First and foremost, to the new members who are reading this, welcome aboard! Are you having trouble with PC right now? Feeling lost or confused? We understand PC is a large place and a new member like you can get confused and lost pretty easily. But no need to worry! Below you will find links to some of the most commonly asked about threads or areas here at the PokéCommunity as well as a list of helpful, useful, and sometimes important links for you to read, and stuff that you as a new member may be looking for. But keep in mind that each individual board has its own set of rules, regulations and guidelines so before you post in one of these boards, be certain that you've read and be aware of them yourself. :)
1. Official PokéCommunity Rules - It's really important for you to read and follow them! Moderators, as well as Higher Staff enforce them and are expecting you to know about it and be aware of it. You'll find rules to blogs, signatures, as well as infraction/warning information.
2. FAQ's - Got a question about the forums? Check in here to see if your question has been answered in the Frequently Asked Questions section. If you don't see your question answered there, you are more than welcome to make a thread in the Community Questions & Feedback or ask a staff member. No need to be shy about it, we don't bite! :3
3. The PokéCommunity IRC Chat (#pokecommunity) - Yep! The PokeCommunity has its very own IRC chatroom. If you're using a separate client other than the provided Java webclient, this thread can show you step-by-step on how to connect.
4. Donations - The PokeCommunity accepts monetary donations, and by doing so, you can gain a few perks, like italicized name, a blog, large PM space, and more!
5. Forum Leaders - If you need to contact a staff member of the forums, or simply know what color stands for, you can always check in here, and click the staff member you need to contact. Megan and I are also in there, so our information such as PM link and email are in there just in case.
6. Posting Locations/Quick Question & Answers Thread - Got something cool to post but don't know which section to post? Have a question about a specific forum feature? You can ask here. A staff member or regular member will point you to the right direction.
7. Signature Rules & Review - If you want to make sure your signature is within the limits after creating a new one or changing it, you can post here so that you will be certain that your signature isn't breaking any of the signature limits and if meets the requirements. A staff member reviews it.
8. Infraction System Information - You'll be able to learn how the infraction system works here (in other words how a member gets punished for breaking a rule) as well as find the list of infractions, how many points they're worth, and how long they last in here.
9. Leave or Absences Thread - If you're going to be away for a couple of days or a week or so, this is the place to announce that! Let everyone at PC know that you'll be away, so that way you can notify all of your friends instead of having to VM one by one. If you'll be gone for more than a month (30 days or more), you're entitled to a new thread at NU/W.
10. PC's Adoption Center - PC is a pretty large, confusing and intimidating place to be new in, so we've dedicated a project just for new users like you! You can learn more about it by visiting its very own thread!
11. Emblem Information - Emblems are one of the latest features here in PC, it's fun and really challenging to collect. If you want to know more about it or if you have any questions related to it such as how to get one, how many emblems are there, you can find it all here!
You can chat about anything here as long as you don't go off-topic, you can also make friends and just enjoy to the fullest! Below you can find the list of boards that has their own chit chat threads.
