I don't really like Yes but it's about time they got in tbh. or, like, any prog. I guess they're as good as any even though King Crimson's probably a better choice. ELO doesn't make a Huge amount of sense to me. Journey's at least a really big cultural thing even though I don't care for them. Pearl Jam again makes sense as a cultural thing but I'm not a huge fan of them (aside from the residuum of my Fanatic Love of them at age like 12). Tupac, again, cultural thing, not a huge fan of his music and think there are plenty of hip hop artists who could probably get this over him. Joan Baez I have no opinion on.

SO: pretty Classic R&R Hall Of Fame Reactions on my end.

Isn't being a big cultural thing part of how one gets in? I'll admit I know very little about this.

I have no problem with Joan Baez, ELO, and Journey. I mean, it's been decades since they each started making music (each since the 70s, I believe) so I think they've sort of earned it by this point, right? Never really listened to Yes, but I've heard of them so I assume they're in a similar spot.

yeah, that's what I was trying to say: I don't enjoy them personally but I understand why they'd be inducted given the cultural space they occupy.
