Fig2. Click the copy button next to the actual palette. (The picture with no brush or x or arrows.) The colours should show up in the changed palette section. Edit the colours there. It should say below in my picture which colours are used for what. Edit these colours as much as you want. Try to keep them sensible and matching.

Click the replace button and your done. If you want to edit another palette next to the offset should be an arrow (>), that should automatically go to the next palette. You should be able to tell which one it is because of the colours. Open your rom in Advance Map and check the palettes are alright.

Awesome tutorial! This one actually works, and thanks to you, I now know Spriting, Scripting, Tile Editing, Mapping, AND Palette Editing!

Only one thing of this tutorial I didn't understand: How do you find your own offsets? (Such as the "E94352")

I'll post that up soon, it's also around the PC Aswell.
    It involves using VBA.

this is a real good tutorial helped me alot

its not the effect i wanted but its stting me on the way to do it.

    Thanks

Some people have been asking on how to find palettes like 8 and above.
This is one thing I don't really know, I beleive that theres something deeper with those palettes, cause they change from town to town. I beleive you would need to use the eyedropper and search for it. I can't explain this bit, sorry.

    I have a a lot of Offsets I've saved over time. I guess I can share! ;)

Give credit please? Hope this helps everyone! :)

can some 1 plz provide palettes offsets for the male hero like backsprites, overworld, picking male or female sprite, and battle sprite thank you in advance

    Dron3
When trying to find backsprites or overworlds, just use the eyedropper in APE and click search, make sure you use at least 6 colours. Keep trying until you find it, it shouldn't take that long.

Use Unzl and search the male/female sprite and there should be a pallete offset,
Copy that offset to APE and there should be the male's/female's palletes,
    and just edit em

what do u mean use at least 6 colors? do u mean search for 6 colors at once or do i use at least 6 colors in my custom overworlds?

I think I put this in the first post? Meh...

If your looking for overworld palettes, use the eyedropper and just to be sure, use six different colours to find your palette. If it's not the right one, try adding more.

I'll be updating the whole thread soon, but i'm busy :)

Your tutorial is cool, but i don't have the program. i want to hack my own Johto version from Emerald. can anyone help me get the program

I'd like to edit pallets from the advance generation to the next one(D/P). How do you find the offsets for the D/P sprites? Ican allready edit pallets with my PS(it's only 5, so pallet editing is not quite easy for me), but that's to much. I'd like to do it with APE, I only don't know exactly how:tired:

There are no offsets for D/P Pokemon, they aren't in GBA games, and there are no programs to find their offsets in D/P.

(I'm going to redo the thread soon, i'm doing it up in word)
