Kay we'll start off with the css colouring. Red text = bad, maybe a lighter peach/light red colour would be more appropriate, because red on black is eyekill. Now for the banner itself. It seems to lack a visible border, which isn't good, cause it defs needs one because the red just ends suddenly. Maybe a lighter colour black so it can transition in like #121212, iirc. The black fade in/fade out thing, no... the sides kind of leave little room for the banner. Also, noting that the text ON the banner doesn't really match it, it stands out too much. It would fit in much better if it was actually within the banner, which would be better if there was more red area to put the text on. Also, one colour = no. You need a combination of colours otherwise it's dull for the eyes, I'm thinking brown might go nicely, but the blue hair just kind of sets that off, so in which case, maybe a better render. Also, the render actually looks better, still a little too bright, but it looks like it matches the background (which btw, needs one light source, since atm, there's about three and it makes the eyes dart around. However, effects used are pretty good, but... it's just the lighting and colouring that kills it, really. The avatar doesn't match the banner at all, which makes it look awkward, too.

Well...I said I liked the effects!

Either way yeah this is what I've pretty much figured out from what I have seen in graphics over my time from PC and what goes.. and what doesn't. XD;

Though with me I try to stick to colouring, since it's just less work and won't be judged as critically. Icons/Avatar things though I don't do since it's kind of complicated, although simple... XD;

I'll try and improve it. But yeah, for the time being, I'll just stick with this one. Even though it might be horrible. ;;
