Long story short:
Welcome to the Counter Terrorist Unit of Kanto (CTU for short). This is where terrifying plots have been found out, where criminals have been brought after being arrested, where morality is often questioned, where most believe the ends justify the means, where justice doesn't always prevail, where you work and where thousands of heartbreaking, dramatic stories have taken place. What follows is one of these stories.
The time is 2:00 in the morning when you receive a call from your director, requesting you to get up and go to CTU's headquarters immediately. The reason for the wake-up call isn't given, but as soon as you get there, it is revealed that a terrorist called Joni Trabbioni has threatened to contaminate the waters of Cinnabar Island with a bacterial virus that will render all life within the sea divided between Cinnabar Island, Pallet Town and Fuschia City dead. He has listed a set of demands that he wants to be complied with, and has given the government an hour to come up with a response. This means that you have an hour to attempt to prevent the terrorist attack from taking place. This isn't a lot of time and you're already deprived of sleep, but the intensity factor rises as soon as you realise the threat Kanto is facing.
Rules:
Like Fox's hit television show, 24, events in this roleplay occur in real time. This means that if a post starts at 3:00 and ends at 3:07, the next post will commence at the time of 3:07 and so on. However, if you wish to make things really complicated, you can make two scenes happen at the same time, so your post and the post before are both 3:00 to 3:07. If you want to pull that off though, you're going to have to make sure there isn't any continuity errors. We want to make this as accurate as possible.
No posts can be longer than the duration of seven minutes. A lot can happen in one minute; we don't need to go overboard.
This roleplay starts at 3:00 and goes until 3:00 the next day. I assure you this sounds much easier than it is.
I have the feeling we'll need to contact each other a lot to keep this roleplay going, so if you feel like sending me and the rest of the crew a VM with your MSN address, that'd be cool.
And all the usual rules too, like no godmodding and whatnot.
Sign-Up Application Form:
Name: I know how difficult this must be, take as long as you want.
Age: Oh, even harder! Let's see, you're working and we assume you have some sort of qualification, so your age is around 22 – 50 or so. Questions or feel like breaking this rule for the hell of it? Contact me.
Gender: Micheal Jackson is not an answer.
Biography: Just a short history of your character, where he/she was born, where he/she went to school, how he/she ended up working for CTU.
Personality: How your character thinks and feels. Try not ending up as a clone of Jack Bauer.
Appearance: A picture isn't acceptable.
Position: What job does your character have at CTU? Second in command, third in command, field agent, desk agent, janitor, technical helper? Endless possibilities.
Of course, you're allowed to have up to three Pokemon as well, assuming your team doesn't consist of powerhouses such as Tyranitar and Dragonite.
Pokemon: Just the name and gender.
Nickname: Self-Explanatory.
How he/she was obtained: Four to five lines, nothing big.
It's going to be the longest day of your life.
