I really like how they're giving us some of the most rare Pokémon this early in-game. First the Kanto starters, then Hoenn starters (well, these are event-only, but everyone should be able to get them since the event is worldwide), and now Riolu? What's next? Haha. I do hope that we get to have a Gible though, because I would love to get my hands on Mega Garchomp.

Aquerial sounds quite nice. I wonder if it'll have any evolutions or pre-evolutions? Also, I'm glad that they're having a fairy-type gym. I was kind of hoping it for it to be the final gym, though, and not the second. d:

I don't see how Chesknight would be a grass/dark type... Since knights are usually seen as something good and dark types are more sinister. Perhaps he will be grass/steel?

Just a reminder to remain sceptical of leaks until they are proven true - and that goes for those posting images as well.

Case in point, one of these leaks claimed along with the pictures that the day-night system would be ingame time (say half an hour = a day in the game). However, this just doesn't hold water, given Masuda in an interview stated the system will run off the 3DS clock (just like with Pokemon games the last couple gens). Legit images, maybe, but certainly fake information. I'm pretty sure that if I read rightly that info was claimed by this Italian source as well, but someone can pull me up if it was someone else. Then there was the case with the guy posting 16 pictures of the box - while those were true, everything said about the games were fake.

Besides, these people stand to be in a lot of trouble if they leak stuff when they shouldn't. A lot. That in itself is iffy. In fact, it's dangerous for Pokemon fansites to even report on them and post up the images themselves. Back with BW, a whole bunch including pokebeach and serebii got pulled up on Japanese images of the games when the games came out in English, or somesuch. It's a risky thing to do, basically.

I concur! Given Quilladins hardened appearance made me think it would get a type like steel, though I first would've guessed rock or ground due to its move set. If Chesknight IS real, I can totally see it being a steel type. And if its dark type, perhaps it could be unique in that it is a more scary and fearsome knight like sleepy hollow. But Quilladin looks too friendly to become anything like that :3

This depend in which country tho.

That's a bit more extreme a punishment though. =p

On the note of the mentions of embargos being lifted on the 4th btw - that's just on the review time, I suspect. Ie that can't post a review earlier than they are allowed, and what's in said review is also limited. So basically I doubt we'd get much more than we'd expect to in the first place.

On the topic of reviews how do you guys think it'll score in Famitsu? I have a feeling it'll score less than B2W2 for some reason...

Your guess is as good as mine. Mind you, I don't recall the B2W2 score save for it being lower than BW's, which was 40/40. Yet I certainly prefer the sequels to the 1st 5th gen games, so each to their own.

In my opinion, Pokémon X and Y are going to score a lot more than any of the fifth generation game was ever able to. d: These games have better graphics, improved mechanics, better sound quality, and tons of new features, so yeah. The storyline may turn out to be a bit similar to previous Pokémon games, but that won't be a huge issue.

True, I did too, even though I felt that they could've been better.

I read another rumor on the Pokejungle comments saying there's a Mega Mienshao (which the fighting gym leader is said to have), and possibly Megas for Raichu, Loppuny, Octillery,Golduck, and Jynx based on a red circle in their menus. I don't believe it though as Mienfoo evolves at level 50 and Korrina is supposedly fought early one...unless Korrina is worse than Ghetsis in terms of having Pokémon she shouldn't yet have...

I would love to see Raichu get a MegaEvolution. It's one of my most favorite electric-type Pokémon. When it transforms itself into its Mega form, I hope that it gets a raise in its Special Attack and Speed. This would make it a whole lot easier for us to utilize it as an offensive Pokémon. Plus, it would bump its tier as well. If the entire rumor is true, then I'm looking forward to Mienshao's MegaEvolution, too. Mienshao is a very fun Pokémon to use in battle. Mega Mienshao would be even more fun! (:

Thanks a lot. I'm kinda bored so I'm gonna give my opinion on these leaks. Ok first of all I don't believe these leak are real, it all just seem very coincidental and ill explain why in a moment. I wanna start with the way this person introduce herself.

To me the restrictions shes giving for what she can or cant post is really specific and convenient. I don't actually believe GF would give any reviewer permission to leak a lot of their game before release and only have the restriction of not leaking the starters evolutions pictures. This to me seems like a convenient way to post fake images of either fake pokemon which we really cant tell if there real or not since we don't have the Kalos dex or game screens that already exist just tweaked a little. Finally why would a person risk their job by saying they are a reviewer from a certain place? easy shes not a reviewer and only claims that title so people would believe her.

What a coincidence that GF confirmed that the starter evolutions will be based on the RPG Archetypes and we have these names. The problem isn't that the names don't represent the RPG theme well (except Kyubixen that name ain't good), is the way that the names throw that at your face with such obviousness that bothers me. Also she can even post the starter evolutions names, but still no pictures of just the starter evolutions....

Again with the coincidences. We saw a pokemon the other day which people speculated could be a Koala and this person says there is a Koala pokemon.

The other things in the leak I cant say much about really, seems speculations to me taken from known facts. What got me interested in this rumor is the pictures shes gonna post tomorrow, I wanna see what that about.

Well BW got 40/40 in Famitsu so in that magazine's scale XY can't beat BW only meet xD.

I also noticed how a lot of the rumors of the "italian reviewer" fitted well with recent speculation...too well...

I doubt Korrina will have a Pokémon that evolves at Level 50 if she's one of the first four gym leaders like other rumors are saying...as the 4th usually has Pokémon around the 30's. Unless XY's gym leader's Pokémon levels are way higher than any other generation, which would be nice...

These are confirmed to be fake. Said person admitted to making it up.

Imo it seemed obvious it was fake in the first place. The starter names are horrible- actually all the Pokémon names he listed are horrible. Alexa was a very obvious guess from what we've seen in the anime. The koala thing was just way to coincidental. And besides there is no way Fairy will be the second Gym type lol.

Bummer, not that it was fake but that she didn't atleast try to post fake pictures .I would have liked to see those.

People better get ready for a bunch of fake leaks as the game release approaches.
