Well the problem with that is that there are only a select few people that actually know how to make a theme. Something like that would be kinda excluding which counteracts the whole point of this celebration.

No, because most of them know nothing about hacking, except probably Hiroshi Sotomura and a couple others. But even then, it's very exclusive as a main event and should be decided on by the Emulation mods to host one (though probably not, as they're extremely busy).

What about a simple creativity contest, in which members shall either physically or digitally celebrate this occasion? For instance, arts & crafts themed 300,000 user milestone banners? Or, a digital picture that does the same thing?

Better yet, maybe we could have all the members post about which ones they like best, giving constructive criticism?
