Emerald hack: Pokemon Blackened Night [Alpha 3.1] Final Alpha

Alright so its been 5 days since I last gave an update and I feel the urge to give one today.... at 1 in the morning.....
Anyways I'm working on everything graphical right now. The next alpha may not have many, if any more maps included, but lots of things will look damn good.

I've got a few battle backgrounds picked out along with a new hp bar hopefully!
There's also been a music overhaul using the HGSS music patch by gogojjtech and Wobbu.

Heres a little demo of my edited intro, so far I've only got all the sprites changed, but I plan on changing the groudon/kyogre/rayquaza bit tomorrow if I have the time.

Yea the sound is off, but that's due to conversion.

In the begin iT sounds a little bit bad BUT when you see pokemon runing And that stuf iT sounds super

That just due to the way I converted the movie. It actually is quite on time surprisingly

Also Peeps I finally got around to making some supporter bars, these arent the best but they will do for now.:)

K guys quick update, Im working on my Eagle Scout project right now so I wont have nearly as much time to work on my hack as I would like. Once I finish up the last few maps i will be releasing a new alpha that adds another gym, more towns, more routes, and more story. There are also tons of bug fixes that you may or may not have found, there will be tons of battle graphic overhauls and many more!

If you're intrested in helping out I do need some help with Pokedex expansion, Pokemon insertion and tile animations.

Ok eveyone so update. I've kinda lost all motivation for the hack like it is atm. I feel like I've taken away from the Emerald gameplay and feel too much and I don't think I want my game to be like that, so I'm going back in graphics to Emerald's original with Emerald styled graphics. Cause the way it looks right now, what the point of using Emerald if you cant even tell. It could be Fire Red for all we know.
So Blackened Night will now be gen 3 style and gen 3 style sprites.
I hope you guys agree with my decision and I hope you guys continue to support my hack and help it to grow and one day to be one of the "greats" in hacking history.

And if enough people don't want me to switch I will consider it, but atm I'm greatly leaning towards turning back.

I don't know I can't say I agree with your decision. The thing is there are so many hacks with the gen 3 style and sprites I think the community has become tiresome of it and are searching for a breath of fresh air. I think you were doing an amazing job with the nds 4 and 5 gen style graphics its just so unique to see that in a gba. Very few have been able to incorporate that style into their hacks so to me you were setting the bar high for what future gba hacks should be like. To hear now that you are reverting back to the old emerald/fire red style is just disappointing but if it was hurting your gameplay I guess I can understand where your coming from and wish you the best of luck.
 
While I do agree with Sharp, I'm not gonna be like "You better not switch because if you do I'm going to find where you live and..." well yeah you get the gist. I think you've made a great hack thus far and if you want to change it then change it. Honestly the last thing I'd want you to feel about your hack is that you're not happy about how it turned out or is turning out.
 
Agree or disagree. It's your choice. Even with the original graphics, you can make your hack great without good graphics. I think it just gets attention but still, it's not all about le graphics. You can make your hack amazing without it, supporting your decision. Good luck along the way! (:

Well, its really up to you. But I wanna see this hack in Gen 3 Style, btw. Anyway, you can make a hack that has Gen 3 Tiles beautiful, btw. Look at the hack Dark Sneasel made. He made a masterpiece with those tiles. But, the decision is always up to you.

This. See, I'm a bit artsy, so I'm fond of graphical changes in hacks, because the original preset sprites of a game start to grow dull. But nevermind my thought, this is YOUR hack. You have the right to do whatever you please with it.
 
I really appreciate the support guys! :) makes me happy to see that my hack is well liked. I havent made a descision on what to do yet, but I am still working on the gen5 style and Im also working on the gen 3 style too. But as the team hack off is going, my time is so far been pretty much that, work and sleep so updates might be slow, but on the bright side, I've found lots of info on the intro and how its setup and most of the intro will be edited.
