My name's Nick. I'm almoooost 21 years old and I live in New Jersey! I work full time as a loader (though I'm switching shifts soon and will become a picker) in a car parts warehouse and go to school fulltime as well, studying graphic design to become a web designer, but I'm thinking about switching my major to either English or Business, because I'm also interested in becoming an English teacher and I'm interested in a career in the business field as well. I've also been very interested in humanitarian work as of recent and have been looking for ways to get more involved with that.

Most of my time is either spent at home or at work or school. I hang out with a friend or two about once or twice a week, and the rest I spend doing what I have to: working, school, sleeping, eating, web designing, and PC!! All the while, listening to music whenever I'm awake. I think I have a pretty boring life and I'm not really satisfied with it.

I'd really like tons of questions about either my offline life or my PokéCommunity life and I'm open to answering (almost) any!

Have you yet found a true love interest?

Are you not satisfied enough with the web design prospect or would you genuinely prefer to major in business/English? I'm just curious because web design seems like something you're utterly infatuated with so switching is a surprise to me.

If you were to end up changing your major to English and becoming a teacher, what kind of school would you like to be teaching in and why? (ie. a well off school, a lesser funded school, etc)

    When are you coming here?!

What do you want for your birthday?

No. I'm not really looking or interested in being in a relationship right now. I've been in some before, but right now I just want to focus on me without any distractions like that, and as mean it is to say, I do think that a relationship is a distraction. I'll focus on that when I feel I can.

I don't know what I want to major in, but those are the fields that I'm interested in the most. I don't think I like the idea of being a web designer for the rest of my life. I want to do something that means something to other people, which is why I'm interested in becoming a teacher, but I don't know how I would handle it. I think I'm good at web design, and I do really enjoy it (especially coding my designs), but making a career out of it that will last the rest of my life? I feel like I'll lose my interest for it if I make it my job.

I would either want to be teaching in a public high school or a private middle school (though I'm not sure they have those, I think most private schools are K-7/8/9, and not just 6/7/8) with specific teachers for specific subjects.

    Tomorrow.

I don't want anything for my birthday. I haven't wanted anything for my birthday since I was about fourteen years old. I think the last thing I got for my birthday was a cool new keyboard for my computer and some other things that I can't remember. I don't really celebrate my birthday.

    How to word this question...

How do you balance your school life with your work life? I figure that going to school full-time and working full-time would drive one crazy, so really, how do you do it? Do your own time management skills surprise you as a result of juggling so many important obligations?
Up until this point, I've had one three hour class for each class I take a semester. Before work, I would have an 11am-1pm class on a single subject, go home, eat lunch, and then go to work until 11:30. Because the class period was so long, I had most of my work done there, so I didn't have much of a need to do work at home. Then the next day, I'd do the next class with the same schedule. I also did two online classes, which I did whenever I felt like it (within reason) before the due date of the material (which was usually midnight ever Sunday). I didn't really get much out of it, though. I forgot almost all the material and couldn't draw back on experiences to answer some final questions which hurt my grade.

When I get switched to day shift, I'll be done work at 6:30 so I figure I'll take two classes every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for an hour and a half. I still haven't worked anything out, though.

It got very stressful for me, but I think that was just because my job is so physically demanding. I have to move things and lift things for eight hours, so I spend a lot of time at home sleeping.

Can I make you a birthday thread anyway?

Speaking of birthdays, any plans for yours? Gonna have a drink? Or is that considered celebrating, which you don't do...? :P

Is there a song that you feel best describes you as a person?

    If you want. :)

My plan is to wake up around 9:00 and go get breakfast by myself and then eat it on the way back home and then take a shower and then sit around the house until its time to go to work and then go to work. Come home from work and do what I usually do on Thursdays and watch The Vampire Diaries and go to sleep.

I'm not really interested in celebrating my birthday since I don't think it's really anything to celebrate, and I'm not interested in drinking or doing anything special, but I really appreciate people acknowledging it.

How do you deal with stuff that you don't want to hear? Hide from it / tackle it head-on / etc.?

How well do you save your money? Do you have a issue with spending money on things you won't use?

If you could choose any Pokemon to describe yourself, which one would you choose and why?

What do you think of me? Just curious, but be honest and gentle if needed. :3

I don't think I've ever had a problem with dealing with things I don't want to hear. You'd have to give an example of something that falls into that category.

I don't have an issue on spending my money on things I don't use. I have an issue on spending it on music, though. I like to buy and own my music. I have no idea why, but I like opening the file in iTunes and seeing Purchased by: Nick _ in the info.

I do think I'm good at saving my money, until I fall into the trap of buying music. There's certainly room for improvement, and at the moment I'm currently working on a budget for myself. We'll see how that goes. If I can just not buy music, then that would solve a lot of problems. Because I don't buy single songs, I buy whole albums.

Abra, because I sleep a lot.

    I like you. :)

What's the first thing you do in the morning besides waking up?
    I wash my hands.

Additionally, what's your typical morning routine as a whole?
I don't really have a routine, but I wash my hands and have a habit of walking to the kitchen and walking back into my room. Have no idea why, because I'm not looking for food. I just walk to the kitchen, turn back, and go back into my room.

    Top 5 favorite Pokemon?

    Favorite color?

    Favorite food?

I have a reason for asking these.

Also, why not just make a "post and I'll tell you what I think of you" blog at this rate? Before this thread turns into one, anyway. lol

Luxray, Steelix, Houndoom, Kingdra, and Alakazam.

    Green.

I don't have a favorite food, but my favorite meal is pasta with a side salad and a slice of pizza.

Your current job, I meant. :)
I was just thinking about this in the car when I was on my way home.

I don't like or dislike my job. There are parts of it that I really enjoy, and there are parts of it that I don't particuarly care for. I don't plan on staying there after school. I had the option to immediately switch to an actual career, I would do it. But it's a job with full time benefits (though that probably has something to do with me working full time), and that's hard to come by these days and I think it pays fairly well when compared to every other job I've had before. I don't really like the hours. I work 3pm until 11:30pm, and while it has its benefits of me not being home when my family members are at their prime of arguments, I would much rather work a different shift.

My primary job function is loading trucks, but I'm one of the few people who is trained to do almost all of the operations in the warehouse, so that puts me in the unique position of doing other tasks. My favorite is picking, which is pretty much just like grocery shopping, but it's for someone else and you don't really know where it is. The boss (not my direct manager) calls me an animal at it, which is a huge compliment. I asked him a while ago to switch to that shift (the picking shift, which works 10:30am until 6:30pm) and he told me a few weeks ago he'd switch me. Once I get switched, I'll enjoy work a lot more, especially since the people on that shift I get along with a lot better than the people on my own (bar a few).

If there's any skill you wish you could pick up, what would it be and why?
I think gaining the skill to actually sing (there are a few songs that I can sing that I feel I sound well in, but being able to sing any song would be wonderful) and dance (I love the way I dance, but other people will likely stare) properly would be wonderful.
