What part of Gen IV's games' storylines was the most epic? Sad? Funny?
Hmm, tough question. I find it pretty hard to pick out stuff like the aforementioned out of the plots of Pokémon games, as most, if not all of them, are pretty vague emotionally. It's not like the anime where they aim at emotionally affecting us through certain parts.
Though anyways, I'll try and answer as good as I can.
The most epic part of the story has to be the battle atop Mount Coronet. I feel like the "beating evil team then proceedingly catching version legendary" part was greatly improved from the third generation games, as the part was, well, more epic than the previous games.
I couldn't really recall any sad parts in the story, because, as I mentioned before, it doesn't really affect my emotions in any way.
Same pretty much goes with any funny parts in the storyline, as they're usually pretty serious. Small, amusing sequences though, are usually found scattered around the region, so it doesn't exactly leave it out, however for the main plot, I can't recall anything even remotely funny.
