  • Day Two: Saturday 20th August

    Trading Card Game:
    Swiss rounds for players who earned a Day Two invitation and players who advanced from Friday. This will be treated as a new tournament: match records from Friday will not carry forward, and players are not required to use the same deck they played on Friday.
    Later on Saturday, the Top 8 players will compete in single-elimination rounds.

    Video Game:
    Swiss rounds for players who earned a Day Two invitation and players who advanced from Friday. This will be treated as a new tournament: match records from Friday will not carry forward, and players are not required to use the same team they played with on Friday.
    A top cut of players with no more than two losses (and no ties) will compete in single-elimination rounds later on Saturday. These rounds will use the best-of-three game format.

    Pokkén Tournament:
    The 16-player Senior Division will play until a Champion is crowned.
    The 64-player Masters Division will play until a Champion is crowned.
    The event will be double elimination, with all matches being best two-of-three games except for the following matches which will be Best of Five games:
    Senior Division: Winners Finals, Losers Finals, Grand Finals
    Masters Division: Winners Semifinals and Finals, and Losers Eights, Quarters, Semis, Finals, and Grand Finals

    11:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m.: Pokkén Tournament Senior Division Finals

    12:45–4:30 p.m.: Pokémon TCG Swiss Rounds

  • Fuck yes, I managed to score a spectator badge. I got one of the last badges after catching the first train in at 6am, badges were gone immediately after they started handing them out at 7. For Sunday, you may need to camp out overnight tbh, or get up very very very early. The line is behind the Mariott near the Jewish history museum and St. Patrick's Church.

    Wow! So pleased that Potetin won the Masters Division! Being able to play so many characters at such a high level is epic! A true and deserving World Champion! And I never expected to see a Chandulure in the Grand Final! Refreshing!
