Welcome to the PokéCommunity Puzzle League! This club is all about the following awesome spin-off games...

Pokémon Picross, Pokémon Shuffle, Pokémon Link: Battle!/Battle Trozei, Pokémon Link/Trozei, Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, Pokémon Puzzle League, Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire, Pokémon Pinball and Learn with Pokémon: Typing Adventure!​

We will discuss all of the above and speculate on what we could see next! Post news, share tips and compete in challenges!

This is a work in progress, we'll see what works and what doesn't! Any ideas for the development of the club are welcome! I hope you have fun with this!

I think a game containing a bunch of mini-games, like card and fair games, would be fun. I had a lot of fun playing the mini games on Pokemon Stadium, and I think they should bring stuff like this back, or expand on them. Instead of a simple Rattata mini-race, make a Mario Pokemon Kart game.

For a more puzzle aspect, I'd like to see word or riddle puzzles used in a game. I think it would also be neat to have an adventure game, like Mystery Dungeon, but solely based on solving puzzles throughout ones quest.

New Challenge!

To celebrate Wobbuffet's second week as a Try 'em Items Stage in Pokemon Shuffle we will see who can get the highest score on that stage, making use of the free Mega Start and Disruption Delay that are available this week. Check the first post for the Leaderboard and Happy Shuffling!



If you haven't checked out Shuffle in a while, Wobbuffet's Try 'em Items Stage is running from 20th July to 15th August (excluding weekends) and each Monday they'll be adding to the list of items that you can try out for free!

The latest Escalation Battle Stage, this time featuring Cresselia, ends on August 3rd.
As before the rewards for levelling up are as follows:
Level 5: 1 x Moves +5
Level 10: 1x Disruption Delay
Level 30: 1x Mega Start
Level 50: 1x Mega Speedup
Level 100: 1x Mega Speedup
Some levels are also Coin Stages like the Meowth Stage.

Kyogre has returned as a Special Stage and is available until July 31st, then the following week Groudon will return!

The current batch of Daily Pokemon will disappear after July 31st, so catch Girafarig, Kecleon, Relicanth, Shuckle and Spiritomb while you can!

Well, I tried out Puzzle Challenge again and it's really fun. I spent more time doing the challenge mode than actually trying to get a high score though :v I'm gonna see if I can't emulate Puzzle League as well.

So are there any types of challenges that you guys would like to see?

I was thinking maybe we could feature a game for a while and have multiple challenges for different game modes and talk about what we like about it etc.

I was trying to think of a way to award points and stuff, but I'm not really sure what I could give as prizes. Would an extra Partner or Mega or Legendary be enough? I'll have to check with staff to see if I can do anything else.

But for now, a New Topic approaches!

The Puzzle League music is brilliant! I sing along too! Well, I sing the few bits I know and fill in the rest with vaguely in-tune noises! The music is a great bonus in that game, especially in Marathon Mode when the games can go on forever!
I keep getting the Shuffle music going through my head and find myself humming it sometimes, it's so catchy! Ohh, you're right about the similarity to Nintendogs, I hadn't realised that before!

I played 3D Mode on Puzzle League for the first time today! I found it really hard but it's a lot of fun and adds an interesting twist!

Hall of Fame and Cups?!

So I've been thinking of adding a Hall of Fame. Members would earn points in various ways to place in it. For example...

Join club: 10 Points
Per post: 1 Point
Participate in an ongoing Challenge: 15 Points
Participate in a one-off Challenge: 5 Points
Place 1st in one-off Challenge: 6 Points
Place 2nd in one-off Challenge: 4 Points
Place 3rd in one-off Challenge: 2 Points
Participate in a Cup: 10 Points
Place 1st in Cup: 10 Points
Place 2nd in Cup: 7 Points
Place 3rd in Cup: 5 Points
Place 4th in Cup: 3 Points
Place 5th in Cup: 2 Points
Place 6th in Cup: 1 Point
Bonus points awarded for specific tasks that would be announced.

For reaching certain amount of points you could get an extra partner Pokemon including Megas and Legendaries.

I've also been thinking of doing occasional Cups in addition to the one-off and ongoing Challenges. A Cup would run for a set amount of time and feature challenges from several game modes for a particular game and whoever scores the most points overall wins the Cup and a Title under their name in the Members List e.g. Shuffle Master, Trozei Master, League Master, Challenge Master, Pinball Master and Typing Master.

What do you think of these ideas? Any tweaks? Would it add something to the club or would it put you off? Do you think it would entice more members?

What do you think of the art/graphics in the puzzle spin-offs? Is there anything in particular that stands out to you?

In general I think the puzzle games have a distinctive look and feel to them that do the games justice.

I absolutely adore the Trozei head icons! They're so cute! I like it when a game introduces a new way of displaying Pokemon, like Rumble with the Toy Pokemon. I also like the look of the Typing Ball!



Puzzle League and Puzzle Challenge stand out to me due to the use of the anime. Probably helps the games (League more so) hold up to today's standards too.

The Pinball graphics definitely look dated though, I'd love to see a Pinball table made with the technology we have now, it'd be glorious!

We have the League Cup to compete in, who will be crowned PokeCommunity's League Master?!

Plus there will be a side event evolving custom puzzles and hopefully plenty of chat about the game!

I've been trying to make custom puzzles in Puzzle League but geez am I bad at it! I think it's harder making them than solving them (which I'm not especially masterful at either)!

But I found some cool ones on YouTube to try...
