldn't hurt a fly. Given the choice, he'd probably let it go, even if it was buzzing around him constantly. Oruku is probably the nicest person you'll ever have the chance of meeting, on any of the islands or the underneith. He's actually the kind of person you would wish there were more of in the world.

Negafael
Name: Daikuru
Appearance: A beautiful young woman most of the time, she has long, flowing golden hair that hangs down to her shoulders, the bangs hanging over calm blue eyes that could calm any soul. She can usually be found wearing a long, flowing white dress that hangs down past her feet a good few inches, hiding them effectively. The dress is adorned with gold frills and cuffs while two, small, gold-feathered wings protrude from the open back of the dress. She actually appears to be a few years younger than Chikara, making her look even more innocent and childish. Too bad she isnt.

Personality: Daikuru is sadistic in every meaning of the word. If she saw someone dangling for their lives over the edge of one of the islands, she'd probably kick them over herself, giggling like a little girl all the while. Close to no sense of moral, she is, thankfully, the fael you would least like to meet in a dark alley.

fael other:
Bolth Oruku and Daikuru, outside of their normal appearances, will possess Chikara's wings from time to time, creating the illusions that they are actually sprouting from her back, often at once as neither is dominant over the other, while still allowing Chikara to fly.

The so-called 'expert' had been a complete hack; all he had done was poke and prod her a few times, ask a number of banal questions, and have a long and complicated conversation with her foster mother, only to finally give it up on the third day with a vague promise to 'keep in touch' if he came up with anything new, and of course they had barely managed a few steps inside of Seratis before all hell broke lose.

And also, I'm pretty sure that Dimitri's wings are supposed to look pretty real. I always thought artificial wings were one of those really expensive underground items...? Which is why I've had Dimitri in Alta for a long time already. :/ I dunno if that'd work out too well if his wings looked obviously fake...?

I dunno. I'll wait for David to post first.
