Why do you think the awesome people at the Pokemon Company chose fire, water, and electric instead of fire, water, and grass for the first eeveelutions? (cause grass, fire, and water ARE the three main types)

I think we were talking about this a little while ago, but it wasn't in a topic form, though. But yes, it is odd. It puts Flareon at a bit of a disadvantage, doesn't it?

let's see the trio in current Eeveelution:
Vaporeon:
~ Effective again Flareon
~ Lost to Jolteon, Leafeon (it could ice beam though)
~ Normal to eevee, Espeon, Umbreon
~ Advantage to Glaceon (Vappy's attack normal while glacy's Not very effective)

Flareon:
~ Effective Again Leafeon and Glaceon (But Glacy could learn water pulse...)
~ Lost To Vaporeon
~ Normal Again Eevee, Espeon, Jolteon, Umbreon

Jolteon:
~ Effective again Vaporeon
~ Normal Again Flareon, Glaceon, Eevee, Umbreon, Espeon
~ Disadvantade again Leafeon (Jolty's attack not very effective while Leafy's attack normal)

Now Flarey get 2 new target while Jolty and Vappy get new threat

Still Jolty type(electric) is the worse and best. Best for only lose to ground, worse for electric type only have crappy moveset, At least eeveelutions could learn shadow ball though

The Electric type is one of two types which only has one weakness, but of course they make up for that with the fact thier attacks are resisted by quite a few types. Jolteon is one that makes a good lead-off pokemon ususally I find.

The other being normal right? And with some electric could learn electrolevitate It make it has "no weakness". I wonder why Jolteon couldn't learn that. Volt Absorb is awesome, but only when switching in, No one will attack with electric after all, so electrolevitate would nice and when it's switch out it will be volt absorb again and can be used to switch in again electric type again

Maybe some want and some don't. I would like dragon type to complete Spesial (until 3rd gen) eevee. Because the second had already n pair, day and night (Espy and Umby). Don't know why they didn't addLeafeon and glaceon at hoenn. They could do that at shoal cave and the tall grass between fortree to sadary zone
