  • This thread is about alternate history of Pokémon in the real world.

Basically a few changes in the past about Pokémon in history.

    Here are two of them.

    1. In one alternate universe of our world. Pokemon never was created. Basically no games, no anime, and the franchise itself never was born. Long term outcome is Nintendo dies, anime does not become that popular, digimon takes Pokémons place, and life would be boring as heck.

    2. In another one. Digimon and Pokémon have their fates swapped. Digimon becomes popular and Pokémon is the one being called a ripoff.

You see in this universe. The employees of Nintendo have discovered bugs in the first Pokémon game. So they delay it. During this time digimon manages to sell their products to the United States first. Pokémon tries to do the same thing and tries to sell their products to the United States but ends up being called the ripoff and it never attains the same glory as it used too.

Why cause the digimon company can just sue the Pokémon company.

This idea come from a alternate history website where they imagine a alternate history of something.

  • This and the Pokemon Human history thread you made are similar enough that I'm merging both into one thread. For any future similar discussions of this nature, you should post them in this thread instead of creating a new one. :o

Also I doubt Nintendo would die without Pokemon; sure I think they'd take quite a bit of hit because of Pokemon's popularity but in an alternate universe where Pokemon didn't exist, they'd just lean more on their other IPs instead.
