[Event] Crabominable's Ice Party

Hi i'm macho, its the holiday time here, and after celebrating with my mother, she gave me the greatest gift i could ask for, permission to start my pokemon journey! i went to professor elm after bumping into my friend Lyra and he told me about his friend Mr Pokemon, i looked through the 3 pokemon he offered me as a starter and one stood out to me, adorable narrowed eyes, a roaring fire on its back, i had to pick little Cyndaquil. i think i'll call him Backfire because well duh he has fire on his back :3

i went to mr pokemon's house, and a nice man called Professor Oak gave me this pokedex thing to record data on pokemon with, and mr pokemon gave me an egg for Elm. ok i went back to cherrygrove city and ran into a rather dour looking young man with blood red hair. he wouldnt tell me his name but he wanted a fight, his totodile was no match for cyndaquil since i was trained more! he dropped his card and i found his name, he panicked and snatched the card back before running off. at the lab i found out that a pokemon was stolen! the policeman blamed me but Lyra backed me up, i told him about the young man i met and that his name was Silver. Elm took the egg and was impressed about my pokedex, saying Oak mustve seen something in me. he said i should go take on the gym challenge the first one being violet city, i said goodbye to Mom first who nicely offered to save money for me, but i'm fine with my own money.

onwards to violet city i beat some trainers near cherrygrove with Backfire and got to the city itself, i climbed the sprout tower and saw Silver beating the head sage, he called me weak and left! the nerve of him! i beat the sage too and got the flash TM then left the tower, Backfire evolved to quilava inside. in the gym Quilava took care of the trainers and then i faced Falkner himself.

this was a tough fight but nothing Quilava cant handle! ember took down pidgey in one shot, pidgeotto took it better and struck back with gust, and a 2nd. i was running a bit low, but so was he. one final ember finished off pidgeotto. falkner congratulated me and handed me the Zephyr badge and Roost TM. he then said i should go to Azalea town.

so i headed out of the gym and got a call from Elm saying his aide was in the pokemart with a gift, it was the egg i got him earlier! he wants me to hatch it! i progressed down towards the pokemon center near union cave and ran around a bit inside to hatch the egg. Togepi hatched from it and i decided to name her EggBirb knowing what she will become.

i trained her against trainers i missed on the way down before movng on to the cave, thankfully she knew a strong move in Extrasensory so nothing was too difficult, she beat all the trainers in Union cave and i made my way to Azalea town where i saw a man being bullied by a man wearing a black outfit, oh this can't be good. well i've decided to take a break now at the pokemon center, i'll resume my adventure later.

So a nice man named kurt told me about team rocket hunting slowpoke in the well, i dont want that to happen so i followed him and fought team rocket after he injured himself, Proton was tough but nothing my little EggBirb couldnt handle. i met silver near Ilex forest again and had a difficult fight, togepi beat gastly easily but it got cursed requiring a switch to Quilava, right into Croconaw, so quilava put up a fight but got beaten nonetheless, leave it to EggBirb to finish it off and make short work of Zubat. went into Ilex forest, got cut and caught Hula the oddish i'm sure she'll help the team with her moves once she learns them. Hula got switch trained at the gym. Bugsy was difficult as usual in hg/ss stupid u-turn scyther, but quilava took a hit, one shot metapod, then scyther came back in and used focus energy followed by quick attack, 2 embers put it down, kakuna was last and Eggbirb picked up the win with extrasensory.

i proceeded through the forest, catching a 2nd oddish to use cut and got to the day care where lyra totally flirted with me lol and gave me her number, score! anyway from there i hit up goldenrod and got a radio card then cleared out the underground, cleared the gym and fought whitney. I'd heard from others she was tough and they were right. Clefairy got whittled down by hula, not before a metronome fire blast took her down to 3HP, healed her up and finished it though, miltank got charmed 3 times then put to sleep, then leered a few times by quilava but after a couple of headbutts and a super potion, quilava died to a 3rd rollout, oddish took a 4th rollout and put it to sleep, then scored a critical hit with Acid followed by another Acid finishing miltank.

Whitney cried a bit then gave me the plain badge, she told me about the pokeathlon dome opening near the national park, i went up and tried it out but i was no good, maybe another time.

So after failing at the pokeathlon, i decided to try another contest, the bug catching contest! i caught a nice high levelled scyther and hoped for the best, i won! and the sun stone was mine. Hula levelled up and evolved into Gloom, i then used the sun stone to evolve her into bellossom. EggBirb finally evolved after a few more levels with the new Soothe bell item. i found an odd looking tree and a girl said she was from the flower shop and squirting the tree with water might make it move. i went back to Goldenrod and grabbed the squirtbottle, then back to the tree and sure enough it was a pokemon named Sudowoodo! it attacked but Hula beat it easily. further on i ended up in ecruteak city, met a nice man called Bill and saved an embarrassed Kimono girl from an annoying team rocket grunt, Hula took care of his koffing easily enough, a nice gentleman gave me the HM for surf. went to the burned tower and fought silver again, eggbirb made short work of Gastly, and zubat, hula took out croconaw and Backfire beat magnemite, simple battle. met a man named Eusine who thinks Suicune likes me or something, idk. anyway Morty was back at the gym so i went through the annoying fog and Mediums to meet him. Quilava fainted in an earlier battle and i forgot to go heal, whoops. not that it mattered Eggbirb was enough on its own. gastly cursed me and got killed by Extrasensory. haunter cursed Hula and got put to sleep, eggbirb came back in and finished it. eggbirb yawned gengar then got hit by hypnosis putting both to sleep at once, Eggbirb woke immediately and hit extrasensory, then got hypnosised again, after a mean look and some failed sucker punches she awoke and yawned again, gengar was back in dreamland and another extrasensory took it to the red, Morty healed, another hit took half with no sitrus berry to heal him this time a 2nd shot finished it. Haunter was his final pokemon and it cursed me before Extrasensory finished it. good job EggBirb!
