but do any of you guys know how Sasuke awakened the mangekyou sharingan?

Well, according to the manga so far, when Itachi tapped Sasuke's head before he died, he temporarily transferred the Mangekyou Sharingan.

Sasuke's "awakening" of the MS caused him to fall behind Naruto as my favorite character in the series. It was so cheap.

Well, the new manga was pretty dissapointing

In order to explain why Itachi killed the clan, we must have a flashback to 80 years ago. WTF!? Is it that complicated? All we learned is that Itachi killed the clan in the orders of the Hokage. And the Fangirls got to see Sasuke tied up

I was praying that this explanation didn't last more than a chapter but as usual, the manga only bring disappointment. Why is Sasuke even listening to this crap? It's completely contradictory to his character.

What's wrong with having a flashback? Those always add so much depth to the plot..

Yeah, I do enjoy a flashback here and there, but I think that Naruto does have a bit too many, especially when the flashback occured 3 episodes ago.

Like classicrockfan said, the problem with flashbacks in Naruto is that their way too many. The Itachi killing his clan flashback was like three chapters wrong, but this flashback is basically negating that entire thing by saying it was Itachi's fault.

I think naruto has to many flashbacks too.~
he needs to cut down a little.

Flashbacks are good for explaining things.

Good idea.

I definately think he cares! Some people think he's only doing all this to defeat his brother, but I think deep down he really cares about his entire family being dead.

Hmm. I really don't know. I am not even sure if he is accepting all (or any) of what Madara is saying.
But he will probably care when the entire story is told.

He might not show any emotion, is the problem, even if he feels it.
