    Six Shooter Challenge

    I decide to create a challenge that was difficult, but not in a way that limited the fun of it, so I came up with The Six Shooter Challenge.
    Please P.M. With entry and progress
    ​

    • · Must catch the first Pokémon encountered once you have pokeballs, no exceptions. This is your new starter. (And no codes to avoid encounters.)
    • · Once you've caught your first you must release your real starter.
    • · After you receive your first 5 pokeballs, buy 1 more (For your new starter), after that you can't buy any more. Ever. That means you can go for 5 weaker Pokémon, or risk more of them and gamble on better ones. (I may submit slightly hacked games to keep anyone from cheating. E.G. Pokeballs aren't in any shops or are $999,999.)
    • · Shiny? Use your pokeballs at your own risk.
    • · Like a few other challenges, Pokémon Centers aren't free after the first use. Go to a mart and buy $3,000 worth of items, then toss those items before you use them.
    • · Gift Pokémon are off limits, unless you toss one of your pokeballs when you receive it.
    • ·Safari Zone

    • · You can trade, but only before the 3rd gym and you have to toss a pokeball for each one to do it.
    • · You can have legendary Pokémon if you can catch them.
    • · Challenge is over when you've beaten the Champion/Red/Steven



    There are no differences for Ultimate Level of this Challenge

    Just wanna post and say that progress shouldn't be PMed to you, nor should entries really. I'd like to keep it in the thread, otherwise if entries and updates are PMed to you, this thread will just rot and no one will see it. Plus if there are no posts in this thread, people will think it's unpopular and not be encouraged to try it.
     
    I have a quick question. What happens if we find Pokeballs in the field (for instance, the great balls that the Devon employee gives you for helping him in the woods). Are we allowed to use these, and if not, since we have a Great Ball now, which is better than a Pokeball, can we toss a Pokeball and keep the Great Ball?
     
    That's a good point, entries should be posted here along with progress... probably should've thought that one through

    And I think what I'm gonna do is have 2 levels to this challenge, one where you can use the pokeballs you receive and find and one where you only get the five. As for upgrading to the next ball when you get the chance, you can move on to great balls, but not any higher.

    After my first part of the challenge, I caught a wurmple as my starter, accidentally killed the first one with a crit so I caught another Wurmple, I hope thats okay?

    Caught a Poochyena and a Ralts, wasnt planning on getting a Ralts. But it was right there and i couldnt resist.
    And helped wally out.

    I'll do a journal, and youtube vids. But the youtube vids only of key parts, like defeating a gym and catching a pokemon etc.

    Trained my party all up to Lv. 15 before taking on Roxanne, alot of sand attack spamming did the trick.
    Defeated team aqua and got peeko back.
    Delivered Stevens letter and caught Makuhitta and Aron along the way,
    Got exp. share and went and caught a Lv. 10 Magikarp in Petalburg City
    Trained everyone to the late teen levels an defeated Brawly.
