    I Just caught my first shiny in this game. a Drowzee on the patch of grass above the daycare under goldenrod. im in awe ^_^

    I really dont want a drowzee or hypno. so im probably willing to trade if the price is right

    Nice. Shinies have been especially rare for me. Brother caught a shiny nidorina in original gold version, cousin found a shiny rattata , but accidentally killed it. I Found a shiny ponyta on my leafgreen, but lent it to a friend and it got stolen. -.- had a legit deoxys from event on it too was p.o.ed
     
    yea in gold (original) i wasnt aware of shiny so i killed a nidoran and a pidgey. when i realized what they were i felt so dumb -__- and i think i take trading it back. i might want a hypno haha
     
    Funny because my first shiny ever was a purple Drowzee in that same area.

    haha thats awesome. i want to train it but i really dont know if hypno is in my future. im thinking alakazam. and that nidoran was actually pokemon yellow so couldnt tell X|
     
    When I was really little, I had a fear of legendary pokemon. So, when I saw a Shiny pidgy, I figured that it had something to do with Zapdos, since it was close to the powerplany, and killed it. Well, eleven years later and I still feel stupid about it );
     
    I want a shiny...
    I've met 2 in my life of pokemon. One was in the original silver where i saw a gold weedle but somehow i didnt get it... i think it was coz i accidently killed.
    The other was in ruby which was a shiny magnemite which i transfered to pearl and evolved it to a Magnezone. I don't know where its gone now though.
    My friend found a green golbat somewhere in SS. I was really jealous, until i saw it. XD
     
    I want a shiny too. I remeber once on my Ruby My Aunt desided to have a go and picked Torchic and guess what, it was shiny, but the battery ran out before I could get her to save it, I thought it was a glitch, an awesome glitch. Oh well. Maybe I'll have better luck on HG/SS.
     
    Lucky the one shiny into is a Abra. I felt like crying of course the one pokeball I launched at it before it teleported out didn't catch it.
     
    cool. The only shiny I've ever come across was tentacool in emerald. But i saw a lot of shiny tentacool on it, I thought it must be normal so didn't care. then I let my 'friend' 'borrow' my emerald, leafgreen and ruby. I miss those games
     
    Congrats. :) Brings back memories of my first ever shiny in Silver, which was a Pidgey just south of Ecruteak on my first Silver file. This was before I knew that shinies existed apart from Red Gyarados (we didn't have extensive internet databases of shiny sprites back in 2001, believe it or not :p), but I suspected that it was worth catching when I saw that it was a different colour to that of a regular Pidgey. Unfortunately my file with it and my shiny Geodude from Rock Tunnel corrupted.

    Maybe lightning will strike twice and i'll find them again in SoulSilver. ;)

    EmzStar: I feel for you. Reading that, made me remember when I was playing emerald and I hatched a shiny charmander. It was late at night, so I was, sleepy, trying to hatch charmander eggs. I thought I had saved the game immediately after hatching it, but I woke up with my GBA in my hand with the battery burned out. I was so sure I saved it, only to charge it up and find that I was wrong. XP
     
    This is getting somewhat off-topic, and recent events can be posted in the journal thread sticky. Too may posts to merge there though, so just going to close this.

    I shall make a shiny discussion thread though, as people would have the games now/soon and would want to discuss those if they get them I believe - but not about shiny Pokemon they got in other games like over here. =P
