"A casual and wacky JRPG Moemon experience of Moemons catching Moemons."


What is Moemon Bonds?

Basically, it's a 100% Moemon world with Moemons in brand new world/ environment living like humans.


STORY:
By the power of the whimsy MOEMON GODDESS, you - (an amnesiac and clueless MOEMON Latios berry-picker in your teens)
were given a hellish curse. In order to get rid of this curse, you must abide by her every will. She told you, you must go on a moemon POACHING journey and stop the chosen one at all costs. Though, you must also persuade and relieve the hearts of the many MOEMONS she said.

Tread the path of the white shadows. Form bonds with your MOEMON companions you had MOENAPPED?! Unveil mysteries and secrets in this world of modernized MOEMON. Be the rival and bar the chosen one's tracks.

BUGS:

---No Pokedex you ask?
(FIX: Pokedex isn't intended for this moemon-only world.)

---When single battling a wild moemon, another one might pop out when you defeat the moemon(low % chance.)
(FIX: Just fight the second wild mon normally.)

---A certain moemon fight appear to be buggy

---Sometimes, evented battles' pre-battle mugshots don't appear as intended.

---Sometimes, when loading through a savestate, your first mon won't use a move at first turn.
(FIX: Fight a wild moemon first before heading to a non-wild battle.)

---DISABLE/REFLECT/LIGHT SCREEN/ANGEL GUARD/LIGHT SHIELD move causes glitchy text but not crucially game-breaking(must be because of the extended and overwritten movesets code)
(FIX: Wait for the move dialogue to finish and the battle will continue normally.)

---DITTOs might appear in your slot when you enter the indoor pool if you didn't arrange your team properly(thankfully, they just temporarily replace the images and they'll revert back to your actual moemon when you leave the pool)
(FIX: Always put LANIA at first slot and MIO at 2nd slot before entering the MOE POOL. Until I found a way to silently force order your team :v)

---Teleporting Follow me event character at entry?
(FIX: It's an intended glitch to fix the limited capabilities of following characters.)

---Following event character goes offway when mashing directional buttons too quick, while a textbox is still visible or at map entry.
(FIX: Exit the area to restore Following character's direction)
(FIX2: Just please don't mash directional buttons simultaneously, Followers here don't like multitasking :v)

---Cutscenes and dialogues in dynamic caves take longer to load, in order to avoid unnecesary glitches.
(FIX: Just have patience...)

---Releasing your starters will cause undesirable effects(I MEAN WHY WOULD YOU RELEASE THESE CUTIES!)
(FIX: Just don't release these cuties for the love of the MOEMON GODDESS! THEY AREN'T USELESS!)

---Attempting to obtain Exxegcute, Exeggutor, Cubone, Marowak or any of the few UNOBTAINABLE LEGENDARY moemon illegally will cause unprecedent effects(Thus they are unobtainable.)
(FIX: NONE...as of this moement)

---Dialogue errors and gramatical errors?
(FIX: English isn't my mother tongue but I do hope it'll be atleast understandable and clear even for young ones.)

---Unchanged cries...
(For now cries remain unchanged. Until I find a working tool on my old pc to change pokemon cries.)

---Missing Moemon/Pokemon icons?
(Roster of mons aren't yet finalized and I don't have the other pokemon icon sprites beyond gen6+)

---Custom and awkward moves animations cause unprecedent effect animations?
(FIX: I advise you to turn OFF battle animations for now.)

--Losing in an event battle and then fighting a wild moemon causes a game-breaking bug.
(FIX: DO NOT SAVE when you did this process. It is advisable to restart your emulator and reload your last save file before the event battle. The next major patch will fix this critical bug.)

Beta V1.1.0 underway.

If you're having a hard time leveling, here are some tips:

  • At Floria village, there is someone hidden behind the trees who can help you to levelup your moemons fast, for a specific requirement.
  • At Silverwing village, there is another one looking eastward into the horizon who can level up your moemons faster than before, at a cost of a higher requirement.

Sorry terrible bad english, Please, can you remove from the start that thing about the berries creation and to give one berry for each girl that we meet in the way ? that is SO BORING. The creations of common berries is boring, we are forced to walk to create a berry and just one step wrong the red hair girl eat the berry and we need to start over... I just wanted to go around and see moemon girls battles and capture random moemon girls... I do not want to produce berries... I started to make a gameplay for my youtube channel, but, the start was so boring that I gave up and removed the video from my twitch and my youtube channel... I really think that this common berry creation feature makes your hack the worse moemon hack even created until today, but I guess If you remove totally from the game it you can make this best moemon game ever created. Just focus in moemon battles and moemon capture and forget about berries creation, please. Thank you very much.

Noted, on the next beta version, I already have plans to turn that minisidequest not mandatory anymore. As well fixing and scaling down tedious puzzle quests.

Hi, how do you even progress in the flower shop? I don't get what the clues are telling me. Something about the music by stepping into the buttons, but I tried many combinations and it still doesn't work? Great hack otherwise.
HINT:
Spoiler:

Hint: At Floria flower shop, there are hubs that look like small houses. Stepping inside them has a chance to cause a white flash and make a berry to the nearby berry pot.

Hint 2: The pot barriers need 2pcs of berries from the pots that are just next to the hubs. (There are 3 kinds you'll need by the way.)

Also, I have plans to downscale the tediousness of this vague puzzlegame as well.

Thanks, I didn't realise those where berry pots that I can get berries from

but when I put the berries in, the music just plays non stop and the screen flashes continuously, what's happening?
the music just continued to loop non-stop? I mean the screen flashing and music plays non-stop is intended but it should end soon and open a path.

what are berries used for in this game? Apart from the healing/status healing ones I mean

These are used to increase bond points drastically(better than give headpats.) Since you'll need 'em points in the latter areas(not mandatory by the way).

You get these from hiding moesummoners(moetrainers) called Idlers. These idlers love to hide at villages, cities, towns. Also, fighting these Idlers can give exponential amount of exp points(used for fast leveling up) at the cost of money whilst requiring a certain amount of Bond points so your partner won't bug you about the Idlers. And yes, you can fight them as long as you'd like.



Use of data frag:

These are used on Moestatues. Once used on Moestatues, Moestatues will reveal the wild Moemon around the vicinity(if the moestatue is at route A-1, it'll show the catchable wild moemons there.

so no moemon can evolve right now right? Is there a point in training the wild ones caught over Lania and Mio?
There is, for backups atleast. Having backups is good too since items cannot be used in battle. And most of the enemies can knock these two out frequently.
