The Cryptex ( A Pokemon Adventure) PG-17

Here we go, first RP:



All is supposedly peaceful in the Indigo Plateau, the area that is comprised of the regions of Kanto and Johto. No more are the days of Team Rocket attempting to steal the Pokémon of others, in other words, the Indigo Plateau is at peace. But peace can never last forever.A rumor has emerged of a cryptex that holds the secret to the beginning of the Universe and the creation of life. This cryptex is believed to reside in the Indigo Plateau. The search for this fabled relic has swept the people of the Indigo Plateau.
Some of course, want to use this cryptex for their selfish desires. These people are commonly known as Team Arcelago. Team Arcelago is determined to find this cryptex and solve its password before anyone else. They will stop at no lengths to capture the cryptex. Team Arcelago aren't the only ones searching for this mysterious artifact. Lots of townsfolk and Trainers are searching for this cryptex as well. Many Civilians have shown they will do anything to obtain the secret of the Universe, including stealing,lying,betraying and even killing to obtain this magnificent prize. There are also some attempting to protect the secret. These "protectors" known as The Keepers of the Crypt. Rumour has it that the Keepers know the Location and password of the Cryptex. Many members of the group have been Interrogated for their knowledge, all of them dying to protect the secret. The one thing everyone forgets about, should we know the secret? Or should it be kept for another eternity?




You are either a Trainer venturing out into the Indigo Plateau looking for the cryptex or the mischievous, plotting Team Arcelago travelling to every extent to find and solve the magnificent cryptex. Your actions decide the fate of this sacred artifact. If you have a excellent SU, I will let you be in the Keepers of the Crypt. Otherwise, I will control the Keepers of the Crypt.

You could join as a Commander or even the Leader but you gotta have a very good SU.

Personality: Scarlet is a Narcissistic leader. This means she is driven by unyeilding arrogance, self absorbtion and a personal egotistic need for power and admiration.
Scarlet is beutiful beyond measureability and she wont let anyone forget it, if she so much as hears word of people who have made 'innapropriate' remarks about her image she deals a swift and harsh punishment (generally death).
Due to her state of mind scarlet pursues power at all costs and wont let anything get in her way of achieving it. She is a control freak and believes that the only way to maintain control is to have COMPLETE control.
She doesn't think twice about devaluing or exploiting others and shows very minimal, usually no, remorse for her actions.
She rarely appears in public as shes beleives that only those who are truly 'worthy' deserve to see her beuty, as such the only people who have face to face contact with her are her commanders. Scarlet will only go into public if an issue desperately needs her immediate attention, this only occurs when her plans are going awry and if your the one making them go awry then be prepared for her full wrath.
Scarlet can only be kept somewhat happy by being constantly complemented about her beuty and stature, and she is generally 'nice' to those who do so.
History: As a child Scarlet was always the inferior sibling when it came to the view her parents had of her and her sister Sabrina, yes the leader of the Saffron gym.
Scarlet could never seem to live up to their expectations which created a gap between her 'ideal' self, the person her parents wanted her to be, and her 'real' self. This led to the development of Scarlets Narcissism. She began exaggerating her achievements in life and putting down anyone she perceived as a threat. This usually meant she was constantly fighting with her sister.
On Sabrinas 16th birthday she became the leader of the Saffron gym and this was the last straw for Scarlet, having all but been forgotten by her parents she fled home. She quickly found a way to surround herself with people who consistently commented on her astounding beuty and became their self proclaimed leader, but this was never enough. Scarlet wanted more, more beuty, more praise, and most of all more CONTROL so she started thinking of ways to achieve this.
She began her own business, specialising in beuty consultancy and created a band loyal followers but this still wasn't enough enough, so she shut down the business and continued her search for absolute power. Then one day she caught wind of an all but forgotten relic called the cryptex, an item that seemingly held the secret to the creation of the Universe and Life. If she could get her hands on this she would be able to create the Universe anew and the WHOLE world would bow to her might and call her their leader. It was the perfect plan. But first she decided she would need help and so she set out find the perfect candidates to help her bid to control the universe and the rise of Team Arcelago.

Personality: Susanoo has a superiority complex. He believes that he is superior to others and can even surpass his leader. He looks down on humanity and deems himself above humanity. The only person he actually cares for is his sister. He shows loyalty to his superiors just to use them as a stepping stone for his own agenda.

History: Susanoo Abaddon was orphaned with his twin sister Amaterasu as toddlers. With nowhere to go, they were treated badly in the ever-changing world. They eventually joined Team Rocket when they became old enough but months after the team was disbanded months after they joined thanks to "Some kid".

Susanoo was devastated as he lost what he believed to be his home. He and his sister joined the Rocket holdouts in Sevii and plotted with other Rocket members to bring Team Rocket back but as events in Johto unfolded, Team Rocket was defeated again by a different boy.

Losing everything again, Susanoo concluded that humanity is incompetent so he and Amaterasu joined Team Arcelago as he heard that the team was looking for the Cryptex. Susanoo thought that he can use the Cryptex for his ideals and he won't hesitate to stain his hands in blood to get it.

Name: Jackson McMahon

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Team: N/A

Personality: Cynical, sarcastic and pessimistic are often overused when it comes to describing Jackson, but his jaded outlook on life seeps through every pore of his body, even affecting his mannerisms and speech pattern. He gains amusement in spiting people; defying their expectations and deviating from the norm satisfy him more than making friends, which is difficult enough given his acidic tongue. With this said, he is very lonely and craves friendship, despite seeming the opposite and having Pokémon with him. A lack of a proper social life growing up means that he doesn't really know how to make human friends.

Jackson is fiercely independent, used to doing things for himself and feeling ashamed to ask for help. He is aware of his physical weaknesses and fragility, but would rather struggle than have another person aid him. The only people he shows any warmth towards are his mother and grandmother - not that many have seen this. His Pokémon, however, are not mistreated. All three are used to his slightly unorthodox ways of showing affection, even if they are not fawned over like others.

Because of his past, Jackson has a wealth of knowledge concerning cookery, sewing and first aid. If one of his team becomes ill or sustains an injury, he is quick to restore them to full health. He believes worrying about things is pointless; he is practical in nature and remains calm in difficult situations.

History: Jackson's parents, habitants of Goldenrod City, left for Mrs. McMahon's hometown of Cianwood upon her contracting a severe illness which could not be cured by conventional methods. Their son was conceived and born a short time after, but Jackson's mother remained sickly and bedridden. His father, a trainer at Chuck's gym, was unable to cope with her care and threw himself into his work; she and Jackson were taken in by her mother when the relationship dissolved.

Despite his responsibilities, Jackson was a content child and received enough love and affection from his grandmother and her elderly Houndour. There were some issues regarding his health, such as the diagnosis of asthma when he was seven and anemia the following spring. Again, he was content with his life, even if his encounters with his father were reduced to rare glimpses. Jackson never questioned the lack of interest the man had in him, yet gossipping neighbours set his curiosity aflame just after his fourteenth birthday; he ventured to the gym with his Krabby in order to visit his father. The meeting did not go well, with Jackson's father objecting to the 'effeminate' ways of his son (having expected him to follow in his footsteps).

A few bruises later, Jackson returned home. He lied to his mother and grandmother by saying he was involved in a tussle down at the beach, not wanting to worry them or cause further trouble. The lie was made redundant when, the following night, his father all but broke the door down in a drunken stupor, claiming that he would 'fix' Jackson. More violence ensued, with Jackson's grandmother becoming the casualty.

The neighbours alerted, Jackson's father was swiftly taken away to sober up by his fellow 'blackbelts' (Cianwood not having a standard police system, being relatively secluded and typically crime-free). Jackson bore the guilt, especially when it was revealed that his grandmother would be unable to walk properly again. Because of this, Jackson and his family were forced to move across the sea to Olivine in order for his mother and grandmother to receive the care they required, though such services weren't free. Jackson learned that his father was paying for the hospital and swore that he would earn enough money for them to become completely independent from him; his newfound freedom allowed him to become a Pokémon trainer. All money he can spare is put into a bank account that he one day hopes to use for his family.

Name: Reed Luniro

Gender: Male

Appearance: (Can't find a picture along the lines of what I'm thinking, so allow me to regale you with a description.)

Reed has white hair with some gray-ish tufts scattered all over. At times, he might dye it red, but not very often, as it makes him stick out too much. He has ice-blue eyes, and often has a silly little grin plastered on his face. There's a scar or two from numerous fights that he had in school. His face is kind of narrow, and has prominent cheekbones. Reed is also built lean, and has some evidence of exercising a lot. He's skinny, but can always put away a lot of food when given the opportunity.
As for what he wears, Reed is often seen wearing goggles around his neck (He does put them on sometimes, but it's more of a habit from the winters he lived in), the lens tinted blue with black rimming. It's sometimes hidden by a dark red scarf thrown around his neck. On the outside, he wears a black jacket with white jagged lines and a random t-shirt depending on the day it is pulled on underneath. The t-shirts can range from anything about chess, to even ponies. It just depends on the day it is. Reed also wears a pair of brown gloves that are fingerless, and bandages wrapped around his lower right arm from an accident that happened with some trees. Because of the weather, Reed is seen a lot in navy blue knee-length shorts and hiking boots. Additionally, he has a backpack that's slung over his shoulders with most of whatever he's carrying in it, including a notebook, a phone, and also his Pokemon.

Hometown: Ercuteak City

Team: None

Personality: Reed is a rather energetic person, with a lot of motivation to try new things, no matter what others think. He has a lot of kindness to other people and Pokemon, even if they have done bad things. Reed is the kind of person to easily forgive others for what they've done, but he has been known to hold grudges against people that have done something terrible to him. Occasionally, he does have mood swings when he doesn't seem like himself, and often lash out in anger at others. These moments are far and few in between, however, but Reed does fear those moments at times. He's quite honorable and will be honest most of the time, unless it's to hide something important from someone.

History: Reed has lived in Snowpoint City in the Sinnoh region up til he was around 7 years old. Due to his dad's job, the Luniro family picked up and moved to the Johto region, and Reed was forced to leave behind his friends, and his love for skiing. Up to this point, Reed ran a transportation route between Ecruteak City and Blackthorn for a hobby, and carried Pokemon to protect him from thieves and the like. When he heard about the Cryptex, his best friend convinced him to go along on the search. But just a day before they set off, the friend had an accident, and fell into a coma. Because of that, Reed has sworn to see what they planned to do finish, no matter what happened.

Name: Gray "Baron" Ciridian

Gender: Male

I can give a picture for appearance if completely necessary.

Appearance: Fortunately, Gray has been blessed with sharp features that flow well with his looks.
Gray stands around five feet, 10 inches. He has spiky, red hair that gives him an extra inch or two of height. The red hair sticks up naturally, giving him a sort of 'wind-blown' look. Only a few strands of hair fall forward onto his forehead. The sharp hair complements his sharply-angled eyes, a trait that a lot of Hoenn natives share. His irises are clear and dark-colored, giving his eyes an overall mysterious tone that hides his emotions quite well. He has a somewhat-small mouth, which matches his self-reserved personality. His head is shaped off with a (you guessed it) sharp chin and stout neck.

Gray wears an open, dark brown leather jacket over a plain white tee shirt. The jacket is a bit short on him, revealing the bottom of his shirt to be tucked into a belt that holds up his jeans. The jeans aren't exactly baggy, but not tight; in fact, they are just right on Gray. His shoes are a similar color to that of his leather jacket. Gray also wears black fingerless gloves on each hand.

Overall, Gray is in great shape due to living on a tropical island for most of his life. His sleek, defined shape makes this very evident.

Hometown: Stations himself in Azalea Town.

Team: Team Arcelago

Personality: When around those he doesn't know, Gray is very self-reserved, saying no more than what is necessary. He has a very dry sense of humor, often saying a smart remark that could possibly get someone enraged, but usually only makes his foes angry (sometimes his friends and/or allies on accident). Despite his seemingly-cool nature, he is surprisingly naive. Gray is a very spontaneous individual, and very righteous. He will not hesitate to change his plans, or even put himself in danger, in order to help an ally. However, his spontaneity often throws others for a loop. Gray is known to appear at the oddest times, which some might consider very unreliable. Gray also adopts his own techniques depending on the situation, which goes well with his impulsive nature. His ideal is to change the situation to better suit himself and put any foe into a situation that they have never dealt with. In short, Gray plays mind tricks, but it's usually unintentional.

History: Since he was born, Gray has always attracted more attention than he ever wanted. In fact, while he was living on the peaceful island of Mossdeep, Hoenn with his Pokemon Ralts, his battle skills were acknowledged by the Gym Leaders, Tate and Liza. He eventually came to surpass their skills, and began wandering the Hoenn region. At the time, he had a full team of highly-trained Pokemon with him. Soon, he entered the league, and placed fairly well (while not winning). After a few years, he discovered that there were hardly any trainers that could stand up to him, so he traveled to Kanto, where he heard rumors of powerful trainers. It was true; his win ration decreased to nearly 1:2. However, he enjoyed the strength that he was gaining. He didn't regret it at all.

Naturally, he wandered into the Johto region, where he heard of a team called Arcelago. Being some time after the events of the renowned evil teams, Gray joined. It didn't take long for Gray to discover the evil intentions of this team. Now he doesn't know what he got himself into, and questions his own motives. It will only take time for him to truly discover what he wants to do.

Personality: I'm a feisty one. I don't take anything from anyone. If someone says something that turns me the wrong way, I'll snap, especially if it's about Zoë or my father. I'm also a born leader and put myself behind everyone else.

History: The cryptex has played a role in my entire life. My father was a keeper of the cryptex since he was a young boy. But he was interrogated when I was six years old. He wouldn't give up the secret, so he was murdered. My mother had died in child birth, meaning I was placed in an orphanage.

Once in the orphanage, I met a girl named Zoë, who became the love of my life. We were never seen apart and spent all our time together. She never knew I had feelings for her, until I was eleven. We began dating after that.

But on one cold rainy day, Team Arcelago stormed the orphanage and demanded to find me. I told them who I was but didn't do anything to me, but instead grabbed Zoë from my arms and took off with her. The last words she spoke to me were "If I never see you again, I love you." I responded with "You will, and I love you too."

I didn't know how to get her back, until I figured out what to do. I had remembered the cryptex that my dad defended before he died. I was determined to find it so hopefully I could free Zoë and bring vengeance to my father.

May I also take a spot for trainer? However, I'm just coming up with my SU as I type(improvising;I literally come up with stuff as I go), so please bear with me, if that is possible. Ah, and one more thing: unfortunately, I cannot provide an image, but I will to my best to provide a well-written description.

Name(Last, First formatting): Yamasaki, Hanako
Gender: Female
Age: Currently unknown; appears to be around 17-18
Team: None
Appearance: She wears a black wolf mask at all times for an unknown reason, leaving many to infer what her face actually looks like, and making her facial expression unknown as well. She has....let's say medium-long hair, that is slightly darker than that of the color beige, which is not tied up in any way. She is usually seen in a black coat with a white scarf, even in the summer, though during specific festivals, can be seen in a yukata, regardless of the season, which depending on which festival, also varies in color. She stands at 6 ft. tall.
The mask, as said earlier, is supposedly a black wolf mask, but rather appears more like that of a fox rather than that of a wolf, and seems similar in physical appearance to a ninetails, except with separate colors. She also carries a japanese-style paintbrush, and an ink bottles.

Personality: Hanako is rather silent, and does not speak often unless it is absolutely necessary. She is usually extremely calm, and often times, does not reveal her emotions, even in major tragedies or in the most dire situations. Whenever something seems suspicious or interesting, however, Hanako does not hesitate to investigate the matter. Quite oddly, she only helps others in situations that seems completely bleak. She also enjoys art occasionally, which explains her possession of a brush and a bottle of ink.

Current Living Quarters: Ecruteak City

History: Hanako is an entity of unknown origin, though she began examining art of legendary pokemon in ancient ruins and museums around the pokemon world before reaching the Johto region, where she heard about the Cryptex, which caught her interest. This, in a way, detered her from art for a while, and she began studies on the strange artifact prior to finding out about Team [I forgot the name of the team so insert team name here]. She didn't see the team as a big threat, and simply considered them some "strange group of people not to be regarded much". A month later, she began preparing to leave Ecruteak with three pokemon eggs the daycare had found with her previous pokemon, and left her older pokemon with professor Oak the take care of. The only reason she seeks the Cryptex is to examine it and study its properties(height, weight, hardness, age, etc.), as its properties seem almost otherworldly from some images she found.

As of now, she is currently about to set off, and not only is it some kind of exploration, but it's also somewhat of a survival test, as she had brought minimal supplies intentionally. Because her pokemon are hatched from eggs, they are all level 1 with egg moves.

Espire is a very quiet, reserved person. Few people have ever heard him talk, and those who have, didn't hear a lot.
He is very sneaky and can slip under the radar like he has for the past four years. Espire is always very calm and never lets
the select emotions he has get to him. Espire doesn't seem to care about anything or anyone except for keeping the
cryptex as much of a secret as possible. He has a cold,calm and collective demeanor which he exhibits in all situations.

History: Espire was born in Pewter City, Kanto. He was a general loner through his childhood, taking an interest in the Museum
in Pewter City. After finishing High school, Espire went into the field of archeology. Espire spent the next eight years digging all over the Indigo Plateau for rare artifacts. Then, while digging in (Secret Location) he was confronted by a Man in his late eighties. The Man said, "Some things are best left untouched, I pass this secret to you, and you will guard it with your life," Espire agreed and learned the secrets of the cryptex. Since then, he has worked to keep the cryptex safe.

Personality:
Malovent. Is there any other way to describe Flo? Vicious, maligant, internecine, whatever you use it's still won't help describe Flo. She has a burning desire to destroy and manipulate anything in her way. Even her own Team Arcelago (TA) Grunts. "Team" Flo doesn't know the meaning of the word her views are selfish. This Crypt is her way to power and there isn't a Trainer or TA Commander that will get in her way. For now she may just be a Grunt but Flo knows they will learn. Just ask her "partners" or Pokemon who all have very visible scars. Flo taught-demanded respect and at first they weren't willing to bend to her commands but they were brought to their senses. Flo thinks of herself as a Queen and her "partners" willing serve her. She is very well-spoken and can talk her way into getting whatever she likes.

History:
Florence Reawood was born in Cerulean City where she spent most of her life admiring the Cerulean Sisters with awe. Wishing that she and her siblings could be like them one day. In fact, Flo decided that's exactly what she would do with her life become a Gym Leader. Unfortunately, Flo's plans didn't go according to plan this was expected by Flo. Her siblings both got sick and could not travel Johto with her. Miserable, Flo decided that she would go alone. Arriving in Johto was no easy task she had to trick a sailor into letting her on boat. The first of many mischievous acts on her part and while on the boat she met up with some kid from "Team Arcelago". This set the stage for the rest of her life. This "kid" (She never did find out who this person was.) told her stories about a mysterious Crypt and all the perils around it. Flo joined and this is where her evil streak truly began her entire personality changed.

Flo pretended to enjoy her life in this "Team Arcelago" but in fact she hated it in the beginning. She felt her presence wasn't deserved and that she best moved on. Then, Team Arcelago finally began the search for The Crypt and Flo knew she had to acquire herself a team. Wondering into the nearest PokeCenter in the middle of the night a very Flo thing to do. She picked three random Pokeballs and stole them. Thus, having the team she has today. Flo did have to "train" (which in Florence's vocabulary is synonymous with torture or force) to accept her as their new Trainer. Cold-hearted is what each of them became and now they're as vicious as Flo which makes them her special, deadly weapons. Now, Flo is ready for the search.
