Ok, this was originally going to be something along these lines "does anybody know what script causes the pause menu to be opened upon pressing x?" but i figured that I could actually ask what I want more directly.

In short, I am in the midst of editing the pause menu, and I want to ask which parts of the script I need to leave intact in order for something to be displayed (assuming I can reliably change what is displayed). IE what do I need to keep the same in order to essentially run a completely different script on pressing X (still a pause menu, but completely different, a script written from scratch by me). Thanks in advance for any help, I hope someone manages to understand what I'm asking

        $game_temp.menu_calling = true
        $game_temp.menu_beep = true
This activates the 'call_menu' method that starts the 'PokemonMenu_Scene'
