    Part 1 : Capitol City

    - Where greatness begins anew-

    Melodies of Gandala (IC)

Capitol City, often referred to as "Old Capitol City" by those who live elsewhere, was the first location in Gandala to be inhabited by humans. As people began to move further inland the population decreased considerably, leaving it much more of a town than a city, though it retains its name in memory of its former status.

The city's climate remains temperate for the majority of the year, which causes the city's cherry trees to be in blossom nearly all year round. The gentle breeze and pleasant smell of the blossoms are a refreshing change of pace for the fresh-off-the-boat traveling trainers.
Roughly one mile from Capitol City are what the residents call the Trainer's Dock. This is where ships deposit their passengers, where IDs are checked, and where new trainers can register for the Conductor's Challenge. Once done the trainers are escorted to Capitol City in a much smaller boat (as the large ships would become stuck in Capitol's narrow shores).
The city's exit is located to the west, where Capitol City becomes Capitol road, which connects Capitol City to its neighboring town, Silent Hills.

    People/places of interest:
    Spoiler:

    Tasks:
1.Arrive at Zelkova's lab to collect Pokedex/receive starter/get fossils revived
    2. Proceed to Capitol Road

    Capitol Road:

    Part 1.5: Capitol Road

There are several patches of grass for wild Pokémon to hide away in, though trainers can easily walk by them and head straight for Silent Hills. There are a few fruit trees along the way for trainers who want to grab a snack, and, more than likely, items dropped by overzealous young trainers.

  • After being stuck on a ship for a so long, Darien Fox was ready for one hell of an adventure. Despite the relative luxury of the S.S Sojourner, a chartered ship travelling to all the different regions to Gandala, Darien felt extremely confined and could only run around the ship with Jacques, eagerly awaiting what the new region of Gandala contained. Stretching his legs and yawning, Darien made his way over to the dock to take in the sights. Quite unlike Castelia City that he left behind, Gandala, or at least this area of Gandala, was extremely quaint and very scenic. Even from this distance, he could see the vast cherry blossom trees coating the landscape like cotton candy. But enough with pretty trees n' stuff, Darien remarked to himself. We have some Conductors to take on!

After impatiently filling out the paperwork to get his trainer card, he at last felt ready to take on the world, only to be disappointed once it was revealed that he had to take yet another boat to actually gain access to Capitol City. Unable to be calmed, however, Darien paced fervently around the small boat, getting him some funny looks. When the boat finally arrived at Capitol City, Darien was one of the first ones off the boat, rushing ahead to the surprisingly compact Capitol "City". Not letting the city's small size faze him, however, he took Jacques out of his Pokeball to get some fresh air. With the air filled with the scent of cherry blossoms, both Trainer and Pokemon alike enjoyed the ambience and feel that Capitol City brought.

Finally, after enduring the boredom and captivity of two separate ships, Darien and Jacques could finally enjoy a brand new region. With these pleasant thoughts, the duo headed over to the most prominent building of Capitol City, presumably the lab in which he was to receive his Pokedex.

  • Hikari was super happy. She was happy that after all that time, Hikari could follow her dream. She didn't mind the slow boat ride there, and happily filled out all the paperwork that allowed her to take part in the Conductors' Challenge. She didn't even mind having to take another boat just to get to where she needed to be. As long as she had Chara, Hikari didn't care what came at her. That's why as soon as the second boat had docked safely, Hikari bolted for the lab, eager to get this party started. Unfortunately, Hikari kept getting sidetracked, stopping often to view the scenery. With the smell of cherry blossoms heavy in the air, Hikari eventually made her way to the largest building she could see, assuming that it was the laboratory she was looking for.

As she came upon the building, Hikari saw another boy with his Snivy outside the building.
"Hello!" Hikari called out to the stranger, "Are you here for a Pokedex too?" She asked.

    Adelaide "Delly" Meadows

Adelaide sighed in relief as she finally got off of that wretched boat. She hated travelling by sea, but it was the only way to get to Gandala. She pushed her glasses up and looked down at Mariam, who was bouncing on her heels excitedly. Of course the Mawile would be excited. She seemed to get excited over every little thing. It was terribly annoying, but she couldn't replace her now. The Pokémon had already gotten… attached to her. She knew from experience that it was hard to get rid of something once it got attached.

"Mariam, focus. Don't you remember what we're here for?" Mariam looked up at her trainer and tilted her head. Adelaide frowned and pointed towards the lab.

"We're here to get a Pokedex. So can you please focus for once and stop looking at everything? Do you want to go back into your Pokeball?" Mariam shook her head desperately and walked alongside Adelaide to the lab.

Adelaide scowled when she saw that there were already a few people outside of the lab. She had hoped that she would get to the lab in time to have some time to herself, but it seemed like the odds were not in her favor. She sighed as Mariam ran to the boy's Snivy, holding out a hand in greeting.

"Mariam, what did I just tell you a second ago?" Adelaide said sternly, narrowing her eyes at the Mawile. Mariam lowered her hand and looked down at the ground sadly. Adelaide huffed and looked at the strangers.

As Darien hung around the lab, he noticed a girl, a couple years younger than he was, come up towards the lab, with a fairly distinctive Charmander with a little red, heart shaped patch of fur on it. "Are you here for the Pokedex, too," the girl had asked.
"Yup. I was just about to go inside to ask the professor what the deal was. The sooner I can get that Dex, the sooner I can see Gandala, y'know? It'd be fun to see some sights in this place!"

    @ShaymieTheShaymin
Meanwhile, while the girl and Darien were introducing themselves, another girl with glasses appeared, along with her partner, a Mawile. The Mawile ran up to Jacques, checking out the Pokemon and offering her hand to the Snivy. Just as Jacques, the prim and proper Pokemon that he was raised to be, returned the greeting before the Mawile was scolded by her trainer. Feeling a little miffed that the interspecies greeting did not go as planned, Jacques attempted to maintain his cool by wearing his trademark "smug" smile and pretended that he already shook the hand of the fair lady. Seeing this little exchange, Darien chuckled and said to his Snivy, "Better luck next time, eh Jacques?" Looking back at the girl with the glasses, Darien noticed that the girl seemed to be a little on edge. Wanting to break the silence, Darien offered his own hand and said, "Greetings! I'm Darien. You didn't have to apologize for your Mawile there. We're fine with company, right Jacques?" Jacques proceeded to bow in agreement.

"So, what brings you to Gandala? I'm here for the sights and the Conductors!"

    Orichalcum

Ori had been to Capitol City before, of course. But she had never met Professor Zelkova. To be honest, she had never really wanted to before. Zelkova's Lab was a familiar landmark, often pointed out by her parents when they visited the city, but Ori had never had leave to visit, even if she wanted to. That was about to change.

Ori stood about ten feet away from the entrance, nervous. She checked and double-checked that she had her ID, and anxiously held the box that contained the fossil she hoped to get revived by the Professor. It had been a gift for her seventeenth birthday, and Ori hoped she would be able to get along with her new Pokemon. Once she had it, that was. IT was a fossil that belonged to the ancient Pokemon Tyrunt, an extinct Dragon-type with a powerful jaw. Ori was optimistic that she would be able to train it well, and she hoped that it would help her succeed in the Conductor's Challenge.

A small group of people had gathered in front of the lab. Ori stepped forward nervously. "Um, excuse me," Ori said, "are you all waiting for Professor Zelkova? Is she not in?" I didn't stutter once! Orichalcum thought. Way to go Ori!

  • Talking to the boy in front of the lab was fun, even despite him turning and talking to another girl. Then again, Hikari wasn't exactly going for a full conversation anyway, and she did get an answer to her question… Nonetheless, she was just happy to be there. She stood there awkwardly as the boy and girl talked to each other, not really having much to do. Then, another girl with curly hair approached them.

"Um, excuse me," the girl asked, " are you all waiting for Professor Zelkova? Is she not in?" The girl finished. Hikari had to stop herself from squeeing as the girl finished. 'She's so cute! Even if she probably is older and about the same height as me…" Hikari thought to herself. Hikari stepped up to the girl, and smiled. "Hello! I'm Hikari Grace! I'm pretty sure we're waiting for Zelkova… I don't know if she's here or not though. So I'm just waiting out here to pass the time." Hikari finished with a bow. She tries to be polite, but sometimes, it doesn't work. Hikari hoped she had made a good first impression to what she had hoped would be a new friend.

After having received no reply from the girl with the Mawile (she didn't seem to be one for conversation), Darien awkwardly stammered, "Uh, it's fine if you don't wanna have a conversation with us, you could have just asked. I'm not gonna bite."

Not one to linger to long on awkward silences, however, he decided it'd be best to do some kind of action to get the ball moving. He'd introduced to all those interested, people got an impression of who he was, so the next logical step was action. Also not a person for subtlety, he turned to the door of the lab, pounded on the door and yelled, "Hello, Professor! We're ready to adventure now! Can you let us in?"

The door swings open almost as soon as Darien began to knock. Harp gasped at the number of people standing outside the door-- when Zelkova said he was expecting trainers soon, she didn't realize he meant 'in about ten seconds.'

The shock wears off quickly, replaced with a curious smile. "Are you all here to get registered for the Conductor's challenge?" She asks as she leans against the opened door, allowing the new group to get a better look at the inside of the laboratory, and the incredibly confused Amaura that was currently right behind Harp. This newly revived dino was seeing a lot of things for the first time-- and everything seemed to astound her.

"He told me some trainers were coming-- I'm Harp." She didn't mean to be holding them up, but it seemed kind of awkward to meet people that might just become her first rivals, and not slip in a quick introduction. "He's ready, you can go right in."

Growing up in the next town over, Harp was very familiar with the good professor, thus she completely forgot that Zelkova often gets mistaken for a woman, and that by saying he she might have just deeply confused someone.

GM note: Some players would like to be introduced to the professor via a joint post. If you would like to introduce your character privately, you can reply here for a one on one interaction, if you would like to join the JP, a link will be posted in the skype chat tomorrow.

Darien, more than eager to go ahead, meet the professor and be off, rocketed inwards into the lab, almost running into the newly revived and confused Amaura.

"Watch--" Harp's hands immediately clasp over her eyes as she attempts to warn the charging trainer. When there was no crashing sound she peered out from her fingertips, breathing a sigh of relief. She wasn't sure if the boy had pivoted at the last second, or if Amaura side-stepped him...although she wasn't incredibly worried about the little dino; she was part rock, so a person running into probably wouldn't feel like much...to her. It could have really broken the human.

"Maur." The tiny dino chimed, turning her extended head to see where the boy had gone; almost as if she hoped he would try it again.

Letting out a nervous chuckle, Darien scratched his head and said, outstretching his hand, "Well, I'm glad that didn't turn out to be a disaster. But anyways, the name's Darien!"

Fidgeting with his hands, wanting to advance the conversation towards getting what he came for, Darien asked the girl, "Is the professor here yet? I kinda wanna get going; there's a whole lot of Gandala and not a lot of time!"

"Hi, Darien!" Harp drops her hands back to her side and smiles. This guy seemed pretty nice, and energetic too!

" Mauraaa." Amaura very lightly taps her head against Darien's arm in greeting, which made her trainer giggle.

"I'm Harp. The professor's in the back, between the bookshelves." She points.

Jacques, the gentlemanly Snivy he was, also joined in the act and outstreched his hand to the Amaura, as a Pokemon to Pokemon greeting. Unbeknownst to the well-intentioned Snivy, the Amaura probably didn't know the significance of a handshake.

Amaura studied the grass snake's gesture for several seconds before tapping the outstretched hand with her nose. She isn't entirely sure how to respond to this greeting, but the little green creature looks like he wants to touch (and she lacks hands).

Oh, wow, a Snivy! Harp smiles at the little snake. Recently Snivy had become very popular in the Gandala region, it's a shame they're so hard to find.

"Glad you like him," Darien replied cheerily.

Turning towards the direction of the professor, he went to the back where Professor Zelkova was. The professor appeared to be female as far as Darien could tell.

"Ah, good morning!" The eccentric professor raises his hand in greeting when Darien comes into view. Double-O-Hoot, his HootHoot, is perched on his shoulder, and raises a wing upward in a very similar greeting.

Darien, getting over his surprise of being male after hearing his voice, asked rather impatiently, "Hey Professor Zelkova, I'd be glad to chat, but do ya have the Pokedexes? I've been waiting for so long on a damned ship!"

"Ah. Well, I'd hate to slow you down!" Zelkova smiles. He quickly turns and walks to the stack of boxes piled beside his computer. "Let's see…" It's clear that organization is not one of his better qualities. It takes about thirty seconds of rifling through boxes before the blond professor finds the correct one. "A-ha. Here we are. I packed them away so our ghost friend wouldn't enchant them." Zelkova was referring to a wild Rotom that appeared in the town recently. The little creature really enjoyed coming by the lab and possessing the coffee pot.

"Here you are." He smiles proudly as he hands the small machine to the first trainer. It looks like your everyday Pokedex, minus the very vibrant green color that replaces the traditional red. "As the newest model, it has some new features. Since you're in a hurry, I won't go into detail. Press this button and it will tell you all you need to know." He gestures to a small blue button on the Pokedex.

"Thanks, Professor Zelkova! Gotta go, wouldn't wanna miss Gandal for the world. He went back towards the front of the lab, grabbed Jacques, put him on his shoulder and zoomed out the door, not quite realizing how his actions might have been seen. He called out to the rest of the trainers, "You guys coming? I wanna see some things around here. Doesn't this place scream history?"

Hikari turned as the door opened and a girl with light blue hair stepped out. 'Ah geez' Hikari thought to herself, 'first a cute girl, and now a pretty one? Besides the Pokedex, how can this day get any better?!'
Hikari walked up to the girl who called herself "Harp", and smiled, "Hello! I'm Hikari!" At this point, Hikari barely noticed the Amaura, and squeed at how adorable it is. "Ohmigosh look at this cute Pokemon!" 'It's almost as cute as its trainer.' Hikari thought. Unfortunately, she didn't realize that she actually said that out loud as she thought it.

Aww, another friendly person! Here she was so nervous about meeting other trainers, but if they're all like these two…this will be great! "Hikari? I love that name!"

When Hikari squeaked at Amaura, the young dino attempted to imitate the sound. She walks over to meet the girl with the fun noises, and gazes up to her curiously. She doesn't seem to notice that her trainer has suddenly turned a vibrant shade of pink in the face due to what was said after the squee.

Hikari played with the small dino for a bit, amazed at how adorable it is. She then looked at its trainer, who appeared to be blushing deeply. Hikari wasn't sure if this was because of her or that boy, but Hikari knew that if she was to be with anyone, it would be Harp, and that boy wasn't about to take her away. Realizing she'd been staring at Harp for a bit, Hikari also blushed and walked inside the lab, embarrassed and hoping she made a good first impression. 'At least she likes my name.' Hikari thought to herself.

"Y'know…" Harp whispers as Hikari heads inside the lab. Amaura looks to her new trainer curiously. "I think this is going to be the start of something great." If today was any indication…a new Pokémon, new friends (one who thinks she's cute, it's going to be awhile before thinking about that doesn't make her smile from ear to ear), a new adventure unfolding. Everything is going to be great.

Upon entering, Hikari noticed that the place... well, it wasn't a complete mess, but it could use some spring cleaning. The boy from earlier then blew past her, running out the door with some green object in hand. Hikari walked further into the building, and saw what appeared to be a rather nice looking woman who Hikari guessed was Professor Zelkova.
"Hello!" Hikari started, "I'm Hikari Grace, and I came by to pick up a Pokedex."

"Hello~" Zelkova greets, his deeper voice is quite the contrast to his feminine appearance. "You are right on time, miss." Zelkova watches as his HootHoot flies from his shoulder. 00Hoot picks up a Pokedex with a talon and quickly flies over to Hikari.

Hikari nearly fell over as Zelkova spoke, revealing that "she" was a "he". Hikari took the item from the Hoothoot that approached her, and inspected it. "So... uh..." Hikari stammered in shock at the revealing of Zelkova's gender, "this is the Pokedex, correct? Doesn't seem like much..." she said while looking at the green rectangle.

"Wonderful things come in plain packages." Zelkova encourages. This girl doesn't seem in near the hurry the previous trainer was, so he will take the time to explain a few things. "This button." He points to a white button on the side of the Pokedex. "Connects you to my PC service wirelessly. This." He points to a very small red button. "Sends an SOS. If you ever need help, hold this button down for five seconds, it will send a distress signal, and someone will come to your aid."

As Zelkova spoke, Hikari began to look at the Pokedex with more respect than earlier. She looked at each button, and was sorely tempted to push the SOS button... but decided not to. "Does this thing have anything else I should know about?" Hikari asked regarding the Pokedex.
Despite being seemingly focused on the item in her hand, Hikari began to feel her thoughts drift towards the visage of that girl... 'Harp...' Hikari thought to herself. It was at this point that the simple infatuation had became much more, and Hikari realized she had genuine feelings for the blue headed girl. A slight blush appeared on Hikari's face that, luckily enough, went unnoticed by the Professor.

"When you're in a new route." Zelkova touches the dex's screen. "And this question mark." He taps the little question mark icon that appears in the corner. "You'll see every Pokemon known to this route." The screen shows an outline of the city. The only icon shown is a very light Rotom outline. "If they're faded, like this one, it means there aren't many. I only know of one Rotom here." He pauses briefly, the young lady's mind seems to be elsewhere. Perhaps he should speed things up so she can catch up to the other two. "Oh, and I added a speaker. You can connect your Pokedex with others and communicate with them, like a telephone." He smiles, giving 00Hoot a small rub on the head. "That's everything. Be careful of loose papers on your way out." She seems like she might make a run for it, and he would hate to have her trip on ome of his scattered papers.

Hikari was so deep in thought that she barely heard what Zelkova was saying. Something about a question mark and pokemon outlines...? Hikari would figure it out later. She did catch the part about the Dex having a communications function, and was glad that the Dex was so versatile.
Hikari placed the Pokedex in her bag and bowed, "Thank you, Professor Zelkova!" She heard Zelkova's warning, and avoided stepping on any papers that were on the floor as she walked out of the building. She saw Harp standing there outside and stopped.

Darien shot out of the lab so fast, Harp couldn't catch him if she tried, plus, she didn't want to run off without Hikari. If they took her shortcut through the route, they could catch up to him easily.

"Hey... Harp." Hikari started, "I was... um.. I was wondering if... if..." Hikari stammered. She just couldn't get the words out as she looked at Harp. "I was wondering if you wanted to travel together?"

Oh, there she was. Harp smiled pleasantly at the appearance of her newest friend, a smile that grew ten fold at Hikari's offer. "I'd love that!"

Avery was never late, and if she was, it wasn't her fault. It wasn't her fault that her alarm didn't go off at the right time. It wasn't her fault that the road had a bridge out, and she had to go around. And it definitely wasn't her fault that she stopped to get some melon bread for her and her audino. The vendor was right there when she got off the boat! How could she resist? Plus, it wasn't like the lab was going anywhere. She wasn't at risk to hit nightfall, and it was more like Sahara was just trying to force her away from laying on the couch. She'd tried to hide under it when prodded to do the task, but that didn't really work out either.

So, now she was here, with a full stomach and her audino, Sage, riding on her shoulder, walking down the short pathway to the lab. She hummed contently to herself, and wiped the crumbs off her mouth with the back of her glove. "That was pretty good, huh buddy?" She smiled, looking up at the pokemon, who cooed in response. His antennae curled cheerfully. As she approached, a handful of trainers were bolting off into the distance. A grin found its way to her face," And they're off to the races."

The young woman opened the door to the lab, about to announce her presence to be polite, and make it clear she was here on a task from a mayor. However, she was once again distracted when she saw a flicker of light and the rattle of a trash can. Her head tilted to the side, and she put Sage down to walk over to it, opening the top," Hey there lil buddy, you stuck-"

She shouted as the rotom flew straight into her face, giving her a nasty shock, and promptly zoomed off. What a little shit! Avery rubbed at her cheek. It was just her luck; of course this would happen to her. She scowled, looking up at the remaining company in the room," Professor, I have another fossil for you to recover if it's not too much trouble."

  • Hikari felt her heart race as Harp agreed to join her on her journey. "We're going to have so much fun!" Hikari said excitedly. She grabbed Harp's hand and basically dragged her away towards Capitol Road.
Upon entering Capitol Road, Hikari let go of Harp and looked at the scenery.
"Isn't it pretty? I don't see a lot of this at home…" She said regarding the trees and green grass. Then, Hikari's Pokedex beeped, catching her attention. Hikari took it out and saw a question mark on the screen. She pressed it and saw the image of some deer-like Pokemon. "Who's that Pokemon…?" She looked up and saw the same Pokemon that was on her screen. Hikari gasped, "Oh my Arceus… It's… Adorable!" Hikari was beside herself with awe as she looked at the wild Pokemon. "Deerling… Grass/Fairy…' She said, now looking at her Pokedex. She then put it away and brought a Poke ball from her bag. "Hey Harp, check this out!" She said to her blue haired friend.

"Go, Chara!" Hikari exclaimed while throwing the Poke ball. A Charmander appeared, and seemed eager to battle. The Deerling noticed the fire-type, and got into a battle stance.
"Chara, use Ember!" The small fire lizard promptly spit small fireballs at the Deerling, giving it damage and even burning it. However, Hikari was a bit frightened, "Oh no! It's in pain!"
She took out an empty Poke ball and threw it at Deerling, sucking it in to the capsule. The Poke ball then fell onto the ground, and Hikari stood there patiently as it began to shake.

"Good morning, Avery!" Zelkova greets happily. Under normal circumstances, the Professor would be terrified that the wild Rotom had attacked someone; however, Zelkova had known of Avery for some time now. These things just…seemed to happen to her. A part of him wondered if this was even the first shock she had received today. Tough cookie, this one.

00Hoot flies from Zelkova's shoulder to perch on Avery's, smoothing the static out of her hair with its beak as Zelkova makes his way over. "I apologize for my…guest. No matter what Seichiro does, he cannot scare it away." By now it's a matter of pride for the both of them, he supposes. Zelkova rubs the back of his neck before going on. "Right. Miss Sahara told me you were bringing me a present."

The professor takes the Old Amber and places it under his microscope, which he studies for a good minute before sighing. "I'm afraid this type of fossil takes a bit longer to revive than the others. The DNA trapped under the stone needs to be reached without being broken." So he couldn't get to it by beating it with a hammer. "But there's no need for you to stay in our humble city. Once this is done, I'll place it in Miss Sahara's PC." Still, he feels terrible that she came all this way and wasn't going to get what she came for.

"Here." Zelkova reaches into his pocket and removes his wallet, removing a small amount of money. "Why don't you buy the two of you a nice lunch on the way back?" 00Hoot cries happily at the professor's decision. It gives Avery a tiny nuzzle before flying back onto Zelkova's shoulder.

  • Hikari hugged Harp out of joy as the Poke ball clicked, signifying that the Pokemon was caught. She then walked over and picked up the Poke ball. She opened it, causing the injured Deerling to come out. "Luckily for you, I had just one more of these…" Hikari said as she reached into her bag. She then pulled out a Rawst Berry and fed it to her new Pokemon.
Deerling was cured of its burn!
Hikari then took out her Pokedex and analyzed her new Pokemon.
"Female, Sap Sipper… And you can use… Tackle, Camouflage, Moonlight, Sand Attack, and Double Kick." She said as she pet her new Pokemon. Hikari then put away her Pokedex, "Ok! I'm going to call you… Aeris!" The Deerling looked at Hikari quizzically, and then nodded in agreement to the new name. Hikari hugged Aeris, "I'm glad you like it!"

Hikari turned to look at Harp. "Right! You haven't met my Pokemon! Well, you just saw me catch Aeris." She gestured to the Deerling, "and this here Charamander," she said while gesturing to the fire lizard, "Is Chara! I've raised her since she hatched from an egg… Say hi, Chara!"
"Char!" Said Chara to Harp. Hikari blushed a little, 'I hope I'm not being a show off… I just want to impress her…' She thought and said at the same time. Hikari stopped as she realized what she had done. "I… Said that out loud, didn't I?"

  • Silent Hills:
    Melodies of Gandala (IC)
As the name suggests, there isn't a whole lot going on in this small town. It serves mostly as a retirement community for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of inner Gandala, as well as a quaint, safe place for newlyweds to start their families. There is a Pokémon center, though it's about half the size of your general center, and while it does not have a connecting Pokémart, there is a small Mom-n-Pop style stand that sells trainer items near the city exit. Many new trainers are grateful for the tiny stand, as the items sold here are significantly less expensive than those sold at chain stores.

    What's happening:
For a place called Silent Hills, it sure isn't silent right now. One of the first things trainers see upon entering the city from Capitol Road is the Liron house; home to Doctor Liron, an archeologist, his wife, the town's nurse Joy, and daughter Harp. This house wouldn't be the least bit interesting…if it wasn't smoking.
Indeed, smoke is quickly flowing from houses windows (all of which seem to have been smashed) as well as the door, which appears to have been blown right off its hinges.
Officer Jenny and crew are on the scene taking statements. Several citizens have come forth with reports of a white haired girl gazing at Joy Liron's garden before the house was broken into. Being such a small community, they are quick to say this girl does not live in Silent Hills.

    Objectives:
    Take on a mission (optional)
    Explore the town (optional)
    Proceed to Route 2
    Missions:
(you may state your interest in a mission in the ooc)

    1. CHERYL! – A little girl by the name of Cheryl has gone missing. Maybe she's hiding from the thieves? Help her father find her. Reward: Upon Cheryl's safe return, her father will offer to teach one of your Pokémon Return.

    2. Pyramid Head?! – Some locals have been talking about a ghostly figure wearing a terrifying mask and peering through windows at night. Think you can find out what this mysterious creature is? (Spoiler alert, it's a Yamask) Reward: Chance to capture Yamask

    3. Follow that Thief! - Harp catches sight of the white haired girl that was seen outside her house right before it was robbed. Team up to help her track down the thief! Reward: A fossil of your choosing.

    4. Rival Trill Wants to Battle! – Coming off the rugged path is Trill: An excitable new trainer who wants to battle everyone in her path. Battle her and her Pichu. Reward: Evolution Token. (This is not a physical item, it is basically a notch in your Pokémon's belt towards its next evolution. Most Pokémon will be able to evolve after receiving 3 – 5 evolution tokens (depending on species. Bug types and other early evolutions will likely only need one or two.)

    Pichu (male) Ability: Static

    Moveset:
    Spoiler:

    5. Rival Rhetto would like to battle! – Coming off the well-traveled path is Rhetto: A shy new trainer that seems about as sure of himself as a Caterpie staring down a Heatran. He doesn't look like much, but he does have a Shiny Porygon, and that's got to be worth battling, right? Reward: Evolution Token. (This is not a physical item, it is basically a notch in your Pokémon's belt towards its next evolution. Most Pokémon will be able to evolve after receiving 3 – 5 evolution tokens (depending on species. Bug types and other early evolutions will likely only need one or two.)

    Porygon (unknown gender) Ability: Download

    Route 2:

Leaving Silent Hills leads trainers to quite a long route, which locals have divided into three parts.

The hillside: The hillside is the first section of route 2, as named by the locals. This area is comprised of hilly grassland and many flowers, but few trees.
    Spoiler:

The slingshot: The slingshot is the second section of route 2, as named by the locals. This is the longest 'section' of the route, and is comprised of thick, tall trees that cast the area in constant shade. The 'slingshot' is a reference to a fork in the road created by the trees.
    Spoiler:

The left side seems to be favored and easier to travel; going this way will likely lead to more beginning trainers, as well as dropped items left behind by those more eager. The right side seems somehow darker, with taller grass and thicker trees making it hard to see too far inward; going this way is a good way to avoid most trainers, though if you do encounter someone, it's likely to be a difficult fight. Due to the lack of people passing through, berry and apricorn trees are ripe for the picking.

The Clearing: The clearing is the third section of route 2, as well as the part that connects the route to Feathermoon city. The area is flat grassland, being home to several trees as well as a pond that serves as the watering hole for the Pokémon that reside within the route.
