Earth and Sky: Pokemon Battle Royale!
Overview:
We all know there are the dozens of pokemon leagues with badges and contests to test their skill. However, after you reach the platue, defeat the elite 4 and get into the hall of fame, is that it? Does your career of training end? Out there in the world within this RP is another pokemon league, a much darker one that really isn't for the faint of heart.
Earth and Sky League
A completly underground pokemon tournament with only one rule, win. The battles can become truly brutal and only those with the will and strength are able to pull through. To those who are able to make it to the finals, may good fortune accompany you.Tournament Rules:
- Badge's:
Believe it or not, there is only 1 badge in this league. Just obtaining it is a daunting task. This leagues badge is actually split into pieces which fit together like a puzzle. In order to obtain badge pieces, you need to compete for them in a trainer battle for someone who actually has them. Both you and your opponent gamble the X amount of pieces and duke it out in however both trainers please. Trainers can battle, pit each other in contest, whatever the heart desires. The winner walks away with the losers pieces and life goes on. If a trainer loses all of his or her badge pieces, they are completely out of the league... Unless they steal a piece or two from another participating trainer. A fully assembled badge will give the location of the finals. - Joining the League:
There are league recruiters scattered EVERYWHERE throughout the world in every region! Problem? They are in hiding. In order to participate in the leagues activities, you have to battle one of the recruiters and earn your your first badge piece. When you receive the piece, the recruiters take a photo of the trainer and any I.D. information they can get from the participant at all. This way, they don't accidentally give any more pieces to trainers who have been knocked out of the tournament. The league is a yearly tournament that starts in spring and ends on the last day of fall before the winter kicks in. If you fail to reach the finals before then, you miss your chance to compete and have to start all over. The location of the finals change every year, making the badge useless if you can't obtain the pieces in time. - Prize:
1 wish. Anything the winning trainer deeply desires from the bottom of his or her heart.
Some trainers join the tournament to help their family or business while others are in this for the pure competition. - Cheating?:
Though it is possible to steal all of your pieces for your badge, you won't survive the final rounds of the league. The elite in this league are more powerful than you can imagine! They are creative in combat strategies and are able to plan 10 moves ahead of you, making them a force to be reckoned with. Merely surviving one of these four trainers is more of a blessing if that describes their fighting power, these trainers aren't even allowed to even enter tournaments or contests!!! The purpose of fighting for the badge pieces in this brutal tournament is to prepare for them. Stealing all your pieces and not growing from it? Your automatic Pika-chow, case closed. - Survive!:
Badge piece trainers are found out in the wilderness mostly; far away from the cities in uncharated territories and darker places without the help of pokemon centers or shops. To be frank, the first half of the contest is to survive out there with the wild Pokemon and learn to adapt while competing for the components to your badge. If your participating, you need to be more prepared than batman just to come back with pokemon and yourself alive. - Running away!:
If your team is in critical health, as well as yourself and you both need medical attention, RUN! You will not be dubbed as a coward from running away. You and your teams survival takes top priority when competing and as long as you have even one component or piece to the league badge, you are still free to return and collect what you need to move forward.
Be aware that there is no shame in running from a battle as long as your doing so to stay alive.
If you can't handle the league, you can sell your badge piece for a hefty profit to another competitor. - Welcome to Lethia!:
Though these battles CAN take part in any region you desire, a new region on a massive island known as the Lethia region is where the most concentrated badge battles are at! The island is large and has 3 divided environments, forest, desert and mountain. There is only one town with a Pokemon center and mart located at the edge of the forest near the docks, so pick where you have your battles carefully and stock up on ultra balls, great balls, super potions or better, because the shop here sells the basic medicines while the advance meds are with the vendors for the league in the region. So be ready if you want to head out there.
I would at least recommend everyone make their journey there. - Why?:
- -Are the battles held out there?: Its a brutal tournament that pokemon theives, among others, join in. In order to accomadate them, these battles are held far from the help of government officals and the proper authorities.
- -What if my pokemon get STOLEN?!: They are plainly get stolen until you get them back or if you can get assistance in tracking them down and getting them back. The rule is up in the air for this one.
- -Badge pieces, how many and where are the finals?: You need a total of 15 pieces to complete one badge, it is BEST to assemble MULTIPLE badges in order to re-enter the finals incase you lose a match or fall out.
- -Teams?: When fighting for badge pieces to compete in the finals, do what you want. Form alliances, teams, break them, divide them, whatever. The more the merrier and a better chance for survival. Just remember that your team can no longer exist when you reach the finals, since it will be treated as a tournament based contest from there on in.
- Can my pokemon team be evolved? how many can we have?:
You can have a total of 6 pokemon at a time and if you want evolved pokemon, I'll allow up 3-4 stage 2 evolution's and below on your team. (Examples of Stage 2 are Charmeleon, Quilava, Ivysaur, Wartortle) - Swapping Pokemon (NEW):
Aside form the 6 you have on hand, Ill allow you to have captured 1 more to have set aside in your PC. You need to capture the rest throughout the course of the RP. - Transfer Tag:
An item that will only exist in this RP. The transfer tag allows you to swap out Pokemon in your PC for any other you have on your team from anywhere in the world. Need your....say.... Pikachu for a water pokemon battle and all you got are your rock types, more over, your in the forest. Write on the tag the pokemon you want to take out, attach it to the pokeball containing the pokemon you want to trade out, -ZIP, FLASH!!!- The tele-port system used to send poke balls swaps the pokemon out. The tags ARE NOT CHEAP! they are extremely expensive and are only sold within the Earth and Sky league vendors. Also be aware these tags are one time only items, so buy multiples if you can and use them ONLY when you need to swap in between battles. - Earth and Sky Vendors:
For trainers who do not go prepared, there are vendors setup in the wilderness where the Badge Piece battles take place. The vendors are well guarded and armed to the teeth, so stealing from them is not an option. You can purchase pokeballs, potions, healing items, breeding items, and of course, swap pokemon, or buy transfer tags. Prices in the vendors market are sky high. (Example: 1 Pokeball cost: $200 in the mart. The vendors here sell them $800 a pop)
...Yea, want it cheaper? Buy your equipment at the mart. The only thing you can 't buy at these marts are the Transfer Tags. - Legendaries:
You can have 1 on your team and no more BUT 1. If anyone has had their profile posted with a team containing more than 1 legendary, DO NOT CHANGE IT! There is no need to after I approved it. I did not take into account about that, so fairs fair.
As The RP grows, I have taken notice that a lot of people are thinking that you sign-up in the topic itself.
Earth and Sky has their own OCC in the Roleplay Lounge.
If you've taken interest in the RP, a revised Rule and Setup list is found there.
