    Talk about anything about the hurricane season so we don't have to create a another topic for each hurricane.
     
    Good idea! Ivan's the newest. I feel bad for the people of Florida. It looks like it's going to head there... that would be 3 in a row! Thank god I live north.
     
    O_O yeah......*is watching all the storm warnings* scary....
     
    My school said we might not have classes cause of this. But since we are a private school in Broward I doubt they follow it. Three hurricanes in a row. Just pary that a fourth one won't come. I just noticed that each hurricane's name is named after each three letters, like A--B--C[Charlie]--D--E--F[Frances]--G--H--I[van]--J--K--L[???] wonder what???
    This is scary though.
     
    Yeah I just realized that....XD but they name all the tropical storm and hurricanes you just dont hear about em....

    I feel bad for anyone in puerto rico...ivan is really gonna mess it up isent it?
     
    Is it still a Cat. 5?? I didnt hear anything about it....
     
    It was upgraded to 5 last time I heard....
     
    Well its supposed to hit Florida as someone said in the other topic september 13.

    Yes I did. Why does it seem that everyone wants to point to F.L... were not the only ones it's trageting. o.O (such as Charlie, Frances hit other's) Anyways yes it was downgraded to 4, but meh... weither it goes back to 5 or not, still not something to be happy about. <_< meh.. Good thing my family left Jamaica.. Now we can get through this together. (that was mushy stuff o.O) BTW the A storm was Andrew as explained before.. it was one of the worse one's ever that hit us.

    I know someone who says he'll have to be evacuated because his house is on the Florida coast in Ivan's way? I hope he'll make it out okay?

    He posted some hurricane pics on his forum. I could hotlink them if you'd like.
     
    I feel sorry for the people of Grenada and Jamaica. It swept through them like it was child's play. Every building in Grenada got somewhat damage with Ivan's rampage... even the parlimentary buildings which were the most secure in the country. It'll take years for them to recover from this... my heart goes out to them.
    At least the people in Florida have a chance to run away, in the Caribbean, all flights have be cordoned off, and there are no boats leaving the islands... There was this one woman on the news from somewhere in America (she sounded Texan... I think) who said: "We're gonna ride the hurricane out... If it doesn't kill us, it'll make us stronger, and if it does... oh well" Yeah... of course a hurricane will make you stronger... stupid woman.
     
    I feel worse for the people in the Floridian Areas, but then again, its bad for us up here too since we get heavy winds and rain, but nothing compared to the people down there... My heart truly goes out to them.
     
    Yea... Just have to wait till monday to see how things turn out here... I'm so glad that storms dont freak me out much... I'm just gonna find something to do if it hits, and stay calm like I always do. (cant depend on my mom keeping me calm, that's for sure) Well I hope everyone else who goes through this, makes it in one peace. Just dont be like most people, and try to see how bad the storm really is.. <_< Cant tell you how many people wanted to go out like nothing was happening. (this is exactly why a surfer got locked up.. was out during the hurricane, and it was the curfew time for all of us obviously)

    There are quite a few people I know online who live in Florida and where as pretty much all of them seem alright I haven't seen any sign of one of my best online friends since Frances struck, I hope she's okay. She hasn't been on Deviant Art for a week O_o;
