Why do you all think Riolu is cute? I think it looks annoying D: It's so "Oh I'm tiny but I can still kick your butt!" even though it's all weak and whimpy :c I do like its face though, that is quite cute x] Do you guys use Lucario much in battle? ;o

I did use a Lucario on my Platinum team, he was alright.

I'll join! I was a member before and this club is sure fun!

Name: miltankRancher
Partner Pokemon: Goku the Infernape
Reason for Joining: Gen IV is my most favorite gen so far. It had introduced so many new things in Pokemon gaming that it is so hard for me to hate it. Plus, awesome Pokemon were made. I could go on forever with this list. I love Mt. Coronet, I love the three starters, I love Crasher Wake, I love Cynthia, I love Rowan, i love the pixies, I love Lake Acuity, I love the spelling of Sunyshore, I love training with the stat trainers, I love the frontier, etc.
What is your favourite Gen IV Pokemon & Why?: So many awesome Pokemon introduced this gen, but I will go with the burning ape monkey! It has an awesome design, plus wide movepool. Plus it is a burning monkey! Infernape!

Hi mR, welcome to the club! c: So I can see why you chose the 'burning ape monkey' as your partner, it certainly is one heck of a Pokemon xD Your list of things you like about the Generation is hilarious, especially the spelling of 'Sunyshore' xD And Crasher Wake omg, love him! He uses Floatzel as his main Pokemon so lots of love there <333 Why not answer a topic or two and chill? c: Speaking of which, time for a new one!

New topic: Which is your favourite Gen IV gym leader & why? (Includes D/P/Pt & HG/SS)

I know I say this for every topic, but its a really hard choice to choose :x I love Byron 'cos he uses Bronzor and lets that Pokemon shine; I love Crasher 'cos he uses Floatzel which evolves from my favourite Pokemon; and I love Candice 'cos she's got Key Eye! xD But yeah, team-wise I'm going with Byron since his team is intuitive and unique whilst featuring some of my all-time favourite Pokemon; plus I love Steel types <3 As for personality/likeability though, he rates pretty low, so I'm going with Candice for that. She's so perky and loveable and she just makes me think she'll be great fun to meet and talk to. Plus Ice types are another favourite of mine, so it's convenient there too. x]

(Btw new PotW is up!)

Time to answer some topics!

Which is your favorite Sinnoh legendary?

Touch choice. Design-wise, I like Shaymin and Manaphy, as they are cute little Pokemon. However, in terms of usability, I would probably go with Heatran (though i really dislike that volcano's design) and Darkrai. Let's see...

I would go with Darkrai, as it is really an awesome Pokemon!

Which is your favorite Gym Leader?

This is an easier question! Crasher Wake, of course! I love his personality, his design, his team, everything! He is the master of Pokemon and song (or somethings like that) And he seems really protective of Pastoria City, unlike other Gym Leaders who were not shown outside their gyms.\

For the quiz:

Bronzor/Bronzong learns Safeguard at level 30.

Which is your favourite Gen IV gym leader & why?
Volkner. I'm not exactly sure why, but he was just the one who caught my attention, probably because of his desire to battle with someone that can spark his interest back or something.

Seems like a lot of people love Volkner o3o Understandably I must add! So we need a new PotW soon, what Pokemon do you guys think deserves that position? :D

Might I suggest

Gastrodon

In the eve of BW, many fourth gen Pokemon had lost their spot in the limelight. Azelf, Bronzong, Dusknoir, Electivire, Empoleon, Hippowdon to name a few. However, Gastrodon with his Storm Drain draws all attention back to him, allowing him to rise from the deep ocean to the higher seas, in the OU department along with other Pokemon pirate kings. Not only does it rise, it almost outclassed Swampert, an equally great pirate pokemon in usage. I think this sea slug deserves its respect, showing that through determination, one can rise above others. :)

Gastrodon is one of the Pokémon I've never really paid any attention to, but alas, that could be extended to most Gen IV and Gen V Pokémon, sadly enough. The fourth generation games were, though one of the most entertaining games I've played, some of the Pokémon games that I've played the least of all, out of the ones I actually have played. Which is why there are many Pokémon from that generation that I hardly even remember anything about. Same could be said to Gen V, which I haven't even played any games from at all.

Though back to the subject at hand. I'd say Gastrodon would be a fitting Pokémon for PotW, if you say it is one of the Gen IV Pokémon with a bit of fame left. :D

Gastrodon is interesting and certainly a decent attacker, but I can't honestly say it's that special... And I certainly wouldn't say it's very symbolic of Gen IV lol D: I think of things like Lucario, Piplup, Bronzor, Chatot, Pachirisu, Drifloon, Probopass, Palkia, Mesprit, Buneary, Shinx, those kinds of things with Gen IV. But maybe I'm wrong lol. Which brings us to a new topic!

Which Pokemon do you think is most symbolic of Gen IV?

Imo, it's Lucario. That's the main Pokemon used to advertise the fourth generation (alongside Munchlax and Weavile) and it was amongst the first to be shown publicly. I think it's a big fan favourite and a lot of people love to use it in battles, especially in the fourth generation, and it was a hugely unique Pokemon what with being a special fighting type and having a very interesting type combo. So yeah, for me the answer is Lucario c: What do you guys think?

Which Pokemon do you think is most symbolic of Gen IV?

Hands down agreed that its Lucario. For one, he does have his own movie, with the mystery of Mew. Not only that, he just looks interesting and real good in design. I know a few who doesn't like him, but he does have a wide and massive fan-pool. He's the best face to have. Even more so than Arceus, who is a bore.

Lucario obviously, it's even one of the most iconic Pokemon today.

I mean, I see so many users on PC admiring Lucario plus it also learns the rare Aura Sphere move, referring to its association with Aura.

Which Pokemon do you think is most symbolic of Gen IV?

Most definitely Lucario. Except for Munchlax, Lucario was the first Sinnoh Pokémon we got to see prior to its release, so that's quite enough for people to associate Sinnoh with Lucario. Also, Lucario was the star of the movie where they made the change from Hoenn to Sinnoh, so that just makes it more obvious.

Though I see it differently than I do with Unova. I mean, even though it was kinda the same with Zorua and Zoroark in the movie for B/W, I don't really think of them whenever I think Unova. But meh, that might just be me?

I love Gen IV! Yaaay

Name: droomph
Partner Pokemon: Turtwig. TURTWIG. WHAT THE ****
Reason for Joining: Grovyle Ummmm...this time, it's Turtwig. And just because.
What is your favourite Gen IV Pokemon & Why?: Turtwig, because just....squeeeeeee I love the design. It's my second-favorite Pokémon (After Grovyle duhhh) but it's pretty much the reason I love Gen IV, along with Lucario and Piplup. (I'm so generic)

Which Pokemon do you think is most symbolic of Gen IV?

Ummmmmmmmm...

I'd say Lucario. Because...that's all I can think of. They pushed it in our heads, and iirc Lucario was introduced 2 seasons early! That's unlike Zorua & Bros., who got shown, what, two weeks early? So definitely, Lucario is the mascot of Gen IV, because people were anticipating it for so long, it got burned into their heads.

Also Munchlax too, but it's not like they ADVERTISE ADVERTISE ADVERTISED Munchlax, because he debuted in an episode with berries and boooring, while Lucario is like "HEY GUYS, LOOK! LUCARIO. YESSSS, LUCARIO..."

Lucario, definitely. I would say Infernape, but that would be far too biased in my part, and it definitely makes no sense. However, Lucario and his iconic trainer, Sir Aaron, is definitely one of the images people think of about Sinnoh, alongside with the starters, the legendary trio, and Rowan.

Another plus is Lucario is revealed a lot earlier than the other Pokemon.

Okay, it's been days and we're in need of some fresh new activity~

So!

What part of Gen IV's game's storylines was the most epic? Sad? Funny?

I'll answer this later...I need to think about it too.

I can't answer the sad/funny part, but I can answer the epic part.

When coming upon to battle Dialga, I love the Roar of Time scenery being used outside of battle by it. This being in Diamond of course. It was amazing! I don't know how it looks in Pearl with Palkia however. I'm sure it used Spacial Rend, right? That game got stolen before I even got to it -_-

Anyways, that whole battle aspect was just amazing. Facing Team Galactic's boss and Dialga back to back (And another battle of Team Galactic's leader before the boss I think right?) was very exciting.
