1st - 2nd gen pokes

i think certin things should have a pre evolution or evolution. and i with the eevee evolutions i think that if they make a flying eevee or a dragon eevee it would be dumb because it doesnt work with making a fox fly

don't make a complaint thread!

Seriously, there are Pokemon from every generation I like, and some that I hate. I can't say for certain that I prefer one generation's Pokemon over another because there are good ones and bad ones in each.

With that said, most of the new evos introduced in fourth gen are poorly designed and none of the fifth generation Pokemon have really captured my interest yet.

when pokemon red & blue first came out. we were all excited.

the pokemon were based off real life animals and things ect..

the 2nd gen pokemon were even more amazing. i dont have to tell you guys that

but what i want to know is. do you guys feel like the pokemon got worse and worse over the new games. they keep getting more advanced and more i dont know.. but i think the first and 2nd gen were the best. and as they keep making new pokemon i honnestly think there getting more and more un-original..

anyone think the same?

I guess all i can say is what I said to the other guy from the other similar thread. Unless you play the new gen pokemon games, be the third, fourth, whichever, you'll never get used to them or start liking them, cause thats what happened to me when the III and IV gen games came. Also if you whatch the anime you will like them even more because it gives you a more in-depth perspective about each pokemon that appear, that works for me, and now i'm really starting to like the fourth gen pokemon and i love all the previous gens. However not everybody likes the anime. At the end is all up to you, i dont know how, but playing the new pokemon games is the safest option. And one thing is for sure, with each new gen of games, new interesting features in both gameplay and pokemon are added so playing the new games is always fun even if they are similar. However i do prefer pokemon that look more like animals rather than metal or too wierd shapes, so i hope they design more like these.

I will agree to disagree.

Some of the newer generation Pokemon are a little iffy.

But you have to take into consideration, there ARE many different types of birds in the world that are quite similar.

There are many legendary and mythical creatures in the real world, more so than that of the Pokemon world.

If I had it my way, Pokemon would have enough legend and myth to back up each continent.

Count Kanto and Johto as one continent with their 251 Pokemon.
Hoenn with its 135 Pokemon.
And Sinnoh with its 107 Pokemon.
And now, Isshu with its whatever number Pokemon.

Just because each new generation seems to ruin the last, you need to take into consideration that it's a different part of the world, with its own legends and myths, different beliefs to those on other continents in the Pokemon world.

Just because Arceus is said in The Legend of Sinnoh to have created the Universe, that is not to deter any other continent from having its own version of a "God" Pokemon.

Mew, for instance, is the ancestor or "all Pokemon".
This basically means Mew carries the genetic code for all of the Pokemon.
Mew may very well surpass Arceus. But we don't have a backing story big enough behind Mew because Pokemon was only getting off to a start back then.

Just as Ireland has Banshees and Chinese has Shang-Yang(Rain bird), Pokemon's different parts of the world will have their own mythological creatures.
Arceus being God is mostly a Sinnoh belief and does not really extend beyond that region.

Mew, in Kanto, is still believed to the most powerful and "God"-like Pokemon of its region.

So take it in your stride and just go with what I go with...
Each continent has its own belief systems, its own myths and legends.
Its own way of telling a story and representing us with new creatures.

I like to take each new generation and take it for what it has given us.
Different stories. Different adventures. Different creatures.
We shouldn't discriminate one against the other.

Although, in the hardest fan, this is a belief not easily taken on.
I've been with Pokemon since Day 1. And I will stick with it to Day Last.
This means supporting the newer generations as they come, no matter what.

But hey, that's just me. Each to their own, I say.

I found your way to see the pokemon world pretty interesting, i mean the stuff about the legends sourrounding pokemon and all that, its like the myths and legends from the real world in ancient civilization, and maybe this is were the pokemon creators inspirate to make all the pokemon legends and myths.

But even in the pokemon world like games and anime they dont say they're actually "true", they are just legends and myths (even if the pokemon do exist), so that's why each region has its own legends and myths, but they belong to civilizations that exited before the present ones, because if you hadn't noticed, in the pokemon world its always like if you were in the "future" or "present day" (that's why you got all those wonderful gadgets and pc's). For example, like the greeks, chineses, roman...So, for example, the fact that one region kinda says that this pokemon is their "God" (first of all a god pokemon sounds stupid and too exagerated don't you think?) it doesn't mean its true or a global belief in the pokemon world so another region could have a different version. But I wouldn't like there to be similar legends between regions, i prefer different kinds of legends otherwise it would be repetitive.

Anyway, oh and if what you guys want is to give an explanation to all those legends and why there are a lot of legendary pokemon, well first blame the creators, and then because they are harder to catch and maybe more powerful, not because there is necessarily a whole legend behind them, you can call them "special", "unique" or "bonus" pokemon. But whats the matter of being a lot legendary pokemon? I think its fun to catch them because that way it gives you more things to do, like at the end of R/S i thought the pokemon league was all but then i figured there was this sky pillar and i was like WOW, another place to explore and then at the end a huge pokemon to capture (but there was never a legend behind it, was it?).
