5th Gen What did you name yourself,your rival and your pokemon?Why?

Me:Tyler (half my real name)
Rival:Hugh

I don't name my Pokemon.

I think I named my character Hamako, since that is my PC username.
I left the name of the rival default, no point changing the name.

For myself, I'm called Zara... and obviously a girl. :pink_tongue:
For my rival, I believe I called him Spike. Probably because of his spikey personality... and his hair. xD
For my Pokémon, I only named my Tepig/Pignite/Soon-to-be-Emboar Flame. I've always had a fire starter called Flame. :pink_smile: For he rest of the Pokémon I catch, I leave their names alone. In White though, I LOVE naming Pokémon! :chu: But for a Pikachu or a Piplup, or even a legendary Pokémon, I leave their names alone too.

Me: Jonny, since Jonathan couldn't fit.

Rival: Hugh

And I don't name my Pokemon, so yeah~

I have named a few guys in white 2.

My Pidove is Si. (if you know what that is from it might make a tiny bit of sense)

I named my Riolu Jet (I didn't wanna us Sokka for him)

And in black two I just caught a female exadrill that I named Toph.

Myself: Bob. That's what I always name my character in Pokemon games. Or pretty much any games, for that matter.

Rival: Hugh. Because it's the default, and when I say that "Hugh blah blah blah," people should immediately know who I mean.

Pokemon: Other than solo runs or nuzlockes or the like, I don't nickname. I go through far too many pokemon - catching and training and evolving and trying out movesets and putting them on my team and taking them off my team - to come up with anywhere near enough good nicknames.

Main Character: Brandon (my real name in almost every Pokemon game I play)
Rival: Suckit (because most of the rivals are just plain jerks, and because I always defeat them)
Mudkip: Tidal Wave
Tailow: Skyward (named after the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword for some reason)
Numel: Tambora (just because it sounds cool)
Magikarp: Worthless (because he is)
Chimchar (Inferno because it sounds cool)

Not really started on my White 2 yet, but here's what I've planned.
Player: Cookie (my nickname.)
Rival: Morris (because I don't like the name Morris.)

Pokemon:
Clefable - Pixie (obviously because Clefable is based off of a pixie/fairy type critter.)
Typhlosion - Simone (after my favorite singer.)
Togekiss - Fondue (this is if I manage to get a shiny, which is a light fondue color. I'm not sure what I'll name it if I can't get a hold of one.)
Haven't decided names for my other Pokemon yet.

Character: Faye (I love that name for a girl)
Rival: Nick (after myself irl because I play as the girl all the time now)
And I don't usually nickname my Pokemon.

Rival: Kyte (Just because he looks like a Kyte to me.)

Lapras - Kristoph (Another original name, and Lapras just feels like a Kristoph.)

Flygon - Aria (One of Flygon's Pokedex info mentions that its wings can make a sound of a woman singing.)
Latios - Eonalias (Just a combination of Eon and a random word.)
Espeon - Reki (Named after a character from Aria of the Scarlet Ammo, a serious I enjoy.)

Me: Cadenza (...I like MLP ok?!)
Rival: Axel (Favorite Meerkat!)

In Japanese version, I named the character as myself: Felita
and the rival is Baka *shot*

in USA version, I chose boy and named the character 'Lie'- a part of my Chinese name plus to troll people XD
And the rival is Hulk.

Character Name: Bee (Because...it's...my nickname?)

I have a Shiny Espeon named Chii (After the main character in Chobits)
Hydreigon named Sepheiran (idk why)
Serperior (F) named Midori
Elekid named Kasey (After the Electabuzz girl in the anime)
Koffing named DOGARS (lol)

....eh...some others I don't recall off the top of my head.

I just went with the default names Nate and Hugh

As for the pokemon I don't usually nickname them often but I did name my Galvantula Twitch (formerly Tweek when it was a Joltik) and my Skarmory Metalstorm (probably gonna change it to Metalcore)

I named my character Byakuya, after Byakuya Kuchiki because he is my favorite male Bleach character. My rival was named Mayuri, after Mayuri Kurotsuchi, my least favorite "good guy" character from Bleach.
My current team in White 2 (because it's the only one I own for now), after defeating Iris, and going through Whitetree Hollow, is:
Zangetsu/Garchomp (simply because the fins on Garchomp remind me of Ichigo Kurosaki's Zanpakuto in its Shikai state)
Shirayuki/Glaceon (I wanted to put the full name of Rukia Kuchiki's Zanpakuto, Sode no Shirayuki, however the ten letter name limit didn't allow for that)
Benihime/Latias (Benihime, when translated to English, means either "Crimson Princess" or "Red Princess". Therefore, it is a fitting name for my Latias)
Virizion (I honestly couldn't be bothered trying to think of a nickname for this thing)
RyujinJaka/Emboar (Bla bla bla most powerful Fire-Type Zanpakuto bla bla bla fitting name for Emboar bla bla bla)
Haineko/Liepard (Haineko, when translated to English, means "Ash Cat")
