[ASM & Hex] Expand FR's regional dex from 151 to 168

How should I do that? I found a lot of tutorials to expand National Dex but none for the regional one.

There's some stuff in this post, but other than that (to my knowledge), nobody has really tried to increase the Regional Dex since just using the National Dex is easier.

I'm using this routine and I can confirm this is for regional Dex. Expanding national dex is a different process.

It's a fairly simple edit (for less than 255 pokemon).
First convert your desired number to hex. In your case, 168 -> A8.
Now go to the following addresses:

0x10352C is originally 0x97 which is 151 in hex. Change to 0xA8.
0x1035F6 is originally 0x96 which is (151 - 1) in hex. Change to (0xA8 - 1) or 0xA7.

That should do it. Credit to Jambo51 for his Pokedex Expansion research.

I finally made the regional dex with all the first 251 mons.

The list is displaying correctly but the "seen" and "owned" sections on the homepage still show 151. How do I change that? Thanks!

How does one go about actually reducing the national dex

It's possible to make the game (Prof Oak and the Diploma Guy) consider your Pokédex complete when you caught 251 mons?
