• As the month of September draws to a close it is time to vote for a winner of the first annual September Serpents original pokemon contest.

I am ecstatic to present these 6 incredibly detailed and deserving fan-made creations. Congratulations to all participants. You have all done well! These newly discovered pokemon are a dream come true. You guys are already winners to me, so this will be the hardest part.

The poll is here, ready for folks to vote on your favorite serpent entry. Absolutely anyone can vote. You may select as many or as few Pokemon as you would like. You are allowed to also vote on your own entry if you are competing.

I have thought about this a great deal over the last 48 hours, and have decided that because I still have plenty of pokemon on hand to share I will continue to give Milotic away during September Serpents. If you cast a vote in September Serpents then you may contact me to redeem a complimentary Milotic. Instead of making pokemon this time you may simply participate by voting. Since we have really awesome fan-made Pokemon I want to encourage as many people as possible to come view the hard work of your fellow pokemon lovers, and vote on whoever you would like.

As with all prizes given away for September Serpents there is no obligation to accept a Milotic. You can just come and vote for fun, and waive your prize. However, I wanted to give anyone who may have missed the chance to create their own serpent Pokemon the opportunity to still have a commemorative Pokemon from September Serpents because we don't want anyone left out during this time of fun and games.

For those of you who have already created their own serpent Pokemon I have one more surprise in store. Regardless, of where you place in the contest you may redeem in addition to Milotic a Pupitar with Dragon Dance as a reward for your hard work and talent.

Surprise, surprise! Pupitar's a serpent? Well, maybe not quite, but while his evolution Tyrannitar is based on Tyrannosaurus Rex, Godzilla and Anguiras, the pre-evolution Pupitar's arms and legs are still developing inside of his hardshell body. With its large lidless eyes, knowledge of dragon dance, ability to shed its skin and capability of propelling itself through the mountainside without any appaent limbs, I hereby make Pupitar an honorary Serpent for this festival. Will any of you contestants adopt this shy fellow and raise it to be the dragon that it was meant to be? It's waiting for you just in case you want to be its trainer.

As per usual all Pupitar will have 6 OR 5 appropriately distributed ivs, pokerus and a valuable held-item to give their trainer.

Without further ado, here are the SPECTACULAR September Serpent Pokemon.

Spoiler: Serpeel
Name: Serpeel

Type: Water/Poison

Abilities; Effect Spore and Poison Heal

Appearance:
pFKdA3D.png

Background Information:
Serpeel spend their time around dark ocean floors during the day sucking in small organisms and plant matter or resting. At dusk they swim into the more populated parts of the ocean to hunt for just about any fish they can find. They attract potential prey with the soft glow of their tongue before quickly gulping or latching on to them. Once caught, the victim is licked apart by the creature's highly acidic tongue and corroded by enzymes that are released to help break down its' food.

Lv. 1 Crunch
Lv. 2 Lick
Lv. 3 Astonish
Lv. 4 Attract
Lv. 5 Gunk Shot
Lv. 10 Take Down
Lv. 15 Sludge Bomb
Lv. 20 Wrap

Lv. 30 Dive
Lv. 35 Venom Drench
Lv. 40 Hydro Pump
Lv. 45 Toxic Spikes
Lv. 50 Aqua Ring

Spoiler: Reignboa
This Pokémon is based off an Aboriginal Australian deity, the Rainbow Serpent. It also takes inspiration from the rainbow boa! :)

Name: Reignboa
Species: The Rainbow Serpent Pokémon
Type: Water / Dragon

Abilities: Multiscale

Physical Features:

Reignboa's winding serpentine body consists of deep orange scales and a pale yellow underbelly. Along both sides are markings; circles within circles connected by three wavy lines, a symbol that represents waterholes or running water in Aboriginal Australian art. Two rounded horns extend from its draconic head, and between them is another waterhole symbol. There are no pupils in its glowing white eyes. This immense Pokémon's most remarkable feature is its beautiful, flowing, diaphanous sail that runs down the length of its back, shimmering in every colour of the rainbow.

Background Information:

In arid regions, Reignboa is regarded as a giver of life, bestowing rain upon the dry and thirsty lands. This volatile Pokémon protects its people but can be devastating when angered. It is said to inhabit permanent waterholes.

***

Stories tell of a star falling from heaven, taking the form of a giant snake that shaped the featureless earth, providing ridges, mountains and gorges. Whenever a rainbow appears, it is believed that Reignboa is moving from one waterhole to the next.

Moves:
Lv. 1 Dragon Rage
Lv. 1 Glare
Lv. 8 Rain Dance
Lv. 15 Ancient Power
Lv. 22 Brutal Swing
Lv. 28 Aqua Ring
Lv. 35 Dragon Tail
Lv. 42 Crunch
Lv. 50 Dive
Lv. 54 Dragon Dance
Lv. 64 Earth Power
Lv. 71 Aqua Tail
Lv. 80 Sacred Fire
Lv. 85 Outrage

Spoiler: Muzon
Name: Muzon
Type: Fire/Water
Height: 2cm
Weight: far far less than even a single ounce

Biology: Muzon are the pests of the Pokemon world, often mistaken for simple earthworms or other such things, they are in fact more akin to tiny lizards or even pseudo dragons; forked tongues, scales, and very long bodies that comprise 90% of their body, with the other 10% being their lavish and decorated tails. Humans of the world are fascinated by their tails, but due to their size and general rowdy nature, being able to examine the tail of any Muzon can be very, very tricky and taxing. Every Muzon has a distinct design on their sharpened tail as well, only adding to the frustration.
They do have small forearms at the very top of their bodies and a tiny mouth with searing hot teeth. The claws ooze the same crimson heat as well. No legs, though their tail blades also emanate the same heat.

They are overall a melange of a deep shade of maroon and black throughout, with very tiny specks of baby blue across their body in seemingly random positions.

Physically overall, it is thought they could in fact be a distant cousin of the Pokemon Electross, as the two share very similar traits in many areas.

To use one in combat tests the true mettle of any trainer, as they can be difficult to capture anyway, despite their size. They usually band together in large groups, which is their preferred method of causing chaos.

They are not known to evolve.

Habitat: They live in the wild or in cities, generally in areas where humans least expect to see them. In a lake pond, waiting to make their habitat uncomfortably warm to any unsuspecting visitors, be it other Pokemon or humans; and have even been known to set up inside human habitats, such as inside drains, or even hot water heaters; all with disastrous results.

Abilities:
Flame Body or Rust (its signature ability that causes all moves regardless of type to inflict double damage to Steel types)
Hidden Ability: Torrent

Stats:
HP: 25
Attack: 95
Defense: 20
Special Attack: 110
Special Defense: 30
Speed: 88

Spoiler: Levyriath
Name: Levyriath
Species: The Revolutionary Pokémon
Type: Electric/Ghost (Data Forme), Steel/Psychic (Realized Forme)

Ability:
Singularity - Under normal circumstances, Levyriath mainly exists in "Data Forme." However, when Levyriath's HP reaches 0, it changes into "Realized Forme" and regains all of its HP. Once in Realized Forme, it becomes a Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon, its ability changes to Levitate, and its entire moveset is replaced (as listed in the "Moveset" section). At the end of a battle, Levyriath will revert back to Data Forme if the transformation took place.

Physical Traits:
In its Data Forme, Levyriath appears to be a fuzzy golden hologram resembling the shape of an East Asian dragon. In terms of size, it is slightly smaller than a Milotic. Although Levyriath's body is made up of static, it can still feel many physical sensations that other Pokémon are capable of feeling.

When Levyriath changes into Realized Forme, it creates a giant robotic airship resembling the mythical creature Leviathan. Levyriath channels all of its data into this airship, which essentially serves as its body during the transformation.

Background Information:
Originally known as "Project Wyvern," Levyriath was created by a group of researchers who were studying the concept of immortality. The goal of these researchers was to develop a "spirit" program that could evolve and flourish independent of its body. They decided to test the waters by designing a simple computerized Pokémon modeled after a serpent.

This serpent (named Wyvern at the time) evolved much faster than the researchers could anticipate. Although it was merely a computer program, it learned how to exist both physically and digitally. Wyvern's true form is that of an electric hologram, but it gained the ability to create robotic bodies to reside in. The computerized serpent Pokémon eventually developed instincts of its own—instincts of self-preservation, and instincts of constant evolution. Wyvern's newfound instincts caused it to flee from its creators, and it abandoned its namesake in the process. Craving to evolve even further, Wyvern decided to re-model itself after the mighty Leviathan. Thus, the Pokémon "Levyriath" was officially born.

Habitat:
Although Levyriath can easily materialize in the real world, it often hides itself as data inside electronic devices. It can travel freely throughout the network and may instantly emerge from any computer, TV, or smartphone screen across the globe. Be careful!

Moves (By Leveling Up):
Lv. 1 Shadow Sneak
Lv. 1 Thunder Wave
Lv. 5 Spark
Lv. 10 Confuse Ray

Lv. 17 Feint Attack
Lv. 25 Night Shade
Lv. 30 Spite
Lv. 42 Volt Switch

Spoiler: Calabar & Filigree
Name: Calabar
Species: Constricting Pokémon
Type: Ground/Water
Ability: Disguise
Size: 1 meter long
Evolves into: Filigree upon learning Earthquake at level 35
Description: This snake lives in lush Rainforests but is rarely seen out in the open. It's head has evolved over the generations to act as a blunt shield as it burrows into the ground. It's also been known to be in lakes and rivers. It's tail resembles that of its head so as to confuse enemies. Small by constrictor standards, it's Evolution is much larger in size and lethality.

Base Stats: 305
HP: 45
Attack: 60
Defense: 45
Special Attack: 50
Special Defense: 60
Speed: 45

Move set:
Wrap(level 1)
Water Gun(level 10)
Dig(level 20)
Glare(level 25)
Scald(level 30)
Earthquake(level 35)

Name: Filigree
Species: Constricting Pokémon
Type: Ground/Water
Ability: Disguise
Evolves from: Calabar
Size: 10 meters in length
Description: This snake is huge and not to be trifled with! It can incapacitate a Mamoswine within minutes of wrapping its body around it and squeezing with its strong muscles. It's intricate design on its body confuses enemies and this snake primarily lives underground by burrowing into caves, streams, rivers or lakes. It only comes out to hunt and it can be found in rainforests, grasslands and even on farms preying on local animals. Caution is advised when battling this Pokémon.

Unique quirks: It learns an exclusive move in incapacitate(15 PP), a Normal Type move upon evolution that prevents the opponent from moving or being swapped out while dealing damage for two to five turns. If this snake has the speed advantage, you can figuratively squeeze the opponent until it faints.

Base stats: 520
HP: 90
Attack: 100
Defense: 70
Special Attack: 90
Special Defense: 100
Speed: 70

Spoiler: Quetzalcoil
Quetzalcoil

UPrkEmg.png

Name: Quetzalcoil (Quetzalcoatl plus coil)
Species: Precious Pokémon
Typing: Dragon/Psychic
Egg Groups: Undiscovered
Gender Ratio: Genderless
Catch Rate: 3

Abilities:
Wind's Favor: When Quetzalcoil is sent out to battle, it instantly whips up a Tailwind.
Quetzalcoil doesn't have any Hidden Abilities.

Height: 6.2 m (20'4'')
Weight: 240 kg (529 lbs.)

Appearence:
Quetzalcoil is a big serpentine Pokémon covered in long green feathers. A bit behind his head, a pair of small bat-like wings spout from its body. The head reminds of a dragon, but feathered as well instead of scaly. Blue feathers cover the underside of a strong jaw, filled with curly, yet sharp, teeth. The top and sides of the head are red and the feathers standing upright at the sides of the Pokémon's face make it look bigger than it actually is, giving Quetzalcoil a fearsome yet majestic appearance that makes it worthy of its status as a legend. A layer of yellow down feathers covers the Precious Pokémon's snout and surrounds its eye sockets. Herein lie deep purple eyes, sparkling with an uncanny intelligence. A pearl, its color matching Quetzalcoil's eyes, is nestled in the Pokémon's neck and emits a dim light.

Biology:
The skies are Quetzalcoil's domain. If you had to guess, you'd say this Pokémon would never make it off the ground, but fly it can. Spotting the legendary serpent is an exceptional occasion, but the rare sightings of the Precious Pokémon report the winds being bent to the Pokémon's will to lift it off the ground.

When resting, Quetzalcoil hides itself in the depths of ancient temples, preferably those located deep inside the jungle, far from civilization. It never truly sleeps however. During its meditation, its purple eyes turn hazy and a thick purple mist swirls around inside the gem on its neck, as the legendary Pokémon receives visions on the past, present and future. Only its keen sense of smell keeps the serpent aware of its surroundings in the real world while journeying through its mind's eye.

PokéDex entries:
Pokémon Pink: Quetzalcoil is an ancient Pokémon that has lived for many years. It is said that it shared its visions of the future with the kings of old.
Pokémon Purple: Quetzalcoil manipulates the very air in order to fly, creating uphill air current that are subjected to its grace.

Base stats:
HP: 100

• Eh well like I said, I can't earn anything from this since I don't own anything recent lol. Maybe you can lobby Caite-Chan for a VPP award or something(say a Mega Ring?). Also, you should do something for Halloween with another create a Pokémon contest. I posted in the Fairy Club about creating Dark/Fairy or Ghost/Fairy Pokemon since Mimikyu is the only one in the Ghost/Fairy category. Dark/Fairy would be insanely overpowered... with Fairy, Poison and Steel as its only weaknesses. Ghost/Fairy is even stronger with Steel and Ghost as its only vulnerabilities.

• Yipppeeee! We have a new Serpent King in our first September Serpents contest. After a fierce and very close competition I am pleased to announce Serpeel as the first place, a tie between Queztacoil and Reignboa for second place, and in third place we have also a tie between Muzon, Levyrianth Calabar & Filigree.Congratulations everyone!

Seeing the birth of all of these amazing serpents has done my dragon's heart proud. These were mind-blowing Pokemon, no wonder it was so close with several ties.

As first place gold medal winner Kai Ai has won a contrary Snivy for creating Serpeel!

As second place silver medalists Hyzenthlay and Lycanthrophy are both entitled to a Marvel Scale Dratini.

And for our wonderful bronze medalists Epilogue, Code Helmet and Enpatsu Shakugan a Gyarados with moxie awaits.

Some contestants have told me privately that they are not playing for prizes but for just fun and the chance to express themselves, which is awesome too. If you do wish to redeem your prizes though then let us begin trading pokemon-lovers. I will be in contact with each of you.

In addition to the grand prizes all players may redeem their choice of marvel scale or competitive Milotic, a Dragon Dance Pupitar, and a Steelix too if you answered the bonus question.

All voters also can take home a complimentary Milotic. This contest would not be possible without all of you! Contact me for a trade if you would like to collect him or her.

I sincerely enjoyed hosting this event, and would be interested in doing more activities like this in future.
