5th Gen What Will Your Bring Over Through The Transfer Machine?

    As we eagerly await for the release of Pokemon Black and White and the excitement of seeing unseen Generation Five Pokemon, have some of us still remembered of the older Pokemon?

    You remember them, right?

    Like Pikachu? Meowth? Togepi?

    Great, that refreshed a few brain cells, huh? :)

    So Pokemon Black and White has this cool little feature called the Transfer Machine. It works like the Time Machine back from Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal. This can be used once you achieve the National Pokedex.

    The thing is though, you need two DS systems, any system, from the original DS to the latest released 3DS.

    Sending a DS Download Play program wirelessly from Pokemon Black and White to either Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold or SoulSilver, you will be able to send any normal Pokemon and certain event Pokemon from that game to the other game.

    This is currently the only way besides the Dream World to get older Generation Pokemon.

    So what will you be sending?

    Your beloved Charizard from back in FireRed that you transferred to your Pearl as soon as you unlocked Pal Park, taht useless Geodude you used as an Hm Slave to get that rock out of your way, or your sensational Gardevoir who has been by your side in all your contests and has all the ribbon colors of the rainbow?

    I'l be bringing my precious Blaziken that I'm currently E.V training and have it squash any evil coffins and electric speiders in my way. ^_^
     
    I will transfer in clones of my favorites because I want to be able to enjoy my Generation 4 games too.
     
    How about the Legendary Trio from HG. That way i can get the Fantom Pokemon too...
     
    After i get the national dex i will transfer my precious L.100 Mewtwo over. Its followed me since LG. And has been in Diamond, platinum, SoulSilver.
     
    I'll just transfer over some of the Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh starter babies bred in Platinum, HG and SS.
     
    Ill most likely bring over my breeding stock and EV trained Pokemon, just like i did from DPPT-HGSS. Id list some specifics, but i have too many to remember. xD
     
    nothing! im trying to keep this as a complete fresh start, though i will probably transfer the legendary beast and celebi just to get zorua and zorark
     
    I'm with Chillarmy. As soon as I found out about B/W, I decided that I wasn't going to bring over the Pokemon on my older games and just keep them on one game. My new Pokemon in B/W are going to have to not meet their older brethren, apparently. Probably because I just want B/W to be completely new to me, with no possible attachments at all to my older adventures.

    The only reason why I might transfer is if my Pearl version starts having problems and I want to save a few Pokemon on there.

    Besides, I'm still trying to complete the National Pokedex on Pearl. I'm so not going to try at all in these games.
     
    I'll be trading over my entire Pokedex, although I'm not sure yet whether I'll breed babies of ALL the Pokemon I have on Soul Silver (as in, an entire near-complete National Pokedex) and trade them so that I can fill up the Black/White Pokedex AND keep my Pokemon on SoulSilver to play on Gen IV games, or whether to just trade the lot over to B/W and forget SS.

    Either way, it'll take a bit of time :)
     
    I might clone all my sexy beloved pokemon from Diamond and HG and Platinum. I have so many loved pokemon in those games and I do not wish to take them out of the game (that is why I will clone them! Pokemon Cruelty!)

    Some of those being Flosslass, Shiny Jynx, Empoleon, Roserade, Staraptor, Mamoswine, Gengar and legends.
     
    I will try not bring my Pokémon over. I want B/W to be completely separate from D/P/Pt, but I may trade if my 4th Gen games start to mess up, or if I can't get Pokémon from pre 5th Gen on B/W (which could very well be the case...)
     
    I will transfer many of my favourite pokemon,i don't see any problem with it,because i don't want to "start fresh". Why? There's no reason i should.
     
    I'll probably trade over my Empoleon, Salamence, Infernape, Gengar, Togekiss, Magmortar and I think that's pretty much it.
     
    Im with the fresh start idea too. I will even try and keep my evd pokemon on Platinum. for two reasons one i want a fresh start two i dont wanna get losses on my record for black :P. Unless I have to i wont trade any pokes :D
     
    I'm not transfering either. I'll catch what I need in Black and White and work my way up from there.

    I do want to point out that Transfer Machine will not allow Items or HMs on Pokemon.

    Also the Pokeshifter for the non-event Pokemon won't be attainable until the main game is completed. Only the Shiny Beasts and Celebi from the movie events can be sent over early and without the Pokeshifter I believe.

    So there are restrictions on what we can send.
     
    Since I'm going to wait for the US version, I have a long time to wait, so I'm breeding all of my Platinum version, and catching all of my favorites to transfer over.
     
    Nooone. Clean start for me. :D;

    Don't really want any of my old Pokemon in these games - plus trading is so time-consuming.
