Well, well well. This comic is gaining a lot of hype, but I have to put my two cents in. Btw, I have a lot more to complain about (Constructively of course) than praise, so be prepared:
- First off, TUP (Text under panel) is not the best style to use in comics IMO. I found that using speechbubbles shows extra effort on the author's part, and the presentation is somewhat better - I mean, you don't see comic artists over the world writing everything underneath the panels do you? Just a recommendation on my part.
- Layout of the comics is decent enough - a little big, but that's cool. The heading is a well done piece of pixel art I must admit. My next problem is how the first post is set out - I don't think having the bios above the comic is smart - what if a new reader comes by, and those bios are loaded with spoilers maybe. They read it, and it just kinda ruins it. I would suggest either putting them down on the post, or putting a Spoiler Warning tag around them.
- Sprites: Nothing horrible, nothing horribly original. Mainly just recolours of paste jobs, maybe some quick pixel removing - nothing groundbreaking. Okay, my next problem is the mixing of generations and Pokemon scaling. As in mixing of generations, I mean mixing RS with FRLG sprites. The styles don't really match, and things might look better with one style. As for Pokemon scaling, I noticed in Comic 6 that a Whismur, Magikarp, Porygon, Dusclops, Staryu and Skitty were bigger than the character's sprites and then some. My suggestion is too make the people bigger (As in zoom in), and the Pokemon stay the same size as before, making them appear smaller than the characters.
- Next one: Humour... is a little off, if I touched apon what Arceus123 said, I'd say that it needs work, mostly relying on the crude (yet unfunny) kind. The 4th wall humour (Characters using words like panel, author and comic - as if they know they're in a comic) is kind of unoriginal nowadays, and is kind of lame.
- Grammar and Spelling: I'd have to score you down for this one. Spelling mistakes kind of appear at least once in your comics at some point, I've noticed a few times when you double-typed one letter and you use chatspeak occasionally. Simple little mistakes fixed by turning on spell check in Word, or buying a dictionary. :D
- Storyline/Plot: Original enough, if not slightly misguided and random. It's too early to say yet, because I don't know if this is supposed to be random and funny, some kind of obscure storyline, or a journey comic. The characters aren't too 3-D yet, but it's still early days, and I can't judge so quickly (Although I have already).
- Final verdict: Hard to tell. The kind of bad parts seem to overule the kind of good parts, and this is like your 10th comic... So I voted the "Kinda bad for my taste" category in the poll. Keep it up, if you're up to it.
