The green blob and the purple blob. I like them. Gulpin and Swalot are pretty amazing in their own way. One time, I lost three Pokemon to one Swalot in Emerald, but I was in third grade. I think that Game Freak should put Swalot in a gym leader's party. Mainly just because I think it's funny, but Swalot is a strong Pokemon.

Swalot is a neat pokemon (though Muk could achieve more.) I have never had any experience with swalot, except that I always skip Swalot whenever I see a rental Swalot in the Battle Arena. Never tried using it though.

When I first look at Gulpin - or when most people think of gulpin - we think derp. I mean it doesn't appear to be a bright pokemon, and nor all that useful and really, the bottomline is most of the time it isn't. But with the right moves it can be quite the formiddable opponent early in games and especially when evolved.

To be honest I don't like Swalot as much as Gulpin simply because Gulpin was a little cuttie, now Swalot is a massive purple blob of flubba. Nevertheless, like I stated beforehand, with the right moed it can become a pretty good team members, especially with its moustache. (Probably noodles, pffft; designers! ;o;)

Hmm... Swalot have never given me any impression, except from its appearance. LOL. I doubt I would even like it when I use one. Probably going to make it in my mono-poison run in Emerald in the future.

Swalot has always been looked upon as a lesser version of Muk, as with its lower HP and Special Defense stats, along with certain key moves missing from its moveset, it is quite easy to make this mistake. However, it does have more balanced defenses and a greater supporting movepool with access to Encore, which makes it a much better mixed wall than the purple slime could ever hope to be. Although its lack of resistances make it hard to wall certain foes, the Purple Bag Pokemon is an underrated threat that can whip up a storm in UU.

by Smogon.

Hmm... I guess its access to Encore is a neat thing, as it can trap a Pokemon 4-8 turns with a Swords Dance. Other than that, I see nothing special.

I think its quite useful if it can whip up a storm in UU.

If teams in UU are not prepared. Honestly, aside from the annoying encore, I think Swalot would not wreak much havoc on a team, unless it is really a suckish team.

I disagree! After having used a Swalot in my current Hoenn play through, it's far stronger than expected. And with access to moves such as Toxic, Stockpile and Swallow, this Pokémon really is built to outlast. The only problem is facing non-steal types as the only good non-poison move I seem to be able to find is Body Slam... But I'm sure it can probably learn something to take them down! I think a Curse set could be interesting on it too... As for the moustache again; what?

Well, I just based all the things I said based on what i see, and from info I gather. I still have to change opinions once I can actually use a Swalot in battle.

Hmm.. Curse, eh? I think it is a good thing on swalot, considering as he has not that much of Speed to lose.

Name: Johnny18
Partner Pokemon: Excalibur the Beedrill
Reason for Joining: Poison types are sexy and dangerous. Their appearance can seem to be cute but with one touch and the victim will be "toxicated."

I agree mR! Hmm, seems like we're done with the current topic, so let's make a new one!

New topic: 'If you could become a Poison type specialist for the Elite 4, what would your team be?'

I love Pokemon-team assembling.

Mine would probably be:

Crobat would be included because it is my favorite. Anybody having a problem with that?

Gengar because he is too cool. Plus, access to Shadow Ball to counter those psychic types is awesoME.

Tentacuel is a good lead with Toxic Spikes. :z

Roserade is just beautiful.

Drapion for sheer power. Earthquake and Crunch for the win.

Toxicroak for spot-filler. Cross Chop is a good phsical move, especially when coupled with a Swords Dance.

yup yup.

My team would be the same except I will exchange Roserade to Venomoth. Venomoth is a beauty (especially with a shiny form). It can substitute, quiver dance as much as it can then baton pass to Gengar to sweep. It can also be assisted with the item red card which causes the opponent to be switched out immediately after one turn attack. :)

oh I think my team would probaly be the same one I used in fire red.

Crobat- speed freak
Venusaur- A strong status healer
Arbok- For being awesome
Gengar- The ghost to mess with minds
Tentacruel- For the water moves
Nidoking- Heavy physical attacks

But as it was from fire red its very first gen heavy. Drapion, Skuntank, Roserade and Scolipede from later gens all could easily feature on mine.

Interesting teams... I love all the Tentacruels going on! Personally I'd base my team more on favourites as most of the E4 seem to do... I'll list them from which will be weakest at the top to the strongest at the bottom since some Pokemon are always higher levels on their teams :3

Scolipede
Roserade
Garbodor
Swalot
Muk
Amoonguss

Amoonguss would be the strongest, my shining star. With Muk, Swalot and Garbodor all being the same level as each other, slightly lower then Amoongus. Then Scolipede and Roserade would share an again slightly lower level, making the two weaker Pokemon of the team. ^^ Together, this team would kick butt! And probably die easily. :D

As for me, my team would probably go like this.

Roserade
Roserade
Roserade
Roserade
Roserade
Roserade

Roserade
Garbodor
Drapion
Vileplume
Swalot
Crobat

I kinda really like Roserade, but for challenge's sake, I'm not going with only Roserades. Garbodor and Swalot are the funniest for me so I just put them on my team.

Paha, a whole team of Roserades, why not! Some Elite 4 members repeat their teams :o In that case if i had to have a team of all the same Pokemon, they'd have to be Muk B) Or maybe Amoonguss... Hard choice. ;; I think Amoonguss. :D

Yes, they would repeat, but only once. LOL. not a whole team.

but if I am to have a whole team of only one pokemon, i would have crobat. Six crobats. All with return. And then bow down.
