I always seem to have those weird issues man.

Ok, so adding in hidden items through A-Map have been going just fine so far. But for some reason, they just completely stop working after 40. Hidden items #0-39 work as intended, but the ones after that I can't even interact with. I'm not sure what the issue is tbh. If it helps, I'm using the 05 Hidden Item option, and not 06 or 07. Unsure if that makes a difference. There can't be a limit, right? I've seen in a clean FR rom that it goes up to at least 72. Heff hee fwee!

EDIT: Ok, so I figured out that Hidden ID is actually in hex, and I can also use xA-xF as well. I can't believe I never realized that. Also, it seems that hidden IDs #40-43 are the ones that don't work at all. I changed those specific ones to 44 and up and those seem to work. 44-45 work, but 46-49 don't. I guess my main issue is solved for now as I can just tiptoe around the IDs that don't work, but I do have a new question:

Why is it like that? Is there maybe a list of Hidden IDs somewhere that show which ones work and which don't?

It is just limited because it is reading the vanilla FireRed/Emerald list. Just like when you expand the number of Pokémon, you have to go to a certain offset and change the value there to make A-Map read the expanded Pokémon. And if the "Hidden Item" command isn't working, you can use an XSE script to give it to the player.

I haven't expanded anything pertaining to items however, so there's no need to change any offset like with expanded Pokemon. I'm using a base where every event is wiped, so there shouldn't be an issue with identical Hidden IDs either. XSE scripts to give items like with Poke Ball OWs are a good alternative as well, I'll keep it in mind if things get even sillier.

I see. Well, I guess the base maybe did not change the whole list.

    Check this thread.

This is exactly what I needed. Now it makes perfect sense why certain IDs don't work. Thanks for pointing me there, I'll have to bookmark it for future use!

I'll mark this as solved now.

~In case anyone else may have this issue in the future:~
From what I was able to understand, certain hidden items seem to just not spawn at all unless a specific thing is done/flag is set.
