  • Every region comes with it's own Professor, each different in their own way. The one characteristic that keeps them together however is their names (Oak, Elm, Birch, and Rowan). They're all based off trees or plants of the sort. What name do you believe Isshu Region's professor will carry, and do you think it's possible the pattern may be broken with a new female professor?

    I'm thinking Prof. Almus (...yeah, I did look that up. My dictionary on trees aren't very wide) XD; I'd like it to be a female professor, just to change things up a bit, but I'm probably leaning more to the fact that GameFreak may just use another male professor for this region.

    Good catch, but it may not have been a spoiler or easter egg, just a coincidence.

  • I seriously want a female professor this time around. I mean, four guys already? And Ivy was only in the anime, so she doesn't count.

    Woman please!

  • Professor Ivy. xDD Well I really do hope for a female professor in this generation, it will have a different feel to the game. I bet they will study the creation of pokemon, where they came from.

    Personally, I've always wanted there to be a female professor, and not one that just appeared in the Anime (Professor Ivy in the Orange Islands). But I just have a feeling that there isn't going to be one, though. But I got to choose the name, I wouldn't mind seeing something along the lines of Professor Satsuma, Professor Cypress, or Professor Willow.

    But besides the gender and name, I wish the professor would have a more prominent role in the games. Maybe one that doesn't just sit in his/her lab all day and randomly calls you, but one that actually meets you at various points in the game and helps you out? I don't know, I just overall wish there was more involvement with NPCs. ^^;

  • Professor James.
    He could have some sort of, how should I say this...charming aspect about him? That would be a bit interesting ^^

    A female professor would be a nice change though.

    I wonder what hte professor will expertise in. Oak seemed to be well rounded, Elm in Pokemon eggs, Birch, I don't recall, and Rowan in evolution. Maybe this one will relate to natures.
