[Original World] Caeruli: The Planetwide City [Developing Demographics]

Hailing from the planet Earth, over one billion humans reside on Caeruli. After humankind became cognizant of galactic life, Earth's governments fought to achieve space travel ahead of one another. In what the humans have dubbed World War III (a sequential event on Earth), their planet was obliterated and their species suffered massive losses. Following this civil war, the Earthlings that survived sought refuge and help from the intergalactic community. As a result, humankind was moved en masse to Caeruli, which welcomed them openly to the galactic community.

As a result of their relative primitiveness and naivety in intergalactic affairs, humankind has only recently joined the UGC and is quickly settling itself into life on Caeruli. As a show of gratitude however, the Earthlings volunteered and joined the Caeruli Defense Force. They make up nearly 50% of the officers and soldiers of the CDF. Upon arrival to Caeruli, every Earthling was equipped with cybernetics to adjust them to galactic life.​

The Oppylists were one of the five original species of alien to begin governance of the galaxy. Their history is vague and shrouded in mystery, though the entire galaxy knows they are masters of politics and leadership. Well-loved as a species among the galactic community, they rule justly, but also with a level of compassion. Of the five original species to found the UGC, the Oppylists remain the most powerful and influential. Known as one of the world peacekeepers, the Oppylists led the campaign to save humankind from extinction.

The Oppylist are asexual beings of one gender (biologically ambiguous), but reproduce through typical amphibian means - the laying of eggs. These eggs grow in a sac located above the neck of the parent, leading most Oppylist to cover their heads and neck with shawls and hoods.​

The Kaishi are an ancient species hailing from Iidha in the Dark Sector. Boasting a population capable of rapid reproduction, the Kaishi have been a repeated thorn in the side of the UGC. Most recently, in 37 U.T. (ultra tempus - the yearly designation following humankind's discovery of the galactic community. In Earth years, reference as 2134 A.D.), the Kai-Ysbio Genodice occurred which resulted in the deaths of over 12 million Ysbioi (nearly resulting in their extinction) and 40 million Kaishi. The UGC intervened in the conflict and tamed the Kaishi as a result, limiting their reproductive abilities by mass execution of all but seven female Kaishi.

As per UGC Resolution 2397.92, these seven Kaishi remain in secretive custody on Caeruli, but once every six years are given visitation and allowed to reproduce which can result in over ten thousand births. Of those births, the UGC decides the quantity to allow into galactic society. No female infants survive this culling process unless an aged Kaishi proves unable to give birth. The Kaishi on Caeruli are unruly and violent, living in Sectors 1928 and 1929 almost exclusively. Some Kaishi can be found elsewhere on the planet, but these are often considered outcasts due to their lack of aggression or desire to fight.​

The Albastii are a species of pure innocence, inquisitive but cautious, whose diet consists solely of water. Life on Caeruli for the Albastii is difficult given the planetwide city, but benefactors from their own species and others helped fund and build an aquatic habitation district. This aquatic district is frequented by the planet's Albastii who spend much of their time in or near this water. Across the planet are similar zones, smaller in size, to house the Albastii were there to be a water shortage in the main habitat. The Albastii are a member species of the UGC, represented by the eldest among them. Their lifespan can extend well into the hundreds of years, and as such, part of Albastii culture urges them to seldom reproduce.​
