with the recent think pieces (Pitchfork's & UpRoxx's) on the top 200 albums of the 2010s as a decade being posted I thought it could be fun to have a thread to post everyone's favorite albums from this decade. feel free to make the list as long or short as you want.

2013 - blood orange - cupid deluxe this is a hard choice between this and like, sky ferrira and mbv.
2014 - probably wouldve been real estate - atlas at the time but whoops! im gonna say perfume genius - too bright
2015 - arca - mutant
2016 - blood orange - freetown sound im a stan i cant help it
2017 - charli xcx - pop 2
2018 - probs beach house - 7 or robyn - honey idk i dont remember that much from this year
2019 - theres albums i havent yet listened to that i want but probably fka twigs - magdalene lol

I honestly didn't listen to much modern music before 2014, as before then I didn't have access to streaming/online music and had to listen to my parents' classic rock from the 80s (which by the way, is great music, but a) it's not 2010s and b) gets old when you hear the same songs for the first 11 years of your life). But, I'll try my best!

2016- The Getaway by Red Hot Chili Peppers (I see you, Sawsbuck!)
2017- reputation by Taylor Swift (honorable mention to So Good by Zara Larsson, most years it would be #1 but reputation is my favorite album of all time)
2018- Expectations by Bebe Rexha
2019- Lover by Taylor Swift

knowing me this will probably change by the 31st. its a lot harder going by year for me cos so many of my favorites were released in the same years, haha. my list is rly 2015 onwards heavy cos i didnt really develop the taste i currently have until then
