Might be a small struggle. Knows and cares fairly little about real-world locations.
Name: Ephe Region
Based on: Canada and Cinderella. Revolves around a month-long day/night mechanic. Changes from normal in the day to more whimsical at night. Alters everything from architecture to route paths to Pokemon forms. Chose Canada for having some areas with unusual day/night cycles, but not being completely frozen over.
Pokemon introduced to the region: A flying squirrel (Grass/Ground by day, pure Flying at night), a timber wolf (Ghost/Fighting by day, Normal/Fighting by night), and a porcupine (Ice/Electric by day, Steel by night).
Are there regional variant of A SAID pokemon? Solrock and Lunatone. Certainly needs them. Sort of views day or night variants as the "regional variant" of older Pokemon. Imagines day Houndoom being Water/Fire, for example, but Fire/Dark Houndoom at night.
Gyms in that region: Day version: Water, Fairy, Grass, Ice, Rock, Normal, Poison, and Ground. Night version: Fire, Dark, Psychic, Fighting, Steel, Ghost, Bug, and Electric.
Elite Four of that region: Combines two types each. First: Normal/Psychic. Second: Ground/Flying. Third: Ice/Fire. Fourth: Dragon/Fairy
Etc: Locks Pokemon into their day or night form when caught. May switch between day and night in postgame (similar to Sun/Moon). Acquires a consumable item to switch Pokemon between forms.
