    The storyline is still being tweaked, but here's what the storyline is as of now:​

    As per usual, with every other main Pokemon game, you're just starting off
    as a Pokemon Trainer.
    The main character will be about 16y.o.; they're usually 10, but I think
    they always seem to go through a bit of hell for a 10y.o.
    Anyway, back to the story. Whilst going along the normal journey of
    travelling from city to city, battling the gym leaders to enter the pokemon
    league and catching all the pokemon to become a Pokemon Master, you
    run into an evil organisation, called Team Aphotic.
    They want to find and capture Jirachi, and use the hidden power in it's
    body eye so that they can summon and control Regice, Regirock and
    Registeel. With control of the Regi's they plan on taking over the country.
    Finding Jirachi won't be easy for them, though. It could be anywhere
    within the 3 regions of the country. That's not to mention Team Aglow,
    who are trying to stop Team Aphotic from harming Jirachi in the process of
    their evil plan.
    As any nice trainer would, you take somewhat of a detour from your
    journey and help out Team Aglow stop Team Aphotic. And who knows?
    You might even have what it takes to capture Jirachi yourself and protect
    it from any further harm.​

    Kay, so i've got an idea for the gyms...kind of a different approach. Tell me if it's any good...:
    I'm thinking of putting the battle area in the gyms (like you get in the elite 4); you always see them in the gym in the anime and i kinda wanna get that feel.
    The problem i have is: A) I've never tileset edited before and i'll probably screw it up, and B) I don't know if i should ONLY have the leader in the gym (also like the anime) and scrap the other random trainers in there.

    With problem B, it'd take the fun out of working your way to the gym leader (which i think is a kewl thing about the games)

    Just for now. I want to get the story pretty much finished and make it at least playable before i start changing tilesets.

    I'm not very good at making tilesets (yet) and i dont like using the same ones that everyone else seem to use.

    (even though i guarantee that i'll contradict myself with that at some point)
     
    Looks like a big hack! Should be fun to play a totally new game rather than just iterations on the older games

    yeah, a few ppl have said tht it will be a big/huge hack.
    indeed it will, but not so big that it's impossible.
    not even impossible by myself.

    could do with some help though...

    so to anyone out there who wants to help me out with this, get in touch!

    I should have some new screenshots soon (maybe tommorow)
    Gonna be mapping tonight and tomorrow.
    Even if it's jst one new route, i'll try to make it immense and upload some screenshots
     
    Man, you're gonna be in for a haul with those features; Good luck, if it helps. But I think you should put the little arena thing inside the gyms. When you learn some basic tile inserting, you'd find it simpler than you think..But I'd also leave the trainers inside the gyms, too. I mean, it WOULD get kinda lonely in there with just a one-person Gym.

    Yeah, i've kinda finished the 1st gym (without the arena style layout) but it needs another trainer in. It does seem a bit empty.

    I'm sure it is simple to insert tiles, i'm just concerned about messing up colors...
     
    Im not *Too* bad at mapping, so I could always beta test and fix up glitches I see in the map.

    I could try and push on with the basic layout of routes etc and you could touch em up of you like.

    I need help with this, but i dont wanna feel like i'm putting a load of work on people. I could do with some sort of team.
