Florida is tropical at the shores and down south. More inland (like Central Florida, where I live) is less tropical.

Some places in the US has cold winters. like alaska, and the states that are close to canada. and colorado.
 
177698. The more extreme weather usually happens in the heartland of America because of less atmospheric pressure from being near the ocean. Kansan and Dakotan weather can be quite cold as I hear. Southern Ontario is nothing compared to them.

Actually this last winter was in the top 10 of coldest in Florida. I found that to be absurd!
