In D/P now, Growlithe learns more moves than Arcanine. If you evolve your Growlithe, all it can learn is Extremespeed, unless my memory has gone bad on me again.

TELEPORT? What would an Arcanine need Teleport for? XD
Can't imagine it doing that in the anime. "Arcanine, use Teleport!"

Bayleef will for sure. And there are loads more which I can't remember. Or am I wrong? I answered this based on TCGs.

I need to get with the times, Growlithe is on my want list to trade for. It is suprisingly hard to get one for any of the the 3rd or 4th Generation, requiring Fire Red to get it. Unfortunately, I don't have Fire Red so it joins my list of wants.

If I was desperate however, I can always train up one on my olde Yellow version. :D

An interesting fact. Arcanine could learn teleport on the colour versions (COMFIRMED)

Would it actually need to use Teleport at any point... it's fast enough to out-run a majority of things and teleporting away seems, useless.

What Pokemon do you think can match Arcanine's speed?
There are quite a few I can think of. Mainly Pokemon like, Garchomp and possibly Floatzel which are all speedy.

Another Arcanine? >D Basically: Garchomp, Sceptile...all the speedy Pokemon basically. Have you seen Gardenia's Naetoru? It can maybe match Arcanine's speed. XD

I personally didn't think that Bayleef would win that race in the "Extreme Pokemon" thing. I always thought Arcanine would be faster than a Bayleef. >:

A Pokemon which could match it's speed.. maybe some bird Pokemon like Staraphor. I think that Yanma/Yanmega is also a fast Pokemon.

Umm...I think Raquaza's speed stats are more than that of Arcanine's but Salamence is also good.

What Pokemon do you think can match Arcanine's speed?
Considering it seems to be directed not neceesarily based on the game. I believe that Rapidash (which is considered to be the fastest runner on the land!) could match Arcanine's speed, then again Arcanine does have Extreme Speed while Rapidash doesn't, so maybe Lucario can keep up with it while it uses Extreme Speed.

If its game-wise its an easy answer...anything with equal or greater speed stat.

@ Soulflame Ninetails~ I don't think it's to do with the games, more like the anime. Otherwise lots of Pokemon at higher levels could probably much the speed.

I don't remember that episode exactly, but wasn't TR and Gary getting lost or something the cause of it? XD

Bayleef isn't that fast looking... Arcanine is so much more streamline.

Ash rode a Rapidash/Ponyta in one episode in the anime, and Rapidash is pretty speedy. :3

TR were trying to steal the Arcanine, and they end up catching it and then Ash comes in to save the day, since only Bayleef and Arcanine were in the lead. And then Ash and Gary have a head-to-head sorta 'race' and Bayleef wins because it's head was like launched forward. >:
