    OOC Thread

For thousands of years the world has had 18 peaceful kingdoms each representing the type of the Pokemon Gijinka living in them. The first and largest to inhabit the lands were the kingdoms of Grass and Ice, the smallest kingdoms of Poison and Ghost. Beyond the borders of the kingdoms of Fighting, Flying, Ground, Ice, and Electric lies a vast land that the citizens of all the kingdoms call the Unknown Lands. Unknown because no one has ever dared venture there. Whether it be through fear of the unknown or just not wishing to see what lies beyond the borders.

Finally though the leaders of each of the kingdoms have grown restless, tales have been spread across the lands of great treasure in the Unknown Lands, but also of great danger and misfortune. There has also been hints of trouble popping up on the borders between the kingdoms and the Unknown Lands. Small towns on the borders of the Unknown have been attacked and destroyed, leaving only one survior from the multiple attacks. This has caused a stir between the kingdoms especially with the kingdoms that have been attacked having distrust towards the others. After many weeks of discussion though each kingdom has decided to try to send one volunteer to the Unknown lands to find the cause of the attacks and end the distrust between the kingdoms.

    The Kingdoms:

  • Pyrrush - The Charizard
    Prologue -Royal Duties | Done

The Fire Kingdom was covered by fiery cottages; homes that were made of red-brick with hay roofs that billowed out dark smoky fumes from their stone chimneys. The streets were made of a cobblestone that seemed affected by the dark smoke rising into the air. To visitors, the burning smell may be repugnant but to the denizens, it was a pleasant aroma. Probably more so, to the captain of the Royal Guard: Pyrrush the Charizard.

Pyrrush's mouth flew open as a deep yawn escaped his lethargic face. He brought his hand over his mouth lazily in an attempt to uphold Phillip's reputation. How would it look if the captain of his royal guard was simply lounging around on a bench while the soldiers guarded the ruler dutifully. A smirk played on his lips. He could only imagine it looking irresponsible.

Pyrrush shrugged his shoulders and placing his arms on the bench, leaned all the way back. So be it, thought Pyrrush. Its too beautiful a day to not be enjoying the sun. The sky was clear and cloudless, pushing aside the dark columns of smoke rising into the air. A small flock of birds was flying carelessly towards the west, their path putting them in line with the Ground Kingdom...If he had remembered right from school.

He pulled himself up to look towards Prince Phillip, just a cautionary glance to make sure everything was still running smoothly. Again, he found the Prince's gaze lingering on him. That same watchful concern set deep in his eyes. Its been that same look since he had taken the assignment to explore the Unknown Lands.

Pyrrush pulled a smirk on his lips before giving the prince a thumbs up and leaning back against the bench again. On the outside he looked as relaxed and carefree as usual but on the inside was a different story. He was having mixed feelings about the Unknown Lands. Fairy Tales, Nightmares, Myths, Legends... He could go on forever about the severity of stories that circle that place. If he had it his way, no one would go. But since he doesn't and someone must go, then why not himself.

"Heyyyy, captain," A girlish voice called out to him. It didn't sound urgent so he kept his head leaned back against the bench. He had a good idea of who it was. "Captainn<3?" The voice rang again while a petite mass sat down on the bench beside him. "Are you ignoring me?" She asked in flirty tone. He could feel her dainty fingers trailing up his abdomen onto his chest.

Quickly, he gripped her wrist. "I would never. I just decided to stay annoyance-free for a few seconds more." Pyrrush jested without humor.

"You know if you want me to leave then just say sooo," Flare said while leaning in closer towards his emotionless face.

Pyrrush brought his left index finger to his cheek and rubbed it with a slight smirk. This wasn't the first time she had said this. Of course it wouldn't matter what he said; she would decide to stay anyway. "Yea right, I'd rather not test that. I fear you might come back ten times stronger"

She smiled before looking towards the guards. The air taking a sudden turn for the serious around her. Pyrrush sat up in the bench, awaiting for her to speak. He knew it had to be something important; she had lost that flirtatious gleam that usually sat in her blue eyes.

    Amynta De Ayla

    The Child of Nature

The Right Girl For The Job?

When her father had returned to the tribe with the news, the first thing Amynta De Ayla thought about was just who he had in mind to represent the tribe for such an important task. The next thing she thought about was how her ears must have been playing tricks upon her when she heard something that sounded similar to her name. The last thing that had went through Ayla's mind was how this had to be some sort of mistake when the crowd of her fellow tribes members parted way, clearing a path for the girl to walk up to meet her father.

Now, as Ayla stood at the castle gates of the capital of the Psychic Kingdom, the girl could only definitely feel like this whole notion of her being the representative of the Psychic Kingdom for such an important task was a huge mistake. The girl tightened her grip on the staff she carried in her arms, looking ahead at the rather imposing castle gates. Such a place as this was no such place for one such as her, regardless of if she was the chieftain's daughter or not.

"M-Maybe... Maybe if I go back now f-father can find someone else to t-take my p-place..." Ayla whispered to herself, slowly taking a step back. She felt her legs begin to tremble. The thought of just turning tail and running was becoming quite an enticing notion. "Y-Yes, I am sure f-father would understand... I s-should get g-going, q-quickly."

The Sigilyph turned and began to briskly walk in the opposite direction of the castle, when she suddenly felt a hand grip her left shoulder. Ayla had to fight back every urge she had not to let out a sharp, frightened scream at that moment. Slowly, she turned back around, coming face to face with one of the Hypno that took place as a castle guard.

"You've been standing around out here for some time, mi'lady... Is there something I can help you with?" he inquired, staring down intently at Ayla as if he was analyzing her every feature for something of great importance.

Ayla felt her cheeks began to heat up. The girl took a deep breath and nodded. "Y-Yes... M-My name is Amynta De Ayla... I... I h-have come h-here upon the b-behalf of the Sigilyph t-tribe t-to speak with h-her majesty, P-Princess Regina..."

The guard gave Ayla a curious glance. Out of fear, Ayla quickly found herself looking away from the Hypno. Her eyes were focused on the ground before her, biting her lip as she braced herself for what she felt was the imminent rejection and ejection from the castle grounds. Instead, the Hypno gave a small nod.

"Yes, the Princess has been expecting you. Please, come this way," he said calmly, turning to lead the Sigilyph towards the castle.

Ayla watched silently as the guard began to walk towards the castle, before she quickly began to catch up to him. The closer the duo got to the castle, the more Ayla began to feel that it was quite imposing for someone such as her. This was the first time she had ever seen a castle. The landscape was decorated by a rather expansive and ornate garden. Rose bushes stretched along every path, with fountains and sculptures of rather important looking people scattered about.

This feeling of awe only increased once Ayla stepped inside the castle. Rich, vibrant pictures and tapestries decorated the walls with fancy suits of armor acting as statues along the way. Various guards made their ways through the hallways, keeping a close and careful watch as Ayla followed behind the Hypno which met her at the castle gates. It was so quiet inside the castle, that the Sigilyph could practically hear the sound of her bare feet padding across the checkered tiles that made up the flooring.

Feeling so many eyes upon her sent a small chill running up Ayla's spine. Once more, the girl found herself staring intently at the floor as she walked. By some fashion, the girl had managed to keep so focused on the floor that she failed to notice that her guide had stopped, causing the girl to plow right into him on accident. Ayla fell onto the floor, landing on her backside with a small whimper.

"...We're at the throne room," the Hypno said quietly, glancing down at Ayla. He watched as the girl slowly picked herself off the ground, brushing off her skirt with a deep blush gracing her cheeks. "Please wait here a moment while I let the Princess know you are here..."

Ayla only gave a small nod, watching as the guard stepped into the large and imposing doors which led into the throne room. The Sigilyph could practically feel her heart racing at this point, her stomach starting to feel somewhat sick due to a combination of the worry and dread.

Ayla closed her eyes slowly, a small sigh escaping her lips in the process. "Goddess Celebi, please g-grant me s-strength..."

  • Location: Acciaio Grande, Capital of the Steel Kingdom
    Officers Quarters of the Barracks

Captain Roland, "The Blade of War" of the Steel Kingdom's army was staring at a map of the Steel Kingdom. In his mind, he was thinking deeply about where to strike first. He was so focused on the map that he he did not hear one of the other officers, in this case a Skarmory gijinka named Erick who was a Lieutenant Colonel come in. Roland then turned around to face Lieutenant Colonel Erick. Roland then saluted and asked, "Is there something you need, sir?"

Erick returned the salute and then said, "Yes there is something I need to speak to you about. His Majesty, King Araon has requested that you are to see him in his palace to speak to you about something very important. You can find out the details about it from him. So you best get over there."

Roland then said, "I understand, sir. I will be heading there right away." He then rolled up the map, made sure his sword was in its sheath and his shield on his left arm, and left the barracks.

    Location: Acciaio Grande
    Main Road to the Palace

As Roland was walking along, he turned to briefly look at some the buildings on his left. The polished steel buildings were shining brightly in the sunlight. He then noticed a couple of Mawile gijinka were talking to each other. He then thought about how women loved to gossip. He then noticed the finely polished steel palace ahead of him.

He then walked up to the guards outside of it and said to one of them, "His Majesty, King Araon requested to speak to me about something important. I am here to see him about it."

One of the guards, a Empoleon gijinka, turned to face the Steelix gijinka and said, "You better open one of the gates, Max." The Steelix gijinka nodded and opened the gate to Roland's right. The Empoleon gijinka then turned towards Roland and said, "You can head on through. A word to the wise though, what King Araon has to tell you are for your ears only. So once he tells you, don't tell anyone else." Roland nodded and headed through the gates.

    Location: Acciaio Grande
    King Araon's Palace

As Roland made his way though the palace, he thought about thought about what King Araon wanted to discuss. He then entered the throne room. After looking toward the throne, he bowed to the Aggron gijinka.

King Araon then said, "Rise, Captain Roland. Here is what I have to talk to you about. As you know, there have been attacks along the Unknown Lands. I am sending you as the Steel Kingdom's representative. You will leave by troop transport from the port town of Stahl. It is located near the mountain border that divides our kingdom from the Fairy Kingdom.I am giving you the order to leave for Stahl at once."

Roland then replied, "It will be done, your Majesty. I will be leaving for there now." He then turned around and headed out of the throne room.

  • AliceA port in the Dark Kingdom
    The Assignment

It was in the middle of the night in the Dark Kingdom's largest port city. A middle-aged, thin man with greying, black hair and a rather impressive moustache, stretched his arms out above his head and yawned quietly. It was a little past midnight, according to the large clock standing in the far corner of the room, but he wasn't finished with his work yet. Not by a long shot. He bent down over his desk and went back to scribbling on the paper with the pen in his hand.

Suddenly, he paused. He thought he had heard a bump coming from upstairs, as if something soft fell to the floor, or a window being opened. He raised his head and looked up at the ceiling warily, his brows furrowing as he quickly gathered up the papers on the wooden table in front of him, folding them on top of each other and getting up from his seat. His long, black and yellow jacket billowed slightly as he moved over to push aside the painting hanging over his fireplace, where he proceeded to open the safe hidden behind it, stashing the papers in there.

Not long after, he was on his way up the stairs with a candelabra in his hand, casting both light and shadows all over the wooden walls around him. He moved slowly and quietly, carrying a dagger in his hand and as he reached the top of the stairs, he looked around the hallway, narrowing his eyes as he noticed the door on the right was slightly ajar. He quietly stepped over to it and peeked inside before pushing the door further open, stepping entirely inside and holding up the source of light in his hand, casting the shadows of the room back into the corners.

He slowly stepped inside while alertly looking around, only a faint bit of light entering the room from outside the window in the far end of the study, which was filled with books, papers, several bookshelves and the like. The source of light outside was one of the lanterns hanging on the walls along the roads weaving in and out through the port city. His eyes moved to the window, which he noticed, had a potted plant laying on the floor in front of it. He slowly stepped closer to the fallen plant and only once he was a few steps away from it, he thought it odd that the plant had fallen from the window sill without even as much as receiving a crack in the pottery.

Just as he was about to turn and move back downstairs, he felt a sudden pain in his chest, a gasp managing to escape him as he dropped the candelabra in pure shock. He tried calling for his guards, but all that came out was a gurgled cough as a trickle of blood made its way out the corner of his mouth. Whatever that had pierced his chest was suddenly pulled out as the man toppled over onto the floorboards, his energy completely drained from the sudden pain. His breathing was troubled, mixed with a faint spluttering from the blood pooling up in his mouth, most likely due to a damaged lung, as he lay on the floor, staring at the candelabra and the flames of the candles slowly catching fire to one of the books laying on the floor nearby.

That's when a shadow suddenly covered majority of his face, a figure bending down over him, staring down at him with one crimson-pupilled eye, the other covered by a fringe of hair. The figure watched him for a few moments before it spoke in a quiet, cold female's voice. "Your guards decided to go home early tonight. Let this be your lesson." The figure stood up, stepped over to the candelabra which she picked up, the gleam of silvery blades over her hands catching the light as she moved over to drop it on a large pile of books and papers on a couch, the entire thing catching fire, the shadowed figure turning to him again. "… Stealing, lying and murdering for your own good cannot be forgiven. Goodbye chancellor." With that, the figure turned and left the room, leaving the dying man to wheeze for air as he weakly tried to move, the flames on the couch quickly spreading to both the rest of the papers and the walls and floor themselves.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alice placed the wooden lid of the crate on top of the small parcel, small enough to be carried under an arm. She picked up the nails and hammer and proceeded to knock them into the crate, sealing the lid. The small, dingy-looking room was illuminated by a small lantern hanging from the middle of the ceiling, giving light to the little work table in the corner she was standing next to, a small bed in the other corner, a little cooking area, and a door, presumably to a washroom of some description.

After knocking in the final nail, she placed down the hammer, pausing as she narrowed her eyes, her hand still resting on top of the hammer. After a brief pause, where only her breath was audible, she suddenly spun around with her leg raised high, her heel flying towards the person she had sensed. However, he had apparently sensed she would do that and leapt backwards before darting forwards again. Alice managed to dodge the attack by leaping backwards, onto the table and proceeded to deliver a kick to the side of his head, sending the tall man stumbling to the side.

She bent her knees and jumped, aiming to bring her fist down to the side of his head to knock him out, but he recovered quicker than she expected, his arm suddenly shooting out, which connected to her collarbone and pushed her up against the wall next to the table with a pained wince behind the black half-mask. They both breathed a little heavily before the gray-haired man offered a grin, showing off his canines. "… Not bad. Though I expected more, Alice."

She grunted and pushed his arm away from her, the man smiling as he willingly stepped back to let her walk past him while rubbing her collarbone, proceeding over to the table again. The man, wearing a fur-clad coat of grey and black, giving the distinct impression that he was a Mightyena gijinka, leaned back against the wall with his arms folded over his chest, looking at her for a few moments before nonchalantly speaking.

"You know, there was a big fire a few hours ago down at the harbour." Alice continued her work securing the crate in silence. "Not a lot of fires usually go off that close to the waterfront." He commented, watching her rather intently. "Apparently, they found the ex-chansellor's body in the ruins. They suspect a lantern fell over and burned the house with the man still inside." He paused, waiting for a reaction which he didn't get. "… Although personally, I have my own idea of what happened. Wanna know?"

"Will you –cut it out-, Wilfred?" Alice finally snapped, looking up from the box and sending the man a glare, continuing in a quieter voice. "We both know what happened. An accident happened." Wilfred chuckled and shrugged his shoulders, stepping over to look down at the crate, raising a hand to pat her back. "You're always so serious, Alice. We both know you're one hell of an agent, you don't have to give me this 'serious, brooding' act. Loosen up a little, will you?" Alice simply sighed and turned to him, folding her claw-less arms across her chest. "If I –was- 'acting' as you call it, I still wouldn't loosen up around the likes of you. You're a jerk."

Wilfred chuckled once more, smiling as he shook his head. "That's not any way to treat the messenger of the queen, who by the way congratulates you on a job well done. Must've taken long to track him down." Alice shrugged, looking away from him. "I just needed a lead, then it didn't take long at all. Anyway, your package is ready, so would you –kindly- get out of my house?" Wilfred grinned a little as he stepped over to pick up the crate. "The size of this place, I'd rather call it a hideout than a house, but whatever floats your boat, Alice."

He turned and was about to leave before stopping, pulling out a letter from an inside pocket, which he handed to the girl, who now sported a surprising look on her face. "Oh, and by the way, the queen wanted you to have this. See you around Alice." He sent her another grin and headed over to open the door, calling back as he exited the small 'house'. "And try to loosen up!"

Alice huffed and muttered a quiet "I'll loosen up your face…" as she opened the letter. It was odd for the queen to send her on an assignment immediately after another. With furrowed brows, she began reading.

    Dearest Alice.
Well done. We truly could not have caught him without your aid. Wilfred tells me that you are a joy to work with and that you continue to be as efficient as you have always been. I am very happy that you are still working with us, for the safety of both myself, and our kingdom.

However, I am sorry to inform you that I need your help once again. Recently, I've heard reports of attacks happening along the border of the Unknown Lands against small villages. I am very concerned, and I am sure the other kingdoms are sending scouts or perhaps even warriors to deal with the possible threat. So I need you to-

Alice crumpled up the paper and stepped over, throwing it into the metallic bucket standing in the corner. It was full of ash and already had a few pieces of paper and an odd piece of clothing inside of it. Not long after, she had tossed a match inside, setting everything inside of it ablaze. While she was staring down at the items, quickly turning into ash themselves, she couldn't help but be a little worried, for the first time in a long time. She was going to the Unknown land and she would most likely run into other delegates from the other kingdoms. With her task in mind, she turned away from the bucket's dying fire and began preparing for her journey.

Conor - Water Kingdom - Residential District

    ~Reunion~

The sun shone brightly through Conor's window, illumining the room in a sharp, bright yellow glare. The sound of birds chirping could be heard from the treetops and a gentle cool breeze blew into the room via the half opened window lightly ruffling the bed sheets.

Conor slowly opened his eyes and rubbed at them until he had fully woken up. However, one could see simply from his eyes that he had a rough night. He had barely gotten any sleep, staying awake most of the night thinking about what could happen to Gina when he won't be there to protect her. The other guards were more than capable of taking care of her but Conor didn't like taking the risk. This time however he had no choice. He had to leave Gina in the protection of the other guards while he headed off to the unknown lands to see what was going on.

He slowly raised himself out of the bed turning to the side so that his feet touched the ground. He sat there for a few seconds before giving a big yawn while he stretched and then proceeded to lift himself off the bed. He stared over at his clothes which were placed on top of an old wooden dresser. He walked over and put them on with the exception of his jacket which he threw on the bed for now.

Heading back over towards the bed he crouched down and reached underneath it. With a small heave, he pulled out a large wooden crate. Flipping open the lock, inside sat Conor's main offensive weaponry, two large cannons. He reached in and grabbed one before giving it a quick scan to make sure it wasn't damaged, he then placed it on top of the bed beside his jacket. He grabbed the other one, threw it up onto the bed before closing the lid on the box, locking it and pushing it back underneath the bed.

Conor was on 'leave' of sorts. Gina had told him to take the week off in order to rest and prepare himself for heading into the unknown lands. It was difficult for him to 'relax'. All he has ever done since becoming Gina's main guard is protect her wherever she goes. Relaxing was certainly something Conor wasn't used to.

He put on his jacket, shaking it and readjusting it so that it fitted nicely before grabbing a cannon from the top of his bed and placing it into a holster on the back of his jacket. He then grabbed the other cannon, again placing it into a holster on his back before once again adjusting his jacket and making sure the cannons were secure.

The cannons on Conor's back weigh quite a bit and because of this Conor had to bulk and strengthen himself up in order to allow his body to take the added weight. The cannons were indeed heavy but not so much so. A single cannon can easily be operated by one hand given the right person and the stronger the person wielding the cannons, the less the cannons will weigh the operator down. At the minute, Conor can operate both cannons single-handedly but the added weight on his back make him much slower than most people. The cannons also have to be re-filled with water every so often because of the fact that they are of course water cannons. They disperse a large, hard blast of water when fired but because of the fact that water can't be found in all areas, the cannons can sometimes be a curse more than a gift.

Conor took a deep breath before opening his room door and heading out, closing the door behind him.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Conor walked through the castle, a beautiful building decorated with aquariums, colourful fish and large walls of water to signify that this is indeed the water kingdom. Conor meet a few guards on the way towards the throne room, extending his greetings as he passed them. Conor was well known among the forces inside the castle, whilst he was still a humble guard like the rest of them, his connection with Gina earned him the unofficial title of 'head guard' within and outside the castle. He reached the main doors heading into the throne room, he quickly opened them and headed inside to find Gina sitting on top of the throne with many guards posted around the room, more than what was needed but this was mainly due to Conor's paranoia about Gina's safety.

Gina was staring at the floor, looking ultimately bored before raising her head and beaming a big smile when she saw Conor appear. Conor couldn't help but smile also when he saw her raise up off the throne before running down and throwing her arms around Conor. "Wow, what's that for?" Conor asked as he chuckled. "Do you realise how bored I've been on this throne today? It seems like the whole kingdom has gone quite. I haven't seen a single person all day, well apart from these guards and now you of course!" Gina replied as she unlocked her arms from around Conor. "Well, I'm sorry to say this but you're going to have to stay bored a little while longer. I have to head into town and pick up some supplies and then visit my parents." "Aww, do you know how long you will be?" quizzed Gina. "I'd say about 2 hour's maybe" Conor replied. "Aw okay. I know you want to see your family but just don't forget about coming back here when you're done. I'm bored out of my mind today. Okay?" "Okay, I promise Gina. I'll be back here after I finish in town." "Thank you!" Gina responded as she smiled at Conor. Conor smiled back and gave her a friendly nudge before turning around and walking back towards the throne room doors.

Conor closed the door behind him before exhaling deeply and staring at the ground for a few seconds. Every time I see Gina, I feel worse about leaving her. Conor thought to himself. He broke out of his stare and proceeded to head out of the castle towards the town.

He reached the main entrance to the castle and headed outside. The bright sun blinded him for a few seconds before he regained his vision. From the castle he could see down into the city below. It was bustling with people as per usual, the smoke from small buildings drifted up with the gentle breeze and the unmistakable sound of the city could be heard clearly above all else. Conor walked over to a small wall just beside the castle entrance, placed the hands on the wall and began to look and take in the scenery around him. Beautiful green fields hugged the castle on all sides and the ocean which touched the city below sprawled as far as the eye could see. The birds from before could be heard chirping again, albeit a lot more clearly now, presumably from the trees which were dotted around the castle grounds. The sun continued to shine brightly in the sky, glistening off the clear ocean water below. It was a glorious day in the water kingdom, something which Conor rarely got to see.
Conor headed off walking down the steps which led right from the castle straight down to the city below. He rarely visited the city since his enlistment as Gina's bodyguard, he would keep telling himself that if he were to visit the city while he was supposed to be protecting Gina and something was to happen to her whilst he was gone, he would never forgive himself. But this 'leave' which Gina had given him has allowed him to roam free for a while. Something which he had never done before. For once he could walk the streets without fear of Gina becoming hurt. His mind was at ease … for now.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a short walk down the stairs, he reached the city below. The noise of the streets was even louder when you were right in the middle of it although it was the capital city. Conor waded lazily through the crowds of people, making his way to a small store located a short distance away from the city centre. The further he walked away from the centre, the quieter the noise became. He continued to slowly walk along the streets, enjoying the scenery and looking around at the people to see what they were up to.

He eventually reached the shop which he was looking for and headed inside. Upon heading inside, it was a dingy and untidy establishment. A lot of the sun's rays were blocked out due to the incredibly dirty windows. A dank musty smell filled the air and dust particles flew all around. Conor walked up to the counter before giving it a sharp knock. "Yes I'll be there in a minute. Please wait" shouted a voice from down the back of the shop. Conor tried to peer into the back but couldn't see anything. He turned around and headed over to an old table which sat inside the shop. On it sat mostly useless junk, bits of metal, some wire, a hammer and a tankard. Conor picked up the metal and looked at it, rotating it around and studying it extensively.

"My my. I wondered when you'd come back into my shop. It's been a very long time" Conor spun around and peered at the shopkeeper before throwing the metal back on the table, walking over to the shopkeeper and giving him a hearty handshake. The shopkeeper was a Poliwrath but more importantly to Conor he was one of his childhood friends father. "Mr Thorel … It's so good to see you again!" Conor replied with a big smile. "Likewise my boy. Although it looks like you've grown quite a bit since I last seen you so I suppose I can't call you a boy anymore. You know I never did think you'd become the princesses bodyguard." Thorel replied as he gave a laugh. "To be honest Mr Thorel, I don't think anyone thought I'd become her bodyguard. I mean … even I never thought I'd be doing such a thing". "Well fair play to you, you deserve it. Now what can I get you?" "Could I get 4 water canisters, 2 glass bottles and a small satchel?" "Of course you can my friend. Let me just get that for you right away". Thorel rummaged around in the back until he returned with the items that Conor needed. However the two completely forgot about the transaction on hand and proceeded to talk and joke for about an hour.

After the two finished up, Conor emerged from the shop with his new items. He placed the items in a larger bag which he got from Mr Thorel and he headed off down the street once more.
Conor continued to walk down the streets until he arrived at the residential area of the city. These were the streets which he ran down and played on when he was a child. These streets held many memories for Conor, both good and bad. But the memories weren't the reason that Conor headed to this area, it was to see his mother and father. He hadn't seen them in years even though they lived just outside the castle walls. Conor was always too paranoid to leave Gina so he communicated with his parents using letters that he would send from the castle. It was nerve raking heading to his real home for once. He just hoped that his parents would be happy to see him.

After a short walk Conor finally arrived at his parent's house. Not much had changed on the surface anyway, the front area of the house still remained the same. He only hoped that his parents stayed the same as well. He took a deep breath and opened the front door ...

  • Henry
    Breloom Gijinka
    Grass Kingdom

It was a bright and sunny afternoon. The land of the Grass Kingdom was covered by a blanket of fresh green grass. Colorful flowers of many different breeds sprouted from the ground for as far as the eye can see. These flowers are a source of pride of many Grass type Gijinkas. Henry had to admit, it was a beautiful kingdom, even if it was also boring one. Henry wasn't the type to just stand around sniffing the roses. He actually wanted to get out and do stuff. With a simple green backpack in tow, Henry was walking along. He turned to briefly to smile at some young Hoppip and Cottonee Gijinkas who were happily floating in the breeze without a care in the world.

When Henry was chosen by King Stefan himself, as the Grass Kingdom's representative to explore the Unknown lands that bordered the Electric Kingdom, the boy was thrilled. He had never been allowed to leave the kingdom until now. Admittedly, he was only chosen because he was the only one who volunteered, but he was determined to prove he was worthy of partaking in this mission. Most of the other Gijinkas in this kingdom are pacifists who prefer to tend to their gardens than face potential danger. It was this reason that he felt out of place in the Grass Kingdom. He didn't have the patience to tend to flowers.

Various thoughts about the journey to come went through the boy's head, before they were interupted when the Breloom Gijinka arrived at his destination. The Palace of the King, a towering stone castle, with Ivy vines wrapped around it. On either side of the entrance were two statues of the deity Shaymin, with Gracedia flowers adorning the base. It was Henry's second time at the palace, and he was just as in awe of it as he was the first time he saw it. He had already said goodbye to his family, and now he had to have one last audience with the King before he could depart.

Henry walked up to one of the guards standing in front of the gates, a Roserade Gijinka. She immediately recognized who Henry was. "Ah yes, there you. His majesty has been expecting you." She nodded and opened the gate to right. The other guard, a Lilligant gijinka then turned towards Henry and said, "You can head on through. We'll escort you to the throne room."

"Aw, you don't need to..." But they didn't give Henry a chance to finish before the Roserade Gijinka took him by the wrist, and went on onto the castle.

When Henry and the two guards arrived at the throne room, they found King Stefan admiring himself in a mirror hanging on the wall. "Mirror mirror on the wall. Who's the most handsome ruler of them all?" He said to himself as he brushed his green hair. "Is there any point in answering that question? It's me of course! The other Kings don't hold a candle! Hahahaha!"

Henry stifled a giggle as the Roserade Gijinka cleared her throat rather loudly to get the Serperior Gijinka's attention. This caused the King to turn bright red when he realized he had guests. This wasn't the first time his guards caught him primping in front of the mirror, but it was rather embarrassing to have one of your subjects witness that.

Thankfully, the Lilligant Gijinka spoke before this situation could get anymore awkward. "Your majesty, your representative is here."

Stefan immediately dropped the green hairbrush he was holding. "Oh yes, of course!" He said as he put on his usual, calm demeanor, He dismissed the two guards so Henry and himself could have one small discussion before the boy was to set out. He had to admit, he was a little apprehensive about sending someone so young on a journey of such importance. However, he appreciated the boy's optimism. Hopefully, he could inspire the others of the kingdom to be more proactive. "Are you prepared for the journey ahead young one? There is still time to change your mind."

Henry nodded, and gave the king a salute. "I was born ready sir!"

Stefan smiled. "Very good. I don't think I will regret this decision. You shall be leaving early tomorrow morning to meet up with the representatives of the other kingdoms."

Henry bowed, then started bouncing up and down happily. "Oh, thank you very much your majesty! This has been a dream come true!" And with that, Henry ran out the door,

The King giggled to himself. "Quite an excitable one, that boy..." Then he picked up his hairbrush, and turned back to the mirror.

    Kyouki: The Lady of Temptation

    Chandelure_Gijinka.png

"I always get what I want."

Upon hearing of the existence of the Unknown Lands, Kyouki immediately figured out that her only way to freedom was to do everything in her power to be sent there. The girl's mother was on her way so she didn't waste any time. Making good use of her talents and make-up kit, she managed to pull off one of the most heart melting sad expressions. She knew her mother would fall for it.

"Oh, Mother!" the girl said in the saddest manner she could as she let herself fall in her parent's arms and buried her face into the latter's chest. "This loneliness is killing me, mother! I feel like it's sucking away my youth. Please, Mother, PLEASE, you MUST help me!" the girl went on in a pleading voice as she tightened her grip around her mother's waist.

The woman sighed and softly stroke her daughter's head as she lovingly wrapped her arms around her child, the way only a mother could do. She hated seeing her daughter sad and there wasn't a thing she wouldn't do to cheer her up. Apparently, Kyouki was well aware of that.

"I wish I knew a way to alleviate your pain, my sweet child. But there is not a thing I can do, despite desiring it from the bottom of my heart."

The girl looked up at her mom, her golden eyes gleaming with tears, her lip trembling, as she "struggled not to cry".

"Oh, but there IS something!" she said as she quickly got up and rushed to the bookshelf nearby here she picked up a large, old-looking book. "Look, Mother! Here!" she went on as she opened the book at a page she had marked earlier. "There's this huge landmass that has not yet been explored yet. People refer to it as "The Unknown Lands". I heard Father talking about the Council trying to find someone to send out to explore those lands. I want to do it! PLEASE, Mother, it's my ONLY chance to see people again. " Kyouki went on, pleading with her mother as tears started streaming down her pale cheeks.

"Oh, how I wish I could, my beloved child!" the woman said, visibly shaken by her daughter's suffering, not knowing that it was all an act. "But you can't be around people."

Kyouki was slowly starting to lose her patience. There was nothing more she wanted to do right then and there than sapping her mother dry of her life force and fleeing the property. But she knew that she would most definitely be caught by her father and the royal guards or that her mother would use Destiny Bond on her to prevent her escaping by ridding the world of her, as painful as it may have been for the woman to do so. But the girl kept calm and simply sighed.

"You simply don't love me, Mother." she concluded and lowered her gaze. "I've been locked up on this property for years and I don't even know why. I just wanted to go on this journey so that I don't die alone. I want to be with people. Do you even know how hard it is to live all by yourself? Do you have any idea how painful it is to have no one to talk to? I don't want to die of loneliness, Mother!" the girl said and finally "broke down" as she fell on her knees in front of her mother and the stream of tears intensified.

Her mother was defeated. She had finally cracked and reluctantly agreed to at least try to get her daughter to be chosen for the expedition to the Unknown Lands.

A whole month passed since Kyouki had convinced her mother to help her, by using her usual tricks. The girl was sitting on the front porch of the house, reading a book when a convoy sent by the Prince to escort her to the Palace. Along the way, the girl found out the reason why she's been kept away from people for so long. She realized the people of the Ghost Kingdom feared her. A cheeky smile bloomed on her lips. She was getting excited.

At the Palace, she finally got to meet the Prince. Priding herself in being a lady, Kyouki behaved incredibly well and accepted all of the Prince's conditions, in spite of hating them since they were taking away all the fun. She realized that she would need to put her entire array of skills to use if she wanted to have any kind of fun in the journey without getting caught.

"At least I'm no longer stuck in that house." the girl thought as she left the Palace. "This journey is going to be SO much fun!" Kyouki muttered, an evil gleam in her eyes.

  • Tiraq // Flying Kingdom Dungeons

"The Unknown Lands, huh?" Tiraq paused as he pressed his face on the stone cold bars that seperated him from the beautiful young woman sitting in front of him. She flinched slightly but regained her composure quickly. The queen gave an obviously fradulent smile as she nodded her head. "We will give you a hero's escort and farewell. All of the citizens of the kingdom will praise you as their champion. We would even overlook all your past crimes. All you ne-" Her voice, now speaking at a frantic rate, was cut off by a single finger pressed to her lips. "It's all good, milady." He gave her a playful wink before continuing. "I just need two favors fufilled and i'll go on whatever journey you want me to go on."

With a rather taken aback look, Queen Chance nodded excitedly. "Of course! You have my word that whatever you ask of me will be fufilled to the fullest!" The young man across from her leaned back in his cramped cell and gave her a genuine smile. "First, I need a bow for my trip. Not some foo-foo metallic bow that you fancies like to use. I need an authentic wooden bow made from the finest yew tree. If you need help on that go out and visit the tribes for once."

"Second." Tiraq's tone shifted from light hearted to solemn in an instant. "All those starving people out there that you neglect and disregard are to be fed and taken care of so that they can start a path to a better life. You have no idea what it's like for them." A silence hung in the air as the two sat looking into each others eyes, trying to read the other's thoughts. "Very well, I shall see to it that the vagrants are nourished. You leave tomorrow so do try and get well rested." The queen got up from her seat and left the confined dungeon without another word.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Leaning back on his stone bed, Tiraq stared at the ceiling with a pained smile. While he was content the deal he had struck with Chance, he couldn't help but feel some apprehension creep into the back of his mind. "The Unknown Lands..." He wondered aloud to himself. The older men in both his tribe and homeless colony would speak of the lands with much angst. One woman that stayed in his group had a son who lived in a small town on the outskirts of the kingdom. He had been slayed along with his wife and daughters during one of the attacks.

There had been much debate on what type of gijinka lived in those parts, or perhaps they weren't even gijinka some would say. If asked he would always just laugh it off and say that talks of the Unknown were just silly. It was almost ironic how quickly those talks became relevant to him. Thinking about the memories made with his family not of blood, stirred up a tidal wave of emotion in him. Tiraq's heart sunk as he realized he may never see both his tribe and his homeless companions again. However there was a certain satisfaction in him because this sacrifice he was making would help sustain those very friends he most likely would never see again.

He was suddenly shaken from his thoughts by a guard slamming on iron bars that were the door from the prison cell. "Wake up, Prisoner. It's time." The exit from the stone hellhole that Tiraq had been living in for the past months swung open. As usual he had lost track of time, but this seemed that the twenty four hours the queen had given him had gone by somewhat too quickly. However, he wasn't going to miss the chance to get out and stretch his wings for the first time in what felt like an eternity.

The walk through the long dungeon corriders couldn't have gone any slower for Tiraq. He almost started to sprint ahead of the guard, but held himself back when the huge Fearow gijinka glared down at the fidgeting young man. As the two finally made it to the stairs and started the ascend the sun glared harshly into their eyes and for someone who hadn't seen it in months it was completely blinding. For a few moments Tiraq felt the pain of a thousand needles in his eyes before his eyes adjusted and he found himself at the top of the city, right underneath the queen's castle.

"Took your time didn't you?" Queen Chance stood before the prisoner along side a large group of very astute looking elders. "My apologies, but we were informed that your journey has been pushed forward and you are to be leaving right away." One of the seniors brought forth a bag full of supplies and another brought a worn down yew bow. "We were not able to contact your tribe in time or construct one in the limited time that we had. This may not be up to your standards, but you are going to have to deal with it. Also, that bag is packed with supplies and a note telling you everything that you'll need to know about the journey,"

Tiraq took both items and thanked each man. Stretching his arms out, he gave all of them his trademark grin. "Why's everyone so grim here?" He patted the queen on her back and immediatly three spears were pointed directly at his head. "At ease." Chance said to the guards as she gave him a rather annoyed look. "He was about to leave anyways..." Bowing in a rather mocking fashion, Tiraq flipped his new belongings onto his back. "Of course your majesty." He exclaimed before starting a short jog and bursting into the air, feeling freer than he ever had.

    Part 1. Chosen

    Fayette

Fayette smiled to herself as she rummaged around the kitchen of her bakery l'amour maternel. A name that everyone across the world knew. "found it Marie!" she called out laughing as she pulled an ornate looking basket from the back of a cupboard.

"wonderful I was wondering if I'd have to help you find it Fay" a soft airy voice laughed with her.

Standing up the Sylveon Gijinka set the basket on the counter and turned to face the Slurpuff Gijinka shaking her head. "I haven't used this basket since mother died" she said softly smiling sadly.

"I know Fay, but why are you digging it out now?" Marie asked as Fayette moved around the kitchen putting freshly baked Oran Berry Muffins into the basket.

"Because, Father told me my presence has been requested at the castle."

"The Castle, really" Marie looked at her in shock.

"Yes really, and I know the Princess loves the Oran Berry Muffins I make, father makes a delivery once a week of these" Fayette said covering the muffins with a gold colored cloth.

"anyways, I'm off. Can you, Freed, and Tevis take care of the bakery while I'm gone?"

    "Of course we can Fay"

"Yeah, Yeah I know" Fayette chuckled taking her apron off and picking up the basket. "I'll be back later" she waved with her free hand and exited the back door of the bakery. Walking with purpose Fayette quickly excited the alley and entered the bustling streets of the Capital City. As she walked she heard a few voices she knew call out a cheerful good morning that she responded to just as cheerfully.

Within ten minutes she was approaching the gates to the castle and smiled kindly at the Granbull guard. "Morning Fredrick"

"Good Morning Fayette, your father and the Princess are expecting you" the older man smiled as they walked through the large palace doors.

"Any idea why I've been summoned Fredrick? I've never been summoned like this before" Fayette asked quietly nodding kindly to the guards and servants they passed as they walked together.

"No clue Fayette" Fredrick shrugged as they stopped outside the throne room doors.

"guess I'll find out now" Fayette smiled at the man as the doors to the throne room opened and she entered the vast room.

"ah, there you are Fay" a voice called out and Fayette looked up to see her father, and older Spritzee gijinka standing beside a throne that had a small child, a Flabébé gijinka who say holding an ornate scepter.

"Father, Princess" Fayette bowed her head respectfully holding the basket in front of her.

"Do I smell Oran Berry Muffins?" The Princesses childish voice said happily.

"of course Princess, I know these are your favorite" Fayette smiled at the young Princess handing over the basket.

"Thank you Fayette, now please take a seat, your father and I have much to discuss with you"

    ******

An hour later Fayette walked out of the castle in a daze, attached to her hip was a brilliant looking rapier that matched her outfits coloring. I can't believe that chose me...I have to make them both proud, the Princess....and father she thought not even hearing the voice calling for her.

"Fayette, what on earth is wrong?" a hand shook her and she turned her head to see Fredrick.

"I...I've been chosen to go to the Unknown Lands" Fayette said softly still in shock. "I'm sorry I...I have to get back to the bakery" she added quickly running off before Fredrick could say anything else.

  • Luka:- Chapter 1:

I stepped out into the cool wind, it felt almost like ice against my skin, it was a particularly cold day. I shuddered, still not managing to swallow the truth I had just discovered.

A few hours earlier: It was a normal day, or at least to start with. I pulled myself out of bed within the early morning hours. I threw on my normal attire and walked out of my grandfather's house. I headed to the Sunday market, as I normally do at this time, to purchase groceries for the week ahead. When I arrived I knew not all was well, crowds swarmed on the plaza that the market usually took part in. I spotted a familiar face close by, Kaji, a boy with bright orange hair, spiking up in all directions, wearing and orange jacket and blue shorts, with golden bracers on his wrists. He was a little younger than me. I approached him and posed the question:
    "Why is everyone gathering here?"

"Didn't you hear? Queen Mina is about to give an announcement." he stated before turning back to the stage, which I had failed to notice as I approached the crowd. Soon, the crowd fell silent as Queen Mina appeared on the stage in front of us.

"Welcome my people!" She called out in the sweetest of voices. "I have come to announce a quest for those who are willing to go through great lengths to come to glory!" The crowd around me began to roar, including Kaji. The citizens of the Fighting kingdom were proud people, whom would go through great lengths to become famous. "Hush, hush my people." she continued in a sweet voice, the crowd's excitement began to die down. "The quest is an astounding feat to complete." She held the whole of the crowd's attention, as everyone held her with the highest esteem. "This quest, is to journey to the Unknown Lands!" The crowd fell absolutely silent. "Any volunteers?" Mina questioned. My eyes scanned the rest of the crowd, to see if anyone had volunteered. "No? I have agreed with the leaders of the seventeen other kingdoms that one of our citizens shall follow in the footsteps of all of theirs and journey to the Unknown lands." Her voice no longer sounded as sweet as it did before. Nobody in the crowd dared to make a sound. The atmosphere was ice cold, as if they knew what was about to happen.

Present: "Luka, Luka you cannot go!" I hear my grandfather yell. "Now you know it is how we lost him!" I felt tears begin to develop, I began to run I couldn't bare a real goodbye, so I turned back and yelled 'goodbye' and kept running, until I had exited the wall of the capital city. My sword in its sheath was knocking against my leg while sprinting and soon my back started to ache as my shield and backpack began to feel as if they were gaining weight.

A couple of hours earlier: After the announcement, Queen Mina became desperate and threatened to pull a name out of a bowl and force that person to go. Kaji fought back, however he was taken to Mina's castle and it was acted as if he had volunteered. Afraid, everyone scurried away so that nothing would happen to them or their families. However, I ran home to ask my grandfather's permission to go on the quest in Kaji's place.

I rushed through the streets of the kingdom and made it home in a short amount of time. I grabbed my backpack and stuffed it full of food that may be useful. I searched every room, with no sign of my grandfather still being there, I left and ran straight to the castle. I felt so spontaneous, more so than I had in years. I ran through the castle gates, used my aura sensing powers to identify the room Kaji was in, he had a particularly warm aura about him. I soon found the room, I saw my grandfather speaking with Mina, which surprised me greatly, however I stayed focused on my task. I soon spotted Kaji, stood between two guards. I approached Mina, to tell her of my decision. I announced before everyone in the room that I was to journey to the Unknown Lands, whether it be as the kingdom's representative or just as an individual. "That is fine." Mina stated once again in her sweet voice. "You shall go as the kingdom's representative, thank you dearly for your cooperation."

"You did not consult me about this decision" My Grandfather stated. My heart stopped 'I had to go, to stop Mina forcing Kaji to' I thought to myself.
"I apologize grandfather, but I believe I must. Kaji is young, and has much hope for his future. I do not believe he deserves this."I stated.
"This may be true, but you too have hope for your future"
"Yes, but Kaji is younger, anyway I have made my decision."
"Fine Luka, there is something I must tell you, in private" Raising his voice as he talked, my grandfather continued.
"No, anything you want to say, you should be able to say it here!" I began to shout.
"That is how your father left us!" My heart stopped, tears flooded my as the words came out of his mouth.
"Wha-what" I was gasping for air, I could hardly breathe.
"Your father went on a quest to find out about the Unknown Lands and that is why he is dead! I cannot lose you the same way!" He began speaking in a hushed voice, trying to soothe me "I didn't tell you because I thought you would go and try to find him, I couldn't lose you. I'm sorry, I'm sorry." I struggled to swallow this information, it was like half of my life was a lie. Tears were streaming down my face.
"So you are his son" Mina chimed in, in an intrigued voice. "I remember your father leaving" Her voice was sweet yet cold at the same time, tears continued to pour from my eyes. "Do you still want to go?" She finished sounding almost sympathetic.
"Yes" I stood up. "I want to go"
"But th-" My grandfather attempted to speak
"Nobody was talking to you" I cut him off in a bitter manner.
"Good, follow me" Mina said softly as she began to walk towards a closed door, I walked quickly and caught up to her, two guards closed the doors behind us and followed us closely. We walked down a corridor until we reached another closed door. She flung open the door and told the guards to wait, I followed her closely as the doors were pulled shut behind us. Mina walked towards a cabinet and opened the doors she turned around holding a shield in one hand and a sheath in the other. "These were your fathers. These are the weapons he took into the Unknown Lands, they were found a couple of months later near the borders of our kingdom." She said softly. I attached the shield to my back, underneath my backpack, then Mina helped me attach the sheath to my belt. She then took a sword out of the cabinet and handed it to me, I slid it into the sheath. "Just channel your aura powers into the sword and you will be able to do great things with that sword!" Mina then walked me out to the back exit of the palace. "Prepare yourself. Good Luck and Goodbye, hope to see you again!" With that, Mina walked back inside. I cried a little until my grandfather appeared behind me.

Present: I soon found myself in a village near the kingdoms border, I went to an inn in the village and paid for a room for the night, I was now ready to face the Unknown Lands. I laid in my bed and thought back on the events of the day before drifting off to sleep.

(Sorry I took so long to get this up I just had a few internet problems)

  • Suniku - Poison Kingdom

A loud crash drew the attention of passing civilians as the door to a bar swung open and Suniku was tossed out. The Venusaur gijinka emitted a low growl as she flipped in the air to land on her feet, her auburn gaze locking onto the Nidoking bartender standing in front of the door she had just been thrown out of, his arms crossed over his chest and a furious look on his face. "Hey, what's the big idea?!" Suniku shouted, shaking her fist at him.

"I could ask the same thing," he replied darkly, his voice rising with his next words. "I don't want any trouble in my bar. Get lost."

    "But he-!"

"Fighting again, mi'lady?" Suniku turned her head to glare at the one who had interrupted her, then looked away again with an irritated huff. "You really must learn to control your temper, Suniku," the Arbok gijinka continued in an exasperated tone.

"What do you want, Sarrel?" she ground out, ignoring his words.

Sarrel sighed, but continued on with his mission. "Their Majesties, King Theodore and Queen Theresa, have called for an audience with you. I believe it concerns your earlier request." Suniku instantly forgot her earlier tussle, her ears perking and a grin spreading across her face. Before Sarrel could even blink, she had already disappeared down the street in the direction of the palace. He let out another weary sigh. "I hope their Majesties know what they're doing, sending her..."

Before she entered the palace of the Poison Kingdom, Suniku at least had enough sense to straighten herself out. She patted her rumpled green tunic down to get the wrinkles as smoothed out as possible, brushed the dirt from the street off, and ran her hands through her hair a few times to tidy it. Finally, she approached the palace doors, nodding to the guards as she passed inside. Since she had come to the Poison Kingdom five years ago, she came to the castle often to offer her services to the king and queen in whatever way she might, so she was a common sight to most of the guards and servants.

Her long legs and quick steps carried her quickly through the halls; someone new to the palace might have stopped to stare at all of its wonders, but she'd been here often enough to no longer be awed by them. When she reached the throne room, she waited impatiently outside the doors while a guard announced her; when she heard her name called, she strode in and knelt before the throne, her head bowed respectfully. "You called, your Majesties?"

"As I'm sure you have guessed, this is about the request you made," King Theodore replied. "You asked to go as the Poison Kingdom's ambassador to the Unknown Lands. We have decided that you may go."

Suniku raised her head, her eyes shining as she attempted to keep her tone even and neutral. "Thank you, my king. I will do my best to properly represent the Poison Kingdom. Rest assured that you will not regret this decision."

The evening sun shone dimly through her window as Suniku flipped a knife in her hand, tossing it up in the air then catching it by its handle before it could cut her hand. She'd already packed what she would need for the trip; all there remained to do now was to wait until the next day, and she would set out.

'Who will the Grass Kingdom send, I wonder?' she mused, watching the dying light glint off her knife. 'Someone I know... or a stranger?' She caught the knife again and gripped it loosely in her hand. 'Not that it really matters... I'll find a way to shame them either way.' Flicking her hand in a brief motion, she sent the knife flying through the air to impale the door. Of course she'd also keep the Poison Kingdom's mission in mind while in the Unknown Lands... But who said she couldn't have a little fun as well?

  • Tiraq // On The Road Again

Tiraq soared the air feeling as free as could be. He should have been reading over the queen's notes and heading to wherever the meet up spot was, but there was one last stop he needed to make. Scanning the ground he searched for a familiar landmark, dropping down as soon as he found what he had been looking for. The fresh dew of the early morning dampened the bottom of his sandles as he crept up from behind a building, watching his targets carefully. The sun was on the rise, but not a single gijinka stirred from their sleep. Pulling two loaves of bread from his bag, he slinked up cautiously forward. Quietly, he walked throughout the sleeping bodies, giving each a reticent goodbye. When he reached the back end of the camp he placed the provisions on the ground, and started a quick jog before taking off.

A bittersweet feeling settled in his stomach as he took off from his home for the past couple years. While the queen had given him her word there was something about giving up the care of his people to another. Tears welled up in Tiraq's eyes as the cold morning breeze hit his face. But even before he could reach to wipe them a satisfied grin spread across his face, the same one that had appeared the first night he left those loaves of bread in the same spot. He dropped once again, but this time on the outer walls of the city.

Wiping the tears away, he pulled a note and map from inside the bag.

    Tiraq,

Everything that you will need on your trip has been provided to you in this bag. You will find food, water, clothes, a map, and most importantly this note. You are to meet up with the other selected travelers on the border of the Ice Kingdom and the Unknown Lands. It should be around a four day trip for you, but be sure to make it to the checkpoint on time. If you do not make it there the other kingdoms will assume we are going against this agreed plan, making us out as the culprits behind the attacks. On the off chance that you do decide to escape as most vagrants as you might, we will hunt you down and kill you without a second thought. Also, I will personally see to it that all your peasant friends are all given slow and merciless deaths. Oh and do try and get along with your fellow travellers.

    Chance
Laughing hysterically, Tiraq put down the letter and was now wiping tears of laughter from his face. "That's our 'kind' and 'merciful' queen for ya." He chuckled slightly softer to himself as he stuffed the letter into the bag before swinging it back on to his back. "Hmmm... I guess it'd be a lot faster if I flew across the ocean and stopping in the Psychic kingdom for a break." He hadn't been out of the kingdom much, but he did know of a few tribes around the kingdoms. "I could always spend a night with the Amynta Tribe... Although it has been a couple years since I've been to the tribal meetup." Stretching his arms out for the long journey ahead of him, he proceeded to jump off the walls and sail towards the outstretching ocean. "Oh well I can always sleep on the road if needed."

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It had been at least ten hours before he even spotted land. Before he could even reach the shore, Tiraq collapsed on the shallow beaches of the Psychic lands. Moans of pain continued to pour from his lips. "Months of no flying.... and then ten freaking hours..." He complained between deep inhales of air. He laid there for almost an hour, waiting for his arms to feel well enough to get to his feet. Barely making it to his feet he walked five steps before collapsing on the side of the road. "Oh gods this trip isn't starting to well." Just as the words escaped his lips, he spotted a familiar face. "HEY! Amnyta girl!!" He screamed to get the young woman's attention. "I need some help here!" Silently he prayed to himself over and over that she would come to his aid.

    Amynta De Ayla

    The Child of Nature

    A Journey's Beginning

Ayla frowned as she continued to make her way down the road. The warm glow of the early afternoon sun made the walk comfortable, making the air not too hot, but not too cold either. A gentle breeze blew through the air, carrying with it the scent of the nearby ocean coast. Normally, such pleasant conditions would have brought a smile to Ayla's face. However, the memories of the conversation she had with her father still sat heavily in her heart...
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

"F-Father... P-Please reconsider... I... I just think I am n-not the right one for a t-task of such great importance..." Ayla said quietly, her eyes keeping focused on the ground before her.

"Ayla, it is because of the importance of this journey that I am sending you," her father replied. He paused for a moment, taking a long inhale from a pipe and then exhaling before continuing. "You lack confidence, child. Your heart is soft... and as it sits now, you are unfit to take lead of the tribe..."

Ayla winced at her father's words. She had known that she was more than a bit lacking in her development into what he felt what the ideal, future chieftain for their tribe. Slowly, the girl glanced back up, her gaze meeting her father's as he continued on.

"The council has been making talk of removing you from your position of becoming the future chieftain, Ayla... They feel your cousin would make a far better chieftain to lead the tribe when I step down..." he said. "Personally... I do not wish for such dishonor to be brought further upon our yourself or our family... And this journey is very important as a means to finally bring peace between our tribe and the royal family as well... Your refusal to do so could very well bring about a great dishonor to our very tribe, Ayla... Is this something you really want to hang on your conscious?"

Ayla seemed somewhat hesitant to answer. She found her gaze slowly lowering back down towards the ground. Her body trembled slightly as she could feel her father disapproving glare on her for even thinking of wanting to send someone else on the journey to the Unknown Lands.

"N-No, father... P-Please f-forgive me f-for being s-selfish and weak... I promise, I shall d-do you and the tribe proud..." she said quietly, her voice almost a whisper.

Her father nodded in approval. "Very well, Ayla... Now go prepare... it is almost time for your departure..."

Ayla bowed down to her father, before slowly climbing to her feet and exiting his tent. She felt a small tear running down her cheek as walked across the grounds in which the Amynta tribe made their home. Not only was she slowly being viewed as a failure in the eyes of her father, but she had learned that many people of her own tribe were slowly starting to view her as such as well... and that was feeling of incompetence was almost more than the girl could bare...

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

"I... I can do this... I have to do this..." Ayla whispered to herself, tightening the grip on her staff as the girl slowly began to walk forward again.

She wanted to feel determined. She wanted to complete this task that had been set out before her, and to finally be accepted by her father and tribe. However, with such a long and dangerous task set out before her, Ayla could not help but wonder if she was really strong enough to complete such a demand. The Gijinka stopped walking once more, slowly falling to her knees and clasping her hands together.

"Goddess Celebi... Please, grant me the strength I need to fulfill my duty... Please help me to bring honor to my family and tribe..." the girl began to pray quietly.

Ayla did not get long to pray, however. A sudden cry for help quickly fell to the girl's ears, stirring her from her prayer and causing her to look about. Ayla's eyes widened as she spotted someone laying on the side of the road just a bit further ahead. There was a slight moment of hesitation, the girl quickly looking around to see if there were any other travelers on the road who might be able to lend a hand. Quickly realizing that that was not the case, Ayla quickly scrambled back up to her feet and made her way towards the downed being up ahead. She gasped in surprise as she reached his side, quickly recognizing him from the Braviary tribe, one of the ones that the Sigilyph tribe had an alliance with.

"T-Tiraq, is t-that you?" Ayla questioned, quickly kneeling by the boy's side. "W-What happened? Are y-you alright?"

The time is now Early Afternoon

    Part 2. The Journey Begins

    Fayette

Fayette smiled to herself as she approached the docks of the port town Stahl in the Steel Kingdom. She had a simple pack on filled with the supplies her father thought she might need, her rapier was attached to her waist and in her hand she held a small basket of muffins, filled specifically with the two kinds sent most to the steel and dark kingdoms.

Looks like I'm the first one here she thought finding the ship and boarding it. Smiling kindly at the crew members she gave a way a few of the muffins but saved the rest for her two companions whoever they may be.

"at least I'll be noticeable, only one on this ship that isn't from the Steel Kingdom." she muttered to herself as she leaned against the rail of the ship her hair blowing in the wind. "I wonder who I'm meeting here, Father and the Princess didn't tell me who." she continued to mutter to herself a smile forming on her pretty face. "If they're guys I hope they're both cute" she chuckled lightly.

    En Route to Stahl

Roland had spent the night at an inn located in the town of Forge. Forge was located halfway between Stahl and Acciaio Grande. After Roland had left the inn, he continued on his way to Stahl. As he walked, he thought about the port of Stahl.

He thought to himself, Ok, what I remember about Stahl is this. It is one of the home ports for the navy. So I have to be careful if I run into any members of the navy. Course I would not mind trading jeers with one of them. He then looked ahead and noticed that he was almost to Stahl.

    Location: Stahl
    Almost at the docks

Roland entered Stahl and headed to the docks. As he was walking, a Klinklang gijinka called out to him. The Klinklang gijinka asked, "Why is the king sending one of the army guys on this mission instead of a navy member?"

Roland then looked at the Klinklang gijinka, who was at the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer and said, "The king wanted to send someone who fights fights on land instead of one of you navy boys that fight from your ships. That is why he chose someone from the army. Now I have to get to the ship that is waiting for me."

    Location: Stahl
    Docks

Roland then boarded the ship that would take him to his next destination. He then thought to himself, So I will be traveling with the reps from the Fairy and Dark Kingdoms. I wonder if either of them have boarded yet. He then noticed a Sylveon gijinka. He walked over and said, "I take it you are the rep from the Fairy Kingdom."

  • Wallace Sinclaire - Edge of the Bug Kingdom

    -----

At the edge of the kingdom, A young man stood by the town gates. He had been tasked with the goal of surveying the Unknown lands with 17 other people, from 17 other kingdoms. He only had one goal in his mind, to find a miracle remedy that may not even exist. He needed it in order to cure the disease that has plagued his family for decades. He was a member of the Sinclaire family, specifically the main branch. He was the younger of two brothers, son to two Beautiflys. Though his mother was recently deceased, taken by that very same disease he seeks to cure.

He was all alone. He didn't tell his family or his friends. He knew that if he did, they would try to stop him. He was just Wally to them, short for Wallace. He was still, and would probably always be, little Wally who can't fend for himself, and then in the back of his mind, he thought they were right.

Wallace was standing at the gate, looking on to the field. about a mile was the border to the Ice Kingdom, where they would meet up. His journey should be about three days, and then he would go into lands that no one has ever seen before..

After finally getting all of his thoughts together, he left and hoped for the best.

    -----

His journey consisted mostly of a swirl of thoughts. First, Why did my mom have to die? Seoond, What will my dad and brother think?. Third, What if I'm wasting my time?

  • Pyrrush - The Charizard
    Chapter I: The Beginning

It felt oddly somber in his quarters. As he packed his a duffle bag and slung it across his shoulders, Pyrrush couldn't help thinking that today could be the last time he'd see the place. A less than pleasant grimace decorated his lips while he looked on at the unblemished condition of his room. Atleast everyone will remember me for being a clean freak, He thought to himself half jokingly and half woefully. A stark laughterleaving his throat as he closed the wooden door.

The young charizard was now walking down the stone path towards the Kingdom's gates. His body was filled with some kind of guilt but he wasn't quite sure where it was coming from. It was at the pit of his stomach just slowly rising to his heart. He placed a clawed hand over his heart, his little attempt at trying to stop the emotion. But, alas, it failed. He tightened the emblem holding a ragged blue mantle over his body, its length flowing an inch from the ground. Now was the start of his journey, once he left the castle's walls he would be heading for the Unknown Lands. He didn't have time for petty emotions

Pyrrush looked up towards the gates and noticed two long figures just outside, their faces obscured by dark cloaks. "Strange. I guess I have time for one last job." He uttered to himself.

As he approached, the shorter of the two tossed back the hood of his cloak. Pyrrush halted in his tracks, a light smile lifting his lips as he eyed the man. "Phillip, are you seriously up this early in the morning?" Jested the charizard.

"Yea, I suppose..." replied Phillips grievously. It was then that Pyrrush's expression had become blank and impassioned. This was why his heart had thumped so slowly on the way here. Lately, Phillip hadn't been acting the same and too leave him, with such a downpour of sadness, was heartbreaking.

After the moment of thought the two had started to speak at the same time. "You know you don't have to-"

"You know I have to-" Pyrrush stopped, a flat smile on his lips as the two both waited for the others. Phillip hadn't said anything yet, so he continued on. "Y'know, I don't plan on dying. Your lack of faith is a bit disturbing." he commented.

Phillip chuckled a bit before waving one of his hands in a jedi-like fashion and letting it fall to his side. The small moment of bliss was soon overshadowed by the heaviness in the air around Prince Phillips. Pyrrush could tell that Phillips didn't want him too embark on his journey. "Listen Pyrrush," Phillip's noble voice commanded. "You aren't allowed to die on this mission... understood."

Pyrrush took a step back. "Is this an order from the royal family or a friend?" He asked with a lifted brow. "Both." Phillip replied quickly.

Pyrrush's eyes took a serious shift before he stepped pass his Prince and strode towards the lands between countries. "You got it bro. I'll be back before you know it. Don't wait up though. I'll bring fame to the Fire Kingdom." He told him cheerfully.
