  • > A darkness approaches

You're not quite sure what these words mean, but something truly just doesn't feel quite right. An adventure had gone on. You and your friends had reached the end of the game and claimed your prize. Your friends and family smiled happily with you as you created something new, but for some this prize brought with it a curse. Somewhere along the way something went wrong, someone skipped over something or someone broke something. There was one or maybe two things wrong and where there should have simply been light a darkness took hold. The darkness manifested and grew into a new people. A people rich in culture; beautiful art, beautiful music, beautiful language and a beautiful planet to pull them all together. But beneath all that there was lay hidden intent. A desire for something varying from the norm. Something darker itched beneath these people's skins, and in time it rose to the surface.

    > A darkness approaches.

These people, though rich in culture lacked any organized religion. They worked and lived together through a sort of symbioses, innately being able to know what the other was thinking and what actions would in time lead to the bettering of each other. One day a single person was born onto this planet without that power however. Though this one person craved something that would put him on the same level of knowing as his brothers and sisters, he had nothing. Many years passed by on this planet with this child growing into an adult, unknowing and unfeeling to all of his friends and family. Without the ability to transmit his own thoughts and ideals through this innate sort of symbiosis that all others had held, he was ignored. Passed by without being paid any mind. He would open his mouth to speak and the others would jump back in fright, not being used to hearing such sounds as they've always spoke through a sort of telepathy. In time the others grew to hate and to fear this young man, and in time he began to hate and fear them back.

    > A darkness approaches..

Because of his lack of the connection with others, he lived his life in solitude and in silence. The man dedicated himself to the search of something greater, something to not only bring himself up to the level of his peers, but to bring him even further beyond. The man began to abduct those of his own kind and dissected their bodies, searching for those things within them that gave them such powers. Through his lack of connection he kept his activities a secret easily enough. And after fifty more years he had finally achieved his dream. He had created something that would bring himself beyond the level of his peers. The man named this creation, Za.

    > A darkness approaches...

It seemed that this man had not only made one of these Za, but multiples - twelve in fact. Into each of these Za he threw the deceased which he had studied and used in his research. The attire of each changed and a different symbol appeared on each of their chests. The twelve began to frantically claw away at their skins and uniforms, ensuring that they no longer were confined to the oblivion which this outcast had sentenced them to. The man was ecstatic. His creations were a success, and each was truly alive. Their powers had manifested and centralized around one point of each part of their personality. It seemed it was time to reveal himself to the rest of his world.

    > A darkness approaches....

The scientist left his home, and behind him followed his twelve uniformed creations. The people took notice, still sharing that common link with their deceased friends and family which were now the twelve creations of the scientist. They shared their thoughts and their feelings, and a crowd was attracted. The scientist spoke up and proclaimed himself and these twelve behind him to be gods. The people were taken aback, they struggled with this concept of multiple gods, let alone a singular one. The scientist was quickly bombarded with questions and in response he let free his creations. Cyclones appeared from nowhere, the souls were torn away from bodies and hell broke loose across the planet as thoughts were forced into the minds of the masses to murder and steal from one and other. And once all had settled and the battlefield was calm, one of the gods stepped up and lifted her hands to the sky bringing back to life each and every one of residents of the planet. The people rejoiced in, but were now fearful of the powers which these gods held. The scientist smiled. As he returned to his research, the masses began to build monuments to these new gods.

    > A darkness approaches.....

Not much time had passed, but the scientist had come up with yet another invention. An orb hovered in front of the man, a potential new planet for the people to live on. The only problem was how to bring each in. Any way that he wrapped his head around it, it followed the same principles of the Za. To enter this sphere, the people would have to be dead before they could be revived. The man pondered this problem for months, wondering how he should bring up the idea to the populace. And yet it seemed, that for now his problems would lie elsewhere. There was something in the air of this current planet that was prominent in the growth process of its inhabitants. Something which expedited their maturity process, and it seemed that in combination with his Za the gods which he had created continued to grow as well. They had become monsters, and when they opened their mouths the people ran and covered their ears out of fear. They spoke a language unknown to even the scientist, and in his fear he hid in his home searching for a way to rid the people of this new menace. Luckily enough, the traits shared by the Za and this new invention made them compatible. The gods were in truth still considered dead even though they were full of life, and with this realization the scientist hastily put each of the gods into this new world.

    > A darkness approaches......

Because of the atmosphere of the planet, this new orb continued to grow as well. It seemed that even with having got rid of one problem, if he could not destroy this creation then in time their entire world would be consumed. And try as he might have, in the end the scientist failed. Their planet was consumed, and their people transformed. Their bodies disolved into and mixed with the new planet's atmosphere. As they were as of entry not deceased, their bodies were dismantled into an innate energy, a dormant transformative power equaling that of ten thousand stars exploding at once. All of the people were gone... all except for the gods and the creator who had taken his own life. Until the very end he had continued his experiments, and finally gave in. The scientist devised two new Za which he dubbed Yal. They were better than the original Za, as the Yal had not been built to make up for the lack of power within the scientist, but to emulate that which he did posses. Moments before the scientist's lab was consumed by the expanding planet he took his own life and split himself between the two Yal. One Yal entered the planet, while the other loomed around the planet holding on for as long as it could before it was inevitably devoured. The scientist Daboth had in the end failed to achieve his dream, failing to emulate the potential of his peers and instead only maximizing his own.

    > Light

From within this new world, Daboth continued to create things and further enhanced the world that he had created. His laboratory evolved, and with his newfound immortality he devoted all of his time to finding a way to right each and every one of his wrongs. Hundreds of years passed, and then thousands, and then ever more. In this world, this prison, nothing ever changed it unless Daboth had willed it to be so. But even with all of his creations he still found himself lonely. Every so often he would approach his other self, the monster Yal which had stayed behind to grow in their former planet's final hours. The monster had taken to calling himself Yaldabaoth in order to distinguish between the two of them. But still it remained that Daboth could not understand his other half, just as he could not understand all of the others which had changed. Yet the company was welcomed all the same. Daboth's technology evolved, his lab grew and his mind raced the longer that this world existed. Though he grew to often be depressed, he managed to find some comfort in simple games that he had devised that could be played not only by himself, but with the inhabitants and the monster gods he had created. And soon thereafter he came to a realization. This game that he created and this world which he had birthed, both could be shared not only with these few others but with whatever may remain outside as well.

    > Light.

Daboth spent the next several thousand years creating multiple more of these smaller planets which he now lived on and studied them heavily along with a form of programming which he had found. The entire world around him was filled with the latent life energy of the inhabitants of his old world, and due to the nature of the world he lived in both then and now he could create nearly whatever he wanted and to whatever end. Thousands of years flew by as the scientist perfected his system and gave it a sort of sentience all its own. The program could grow and react in whatever way it felt necessary in context to the personality and wishes of those who chose to participate in it. If they desired to play this game, then they too could create worlds of their own. Daboth derived that if he had been able to create this world, then someone else had to have created him and his world. And for them to have been able to create that world, then would it not be possible that it was done through his own power?

    > Light..

At last he had finished it. The game had been created and simplified down into a simple portal. The planets he threw up into the air around him, hundreds of them shot like rockets across the sky scattering to different edges of this world. Billions of lightyears divided him and them, and endless sea of time and space. And what was to say that there even was life outside of this prison? Unsure of himself, the scientist approached his other half. After all this time Yaldabaoth spoke, and finally Daboth understood. The gods would help him with his experiment, but only if when he found their creators he would do what had to be done. Daboth smiled and agreed excitedly. Everything turned to dark, and then holes ripped open across the space around Yaldabaoth. A powerful suction force came with them, and from the scientist's robes were pulled calling cards of varying sizes and formats. Handwritten letters, emails, game discs, stone tablets, some were even living creatures. But all were gateways to the planets which Daboth had strewn across this new galaxy. The holes closed behind Yaldabaoth, and then it was explained that for in order for events to unfold in the desired way that Daboth must be left alone. The gods began to turn transparent and then disappeared. The new inhabitants of his planet turned transparent and disappeared. Every sign of life around the planet turned transparent and disappeared, and at the same time the knowledge of how to create life in such a way was also taken from Daboth. The man was left in solitude, with only a monitor with which to watch events unfold across these different planets.

    > Light...

Many many games were played. Some succeeded, many did not. Races went extinct and new ones were born. New galaxies given life, and with them a new darkness would take root. The games were never ending. Even if one should succeed, they only created another planet doomed to jump through Daboth's hoops. An infinity passed and it seemed that perhaps his thoughts were wrong, that perhaps his calculations had been incorrect, that what he dreamed to be possible was only just that - a dream. But then one session that he watched succeeded. And with their success a new planet was indeed created. Thirteen people, ten children who grew in to gods were joined by their three surviving parents from a session failed before them. Together they created a new world, and on that world appeared people quite like Daboth. The man's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. After all this time he had finally found it. Now it was only a matter of correcting this mistake.

    > Grey

Daboth entered the programming of the game which these ten plus four had played. The scientist searched back into the earliest parts of their session and found them back on their native planet. With a slight tweak, a few meteors had been redirected to crash into the homes of four of the ten. Daboth let out a sinister laugh and then left the programming. With four missing and only three there to fill their spots their hope had been lost. Daboth had prevented their winning of the game and the creation of his people and of himself. Everything around the man faded away as he forwarded back to the end of their game. The scene of which was even more so frightening than he could have imagined. There they stood afront the black king that he had rooted against so many times. A towering mass of tentacles each adorned with rings, staves or other weapons. And there he saw himself, or at least his Yal self. Yaldabaoth came from behind the creature and devoured it whole, causing the screen to turn white and explode. Daboth screamed out at the screen which lay in pieces in front of him. His hands began to turn transparent as he realized his folly, the trickery which he had fallen for. Once more he had failed to realize his dream, only managing to doom so many others. Yaldabaoth and Daboth were the same, but Yal had much more power than his smaller counterpart. If he had managed to consume and integrate that king into his own body there was no telling what may come of the future or the past. In the midst of an evaporating world, Daboth created a rocket pack and took off as fast as he could in the direction of these kids' planet. His wrongs had to be righted.

WIZ AIDEN JO AND LOST HAVE BEEN KILLED. WE WILL NOW BE STARTING BACK BEFORE ANYONE HAS HAD THE CHANCE TO CONNECT WITH ANYONE ELSE. THE PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED, BUT THOSE FOUR WILL DIE BEFORE THEY CAN ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING. IF YOU WERE SLEEPING/AWAKE ON DERSE OR PROSPIT AS OF THIS EVENT YOU MAY RETAIN MEMORIES OF CONVERSATIONS/EVENTS LEADING UP THE REDO

  • Sburb's download was complete, and immediately you were presented with some form of window with a chat going on. To the right of it was a list of usernames, and upon inspection, you recognize two of them present.

    > [alink id=belle-textlog]Read the massive text log[/alink id]

    [a id]belle-textlog[/a id]
Whoooaaa this is a wall of text alright, and its context doesn't seem to bear any good news, what with meteors crashing onto houses. And after further reading, all the other participants seem to be gone now.

Although, this ???sprite person struck your attention. You proceeded to stop your reading session and tried to decipher its messages, only to fail horribly. Some words you've deciphered, they're terms that you're not sure what they mean yet while the rest just looked a lot like garbled language.

After continuing, you found out that there are in fact, other people aside from you currently in the chat that are still alive. You're glad that not everyone's gone yet, even if you don't know most of these people. But this DR guy said that you should start connecting with each other. Is this what this game's about?

    Wait a second...

    What in the-

Did four of the members in this group explode their computers? You remember reading that the previous group couldn't make it since one of their members exploded their computer.

In a hysterical fit you replied to the chat.

    > [alink id=belle-replychat]=====>[/alink id]

    [a id]belle-replychat[/a id]
    RR: hey hey hey
RR: is there anyone out there?
    RR: ummm
RR: I guess we just lost 4 of us?
RR: what's gonna happen to us now?
    RR: wait... virulentErudite?
    RR: oh
    RR: oh nooo

Evelyn's computer was among the exploded ones; that's a really shocking realization to you.

It's really hard for you to get optimistic about this situation, especially with the impacting meteors. In fact, if you're still optimistic, you might as well go to the mental hospital.

But you don't recall Evelyn having any problems like how the previous group's computer exploder had. What more, the computers exploded as if they happened spontaneously.

Well all this nonsense just made you remember that you haven't eaten anything since this morning. You might as well get your mind off this matter before it starts to bum you out.

    > [alink id=belle-kitchen]Head to the kitchen[/alink id]

    [a id]belle-kitchen[/a id]
You head downstairs to find a quick snack. You know PAPA won't be making anything since he has been away for a couple of days for some business to attend to. He said that he's going to return soon, but soon is such a relative term that it might be right now or maybe later at night. At least you know he'll return today, and until then you got the whole house to yourself. He'll probably get mad if he discovers your snacking habits instead of cooking or having takeout.

You opened the fridge and grabbed a slice of pumpkin pie. You have to admit your PAPA can make the best pumpkin pie you've ever tasted. Maybe that's why you really like to snack on them instead of having an actual meal.

    > [alink id=belle-souvernirshelf]Observe souvenir shelf[/alink id]

    [a id]belle-souvernirshelf[/a id]
As you proceed towards the stairs, you caught eye on the animal statues souvenir shelf right beside the staircase.

You had noticed that there is always a new one added to the collection every month for a while now. You wonder how PAPA even manages to get ahold on new souvenirs every month, since he doesn't travel that often. The only other person that would these kinds of souvenirs is your MAMA, but she left this house many years ago and you haven't heard of her since. Perhaps your theory on MAMA being alive and just traveling around collecting animal souvenirs is correct.

Well this shelf doesn't concern you for now. At least it serves as some sort of pretty decor despite how cramped the souvenir statues look inside. You went back to your bedroom, pumpkin pie on hand.

    > Wake up

Everything around you started to darken. The creature's eyes darted around, unsure itself what was going on. The buildings started to blur and disappear, the clouds receded into skaia and the world became empty. The creature frantically latched itself onto your arm and then your eyes shot open.

    > Examine surroundings

You find yourself at the bottom of the steps to the room you had entered earlier. Your head is aching, and your dream was unlike any other you'd ever had. As you look up above you you catch a glimpse of something dark, an almost gelatinous figure with at least a dozen tentacles. A large bloodshot eye focuses on you and then the creature shot up through the chimney of the volcano. You look up a few moments later, seeing it hovering in the sky up there. It starts to spin, lets out a loud screech and then shoots off to the East. You're unsure of what all that was about, but surely a creature of that size won't be able to just go unnoticed for long. You continue forward, having a strange sense of deja vu as you come into the room.

    > Enter room

You enter the room and find yourself actually standing inside the volcano. You find that it's surprisingly cool and that there's no actual lava anywhere in sight. Instead, the walls of the volcano all the way up the mouth are covered with some kind of heating mechanism. But that's not what really catches your attention. In the middle of the open area is an ancient looking temple with a frog perched on top of it.

    > Examine it

You call out for Danyis several times, hoping that she might be around to tell you what all this is about but you get no reply. You try to open an e-mail to her but your tablet is still stuck on the e-mail from devoutRibber. You huff and then make your way over to the temple. You climb the steps to the room at the top and see a pedestal with a flower on it along with a timer below it.

    > Examine timer

    0, 000, 000, 000:00:00:01:07:34
    0, 000, 000, 000:00:00:01:06:63
    0, 000, 000, 000:00:00:01:05:88
    0, 000, 000, 000:00:00:01:04:12

The clock is ticking down slowly, and you can only imagine what for. Again you're struck by an odd sense of having been through these moments before. You make the decision to sit and wait to see what comes from within it. And if you're going to wait for the thing to open then you suppose you've got some time to spare for this e-mail. If it turns out to be a virus at least you'll have a few seconds to mess around with removing it before whatever comes out comes out.

    > download SBURB.exe

You download SBurb and two icons appear on your desktop. One appears to be some sort of bdsm victim, and the other its master. A client and server version for the game. As the game finishes loading, the icons are bumped to the bottom of your screen and are replaced by a massive wall of text as well as a list of names. You recognize some of the names, but the majority of them are foreign to you.

    > Examine the Lotus Statue

    0, 000, 000, 000:00:00:00:30:34
    0, 000, 000, 000:00:00:00:29:63
    0, 000, 000, 000:00:00:00:28:88
    0, 000, 000, 000:00:00:00:27:12

Only seconds remain until this thing finishes counting down to whatever it is that it's counting down to. You decide to put off reading the entire chat history and instead only read up on the last few entries before this thing pops open.

    > Reply to your friends

    Spoiler:

    >Re-examine clock

You take a closer look at the clock as the final seconds wind down. Three dark figures appear from within the blinding light as the petals gently unfurl. Three dark chess people walk out casually from its center as it curls back up and resets the timer for a few minutes into the future. The taller, fatter looking chess guy starts punching his own hand as the other two close in on each side of you. The two tall, slimmer chess guys grab your arms and hold you back as the bigger guy punches you in the face, knocking you unconscious. They exchange a few words before you pass out and then the two taller guys pull rings from their pockets while the bigger one pulls a staff out. Before everything goes black you see their bodies start to transform... and now you're back in dream city.

  • > Be the Hegemonic Brute

You become the brute, who seems to be irritated.
    Then again, when isn't he?

    > Listen to voice in your head

It seems the mysterious voidy guy is bothering you again.

    VU: How's the stuff going?
HB: GET OUT OF MY HEAD
    VU: No.
    VU: Where are you?
    HB: GO AWAY
    HB: I HATE YER GUTS
    HB: LEAVE ME ALONE

    VU: Dude.
    VU: Calm yourself down.
    VU: And relax.
    VU: Just chill.
    VU: Now, where are you?
HB: SOMEWHERE ON THIS EARTH PLACE
    VU: Okay, that's a start.
VU: You dudes made it to Earth then?
    HB: YES
    HB: STUFF HERE IS FRAGILE
    HB: I BROKE A CAR

VU: Did you now? That's nice.
VU: Is anyone else, more intelligent, around?
    HB: NO
    VU: Well, that's a shame.

    > Smash more cars

Your fists seem to crush the cars like they are made of butter. You find it fun to shape them into a big ball of twisted metal and fling them at some of the flashing lights strung in the middle of the road.

    > Stop smashing cars

You think hard for a moment before your fist lands on another car. It doesn't look like you'll be stopping anytime soon.

    > Listen to voidy man

    VU: Okay, I'm bored.
    VU: What's up dude?
    HB: SMASHING CARS
    VU: Oh.
VU: Shouldn't you be doing something productive?
VU: Like, I don't know, FINDING ONE OF THE HOUSES?
    HB: DON'T YELL

    > Find the house

Finding places has never been your strong suit. Now, smashing, smashing has always been something you're good at.

    > Smash more stuff

Your fist is already flying at a tree. It goes down surprisingly easy. You snap many trees in half before you notice the voidy man is talking to you again.

    > Listen to voidy man

    VU: Okay, sorry.
    VU: I overreacted.
VU: Whose house are you looking for?
    HB: THE PUNY PAGE
    VU: Okay, let's see.
VU: I can just hack into one of the satellites orbiting Earth and see where you are...
VU: It might take a while. I'm not exactly sure where I am in space. Or where you are on Earth for that mater.
VU: Could be close, could be far.
    VU: Ah! Found you!
VU: I'll assume that house is the closest of the four to you.
VU: Go forward until you reach an intersection, then turn left, go forward to a dead end, then turn right, and then the house should be...
    HB: TOO MUCH TALKING
VU: Fine, just walk until you reach the intersection.
    HB: WHAT'S THAT
VU: Just walk until a bunch of cars hit you, then turn left.
    HB: GOT IT
    VU ceased eVOCing HB

    > Follow the yellow car

The yellow car taunts you with its bright color. You chase after it, swinging your fists in front of you. You keep chasing it until the voidy man starts yelling again.

    > Listen to voidy man

    VU: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
HB: THE YELLOW CAR HURT MY EYES
HB: I WAS GOING TO SMASH IT

    VU: :|
VU: Well, you're actually at the right house. So, good job?
    HB: YES
HB: I'M VERY GOOD AT CHASING YELLOW CARS TO PUNY PAGE'S HOUSES
