Johto's New League [PG-15]

Name: Seirei Mizuki

Appearance: Standing at a regular height of 5'5'' and weighing only 102 lbs, Seirei considers herself to be quite....Average. She is not too tall, but skinny enough to be satisfied. An overall view of her body would show her to be quite athletic - taut muscles just barely seen on her muscles, and even a six pack where her abdominal muscles lie. Seirei, however, often refers to herself as "lanky, if not a bit lazy." Her skin is very lightly tanned, closer to white if anything else. Upon most of her body, usually only seen when up close to her, are slight scars from her multiple adventures outdoors. One scar in particular, a large crescent shape around her navel - which goes all the way from an inch below her navel then curves up to stop three inches above - was caused by a furious Zubat. Despite it, however, Seirei thinks of it as only a sign of her formerly ignorant ways. According to her parents, Seirei's eyes are "very unnatural. Most of our family has brown or hazel eyes, but her? Her eyes are a dull blue...So dark, yet...Bright? Shiny? No....Her eyes look almost like liquid mercury if there isn't enough light." A dull blue more often seen as silver, for simpler terms.

Seirei's clothing, or the one most often worn, is pretty average in itself. Her upper body is usually covered in a light blue tank top which is hidden slightly by the light brown zip-up hoodie. Around her neck is a small locket in the shape of a Pokeball, which holds a picture of her brother. Around her right wrist is a small charm bracelet covered in even smaller figures in the shape of her favorite Pokemon such as Furret, Ursaring, Ninetales, Ledian, Ampharos, and even Eevee. Her pants consist of a simple pair of light blue jeans, a small hole on the left knee. Her belt is a dark brown, almost black, that has several holds for Pokeballs - most of which are filled with empty Pokeballs. Seirei's shoes are regular brown tennis shoes with sharp blue streaks along the sides with light blue shoe laces as well. Other than a large brown and blue backpack holding almost all of her necessary items, that is all Seirei has.
Personality: If you were to meet Seirei off the bat, most would see her as a silent - if not cold and anti-social person without a care for the others around her. When she would speak, people would often describe Seirei as "blunt, uncaring, and really arrogant. She's a jerk.'' Of course, this is said only by those who don't actually know her. If you stood around Seirei long enough, you would be happy to learn that she is actually very kind, but just quite.....Unsure of how to show it. Call her shy, you can even call her uneducated - or lacking - in people skills. Getting her to show emotion when you've only met her is a hard thing, unless Seirei is interested in you as a friend. If so, the chance of her showing emotion is much higher....Though much more awkward. When she smiles, Seirei will usually think that it was the wrong time - or perhaps that her smile looked strange, and often times will blush in embarrassment.

If you really, truly, get to know Seirei Mizuki, you would reveal her to be a greatly misunderstood person. When with true friends, Seirei is open, stubborn, strong-willed, and continuously blunt. It is only towards family that Seirei will ever sugarcoat things, and even then she will avoid it in most situations. Due to her upbringing, Seirei is what most may call a 'Pokemon Professor-In-Training', as her parents were former field scientists for Professor Acacia until she turned five. As such, she has a rather extensive knowledge of Pokemon, but only uses it when deemed necessary. Call her lacking in common sense, if you will. A dumb genius.
History: Born to Haruka and Hirohito Mizuki in New Bark Town, Johto, Seirei Mizuki grew up as a tentative - but eager minded young girl. Her parents often brought her around all of Johto in their travels, as long as they had the money to afford it - which was rarely a problem. Along the way the young child was introduced to many types of Pokemon, namely the type that her parents were sent out to study, which was the Normal Type. As she grew older and older, Seirei had done many things in her short life from sneaking up on a hibernating group of Ursaring and their young Teddiursa, watching several Dunsparce hatch from their eggs in a pond, to even sleeping on the belly of a Snorlax as it slumbered while her parents studied Kangaskhan a hundred meters away. But though she grew up learning more and more and becoming quite an adventurous, Seirei had yet to spend enough time with other children her age, which would eventually result in a lack of 'people skills'. By the year she turned eight, the Mizuki child had so little experience with other children that the sight of one was as strange to her as a wild Pokemon was to captivity. Because of this, her parents opted to place her in a Trainer's School in Goldenrod City, keeping her far away from the war and the bombing on the western border as they continued their travels without her.

But, as unfortunate as it seemed, Seirei could get along with no one. Though she wanted to become friends with as many people as possible, her lack in both people skills and common sense led her to become rather reclusive, a trait that had not entirely disappeared by the time she had returned to her parents at the age of ten. Her parents, however, seemed unaware of this as they traveled further and further into Johto once again. A year later, when Seirei had turned eleven, she and her parents had become separated within a cave. Her cries for help only resulted in an attack from a Zubat, which she was unable to fight against without any Pokemon. After a while, the Zubat seemed to calm down, but only after it had unleashed a Razor Wind attack against her, cutting her abdominal area without mercy. Seirei's parents found her several hours later, bandaging the wound up with ease before returning to New Bark Town to let their daughter recover.

Seirei discovering a fear of Pokemon after this, however, was something Haruka and Hirohito were not expecting. The newly formed scar on her navel was a reminder to her that Pokemon - no matter how cute they may seem at times - could hurt you. Her fear was devastatingly intrusive on her natural behavior, harsh enough to the point where Seirei wouldn't even go outside; she feared that any small bug Pokemon could be near.

By the age of fourteen, her parents had tried everything. They tried bringing her with them on trips, which she had vehemently refused. They tried bringing Pokemon home to her, though it only caused Seirei to lock herself in her room. But still, the shock trauma seemed to work....A bit. Seirei would go with her parents on their trips once again, though she never approached the Pokemon they faced. Yet Haruka and Hirohito were happy. Their daughter was beginning to relax. The day she began to love Pokemon was during a rather ironic moment: Seirei had become separated from her parents in a cave. But instead of screaming for help, she merely sat down on the cold stony floor and waited, crying silently. A small group of Whismur and Loudred, led by a proud Exploud had walked by on accident, scaring Seirei to the point where she cried out when a young Whismur came to close. Her cry sent most of the Whismur into crying fits of her own, angering the Exploud. Afraid that she would be attacked again, Seirei had tried crawling away, but was surprised when the normally loud Pokemon let out a soft melody. It didn't seem to want to hurt her as it hummed to the Whismur, whose cried quickly quieted down to yawns. Seirei's own yawn followed shortly after.

By the time Seirei's parents had found her, two things surprised them: One, that she was not alone. And two...That she was sleeping with the Whismur, some of which had crawled onto her for warmth. The Exploud stood off to the side, watching Seirei's parents carefully as they examined the Pokemon until their daughter awakened. When she did, the trio returned to New Bark Town after giving their thanks to the Exploud and its group, Seirei having felt much better.

Of course, she still does hold a few fears towards Pokemon - that could not be helped - but Seirei did manage to open up once more, though her former fear of Pokemon resulted in her awkward behavior. So when she had been chosen to start her own Pokemon Journey, her parents were elated at first, though they still held some suspicions. Nonetheless, the two gave their blessings as their daughter began to prepare for her journey.
Starter: Electrike

I woke up to the sun lightly shining on my face. I slowly opened my eyes half-way. Another glorious start to another glorious day. I got out of my bed, stretched a bit. I walked over to the curtains and pulled them both wide open. The golden sun shining onto my face. If mornings start better than this I don't want to know.

You have been selected to represent humanity. You have one day to prepare all that you wish to bring.​

My eyes widened in shock. I turned around to see if anyone was behind me. No, I was still alone. How the heck is someone speaking to me in my head?

For the next year, you will prove yourself... Failure to do so, will result in the extinction of the human race, and all those you love.

"What?" I said in shock," I have one year to stop the total genocide of the human race?"

Be warned, this journey will not be easy, and if you are to persevere with the challenges ahead, you will be cause to my appearance, do well and humanity survives.​

I'm assuming I don't have any say in this.

There are so many questions I could ask. Why is there a voice in my head? Why is it talking? Why is it the Harbinger? How does it know when the apocalypse is coming? Why is it talking to me? How is it talking to me? Why did it pick me to save the universe?

All these questions might not get answered, but considering I don't wont all humans wiped off the face of the Earth, maybe I should start packing. If it weren't a voice in my head, I wouldn't have believed it.

An event Flora doesn't remember too well was her father leaving their family. Even as a young child, Flora knew her parents weren't part of the happy family she had known little of. It was something that, previous questions had answered, Flora was unable to control. Flora has only seen her father a couple of times since that year. ​

Her early teenage years held part time jobs at the local bakery, study and more dreaming and wishing that she coud leave on a journey. When the time finally arrived, and from a person she'd heard little about, she hesitantly accepted the challenge, urged on my her mother. Her mother really hoped a journey like this would help Lizzie grow and learn as a person.

Name: Alex Hapinson

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Appearance: Alex's entire appearance can be summed up in one word: Awkward.

His stance is the first noticeable thing, a slouch that puts him at the level of the rest of the world, hiding his true height. Because he's finished physically growing up, but hasn't built any muscle yet, he's lanky, almost to the point of bony, made more prominent by ill-fitting shirt and pants. His jeans are far too long, and have to be rolled up three times in order to get to his ankles, which are bare as he does not wear socks or shoes. These pants are held up only be a belt, which loops around his thin waist once and a half before the belt stick out of his side. His shirt is a tye-dye that has been cut so that it is less of a dress and more of a shirt, although there's still a lot of room in it. For a tye-dye, is has been faded until it no longer is colourful, appears as only a fade of shades.

His only other accessories are watches, of which he has three; one with a silver band and engraved roman numerals for numbers that no longer functions, and is always set to 3:17, a crappy dollar store watch that has Kanto's time; it has a Jigglypuff on the face. The last one is also cheap, but it's alright, made of fake metal with a fake leather strap. It has Hoenn's time on it. His face is relatively nondescript, being a tanned Caucasian with amber eyes and shaggy, unkempt brown hair that falls haphazardly around his face, although it doesn't reach his neck. His expression is one typically a blank one, and combined with his slouch, gives him a permanent, estranged look, as if he just woke up.

Personality: Alex's most predominant personality feature is laziness, followed by selfishness. Typically he won't wake up until 2 in the afternoon, but still goes to bed ridiculously early. Because of this, he suffers from getting too much sleep, and always feels drowsy. To him, actual work is a pain in the ass, and even regular activity is rough. His motto is "work smarter, not harder" but anyone who knows him knows this is patently false; he'd rather not work at all.

There are only two ways to cause actual motivations: A challenge, such as a game or puzzle, or coffee. A single cup of coffee wires him for hours, making him crazy and energetic, on par with the average person drinking three cans of redbull. A game, on the other hand, appeals to a sense of value, and he considers himself good at many games, from board games to video games. As long as the games require very little to no physical exertion, he's there. He also loves the outdoors, as it's more peaceful than a town. If he could overcome his laziness, he could probably grow up to be a good trainer, having the strategic mind to battle skillfully, and understanding the limits of pokemon and people.

History: Alex had a pretty average life growing up in Azalea Town. He had a dad who was always at work, a home inspector who typically traveled to other towns, and a mother who stayed home and made sure the house was running. She was always busy, having Alex and two other children, twin girls. Because Alex was the oldest, he was often called upon to help out, especially with his father so rarely around. He quickly began to resent having to do chores and work instead of playing with his friends, or even relaxing. This was his life up until he was 13.

One night, a few weeks after his thirteenth birthday, he was awoken by his mother, screaming. He crept downstairs to see his mother yelling and crying at his father, who was standing, looking both tired and annoyed. Not being very sneaky, his mother immediately noticed him and sent him back to bed. He never learned the exact truth as to what happened, but over the next month his life was drastically changed; his mother and father were in court, and soon enough his mother was taking his twin sisters to somewhere in Hoenn, and he was staying with his father. He didn't really get it, but he understood it was the end of having to do constant work. She left, giving him a kiss and a cell phone number so that he could contact her at any time. Yeah right, he thought. Still, he noted the time they left in the afternoon, and wrote it down, feeling it might be important.

Yet a few months later, he did with regularity. Alex and his dad still lived together, but his dad was at home even less often than usual. To take care of his son, he gave him a credit card which would always have money for him to buy food. With no parent around though, there was no discipline. Alex stopped going to school, or even get up before noon. He lost friends, not bothering to maintain the relationships with them. He stayed up as late as he liked, playing video games. He never did anything. And he never had anyone to talk to, and any problem he couldn't fix became an insurmountable obstacle. Eventually he stopped trying, letting his house fall into disrepair. His father stopped coming around. His only source of support was his Mother, whom could do nothing but send her love and advice, which while valuable as they were to him, could not help him repair the T.V. Or the plumbing.


By the time he had turned fifteen, he was done with this house, and with his father, he just needed a way out. And when he won a chance to go out and adventure, with the ability to survive on his own, then even though it meant work, it meant escaping the desolate, miserable state of affairs he lived in. He had no hesitation, and left Azalea, in his mind forever, leaving his father's gift, the credit card, behind as an explanation. All he took with him was what little he found lying around that could be sold for money, the clothes on his back, and three watches. One for his time, one for his Mothers, and one to remember the day he was left alone.

Starter: Combee (named Buzz Buzz, after an old video game he played)

Notes about Buzz Buzz: She's really energetic and eager, which is both useful as motivation, and a pain in the ass. Alex leaves her out or keeps her in the pokeball as she wants. Buzz Buzz also likes to battle, and is competitive, a nature which Alex can get behind.
