Hi Everyone! I recent decided that it might be fun to make a new team as I am getting kind of bored of my old one. I'm really just look for suggestions on Pokemon I should use to fill in the other three spots in my team. The Pokemon in my team right now are...
    Excadrill
    Lucario
    Tyranitar

As you can see I'm running a kind of Sandstorm team however I don't want that to be the only aspect of my team. For any1 that took the time to reply or read this, Thank you!

  • A common mistake when making sand teams is loading it with nothing but Rock/Steel/Ground Pokemon. It may be tempting to make the entire team immune to sandstorm, but that's stacking common weaknesses, mainly Water, Fighting, and Ground. Excadrill and Tyranitar is a good start, though.

    Excadrill:
    -Earthquake
    -Iron Head
    -Rock Slide
    -Rapid Spin/Swords Dance
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb
    Ability: Sand Rush

    Tyranitar:
    -Stone Edge
    -Crunch
    -Pursuit
    -Earthquake
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Band
    Ability: Sand Stream

Fighting resistant Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini, Charizard Y, and Latios pair well with Tyranitar:

    Tapu Lele:
    -Psychic
    -Moonblast
    -Hidden Power (Fire)/Focus Blast
    -Thunderbolt/Focus Blast
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf

    or
    -Psyshock
    -Moonblast
    -Focus Blast/Hidden Power (Fire)
    -Taunt
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Fightinium Z/Shed Shell

    or
    -Psychic
    -Psyshock
    -Moonblast
    -Hidden Power (Fire)
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Specs

    Tapu Fini:
    -Scald/Defog
    -Moonblast
    -Nature's Madness
    -Taunt
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 248 HP/8 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

    or
    -Calm Mind
    -Scald/Hydro Pump
    -Moonblast
    -Taunt
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 HP/24 SAtk/232 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

    Latios:
    -Draco Meteor
    -Psyshock
    -Defog
    -Trick/Thunder Wave
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf

    or
    -Draco Meteor
    -Psyshock/Psychic
    -Hidden Power (Fire)
    -Defog/Recover
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Soul Dew

    or
    -Draco Meteor
    -Psyshock/Psychic
    -Hidden Power (Fire)/Thunderbolt
    -Trick
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Specs

    Charizard Y:
    -Flamethrower/Fire Blast
    -Solar Beam
    -Focus Blast/Hidden Power (Ice)
    -Roost
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Charizardite Y

  • While you're at it, Landorus-T is also one of the most commonly used sandmons, because it's excellent resistance-wise: it's immune to ground and resists fighting (+intimidate nerfs most fighting mons considerably); it's also immune to sandstorm obviously. Make sure you have your water weakness covered, though.

    @ Leftovers
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 24 SpD / 16 Spe
    Impish Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - U-turn

On that note, if you're dead set on using Lucario, you might want to consider Toxapex; aside from resisting water and fighting, it's also capable of setting Toxic Spikes, which might be invaluable in helping Lucario safely OHKO things.

    @ Black Sludge
    Ability: Regenerator
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
    Bold Nature
    - Scald
    - Toxic Spikes
    - Haze
    - Recover

If you do decide to go down this route, the Scarf Tapu Lele PD suggested above should also be considered as you could stand to be a little more specially offensive. It provides excellent coverage and access to revenge kill: a lot of roles filled with one slot.

    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature

    - Hidden Power Fire
    - Focus Blast

I think your team could benefit from Magnezone tbh. While you can break through bulkier steels with that initial core, being able to trap and instantly be able to eliminate Skarm, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn will be really nice.

Tangrowth could be another good option. Tang can stomach opposing EQ's which currently none of your team can do. It also doesn't fear sandstorm damage as it can heal with Regenerator and Giga Drain. Gives you a nice matchup vs Greninja and other bulkier waters as well.

Just a note, I don't think it's a good idea to use Landorus-T with Excadrill and Tyranitar. Stacks weaknesses too much and Landorus-T doesn't take advantage of the sand. Toxapex also checks similar Pokemon that Landorus-T deals with, such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Lopunny, etc. Toxapex can't handle Zygarde and Garchomp as well as Landorus-T, but Chase's suggestion of Tangrowth is suitable for that. edit: However, offensive Flyinium Z Landorus-T could be good because it lures in Grass-types and is contributing to the team offensively. Be sure to have a lot of Water resistances to compensate.

Anything that can threaten Skarmory, Celesteela, Tangrowth, and Rotom-W would be good. That's one of the reasons why Mega Charizard Y is so common on sand teams. Tapu Koko is another option too:

    Tapu Koko @ Magnet
    Ability: Electric Surge
    EVs: 112 Atk / 144 SpA / 252 Spe
    Naive Nature
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Brave Bird
    - U-turn

A little weird, but the EVs guarantee that Brave Bird 2HKOes Assault Vest Tangrowth after Stealth Rock damage. If you use this, you could try Mega Tyranitar.
