Thanks to Water Pokemon Master from www.pokebeach.com for the scan.

A bad card - use the Delta Species one instead.

    3/10

Why is this a bad card? Granted, you wouldn't want to use this card very much to attack in the middle of a battle. In the begining of the game, however, Skarmory's 60 HP combined with a first strike may land one or two solid blows to the defending pokemon.

60 HP, 2 retreat, no evolution, and the good attack requires Steel energy. Meh, it can wall out weaker pokes which can put you at a slight advantage early, but it all depends on coin tosses and 30 damage for a 3-energy attack isn't too hot, it will be completely trashed once the heavy-hitters enter the game and the retreat is too expensive. Meh, even when excluding the Ex sets (which contain several more useful skarms) this one doesn't look very useful. For once I actually agree with Solarys. This card's benefits don't really cover its weaknesses. 3/10

    Low HP.

1 Energy for a 50-50 chance of 20 damage when on some cards 1 energy gives you 100% chance of 20 damage.

The next attack 3 damge for 30 damge plus a 50-50 chance to save 20 damage from all attacks next turn.

    Not the best of cards.
    3.5/10

I would have to agree but being the time this card was released, it is pretty useful. Though it is more on the of a fun-card side.

    I give it a 6/10

Oh well... Not that good of a card...

HP is the usual for a non-evo Basic, the first attack is... just... lame... Even Base Set Rattata does 20 damage for C without coin flip!

The second attack, the only down is to have Metal energy in the cost. Cause preventing damage is pretty neat!

I still wouldn't want to throw one of these up front at the beginning if I didn't have any steel in hand, because if you don't draw or find steel, then you have a two retreat cost to grapple with. Like said before, many better cards exist.
