  • For Machamp, I'd drop Protect for Stone Edge for an extra way to deal with Flyers; it also has better coverage overall than ThunderPunch. You can also use Toxic over ThunderPunch to wear down walls.

Hidden Power (Ice) and Dragon Pulse are redundant together on Sceptile (unless it's on Kyurem, when Dragon and Ice are its STABs). Use Giga Drain over Dragon Pulse; it got a power buff in the generation shift.

  • PlatinumDude is right, you should give this to Sceptile:

    254.gif

    Timid nature
    Life Orb / Choice Specs
    Overgrow
EVs 252 Sp. Atk, 4 Sp. Def, 252 Speed
Giga Drain, Focus Blast, HP Ice and Leaf Storm

Now this is what you want on your special-based Sceptile.

Giga Drain for healing while doing damage. Leaf Storm for a strong STAB move that will probably almost one-shot everything that doesn't resist Grass-type attacks. Hidden Power Ice gives you coverage against Flying, Dragon and other Grass-types. Focus Blast to deal damage on Steel-types that would normally resist your Grass-type attacks. Sceptile is one of the fastest Pokemon out in this metagame and it's sure to be the fastest member of your team. On top of that, it has the best movepool of all Grass-type starters which is nice. If you train it right, Sceptile will be a big threat to your opponents.

Remember to have Focus Blast or else Steel-types will wall you.

Thanks for all the great advice I've gone ahead and made the changes suggested. Is the team balanced or do any of the pokemon need to be switched out?

No need to worry, just keep in mind you have 3 Ice weaknesses so that's the type you need to be concerned about.

At least you have a Fighting-type that can counter those Ice-types.
