Sorry for the delay, everyone. I was busy with packing and moving in between the last time I posted the thread for this and tonight.


This is the discussion thread for Episode 5 of Hataraku Maou-Sama! for our first ever watch-along. All you need to do to participate is to go watch the first five episodes of this show and then come back and talk about your thoughts about the fifth episode! The discussion thread for the sixth episode will be up next week Tuesday! Discussion can go as deep or as casual as you'd like!

Also, if you've already seen the show, you don't have to watch again to discuss in here with us. Just avoid spoilers for anything past episode 5!

Oop I got too distracted to reply to last episode's thread but..

Lucifer time!! He is my favorite from this series, along with a girl that shows up later. Damn did him and Olba wreck things though. Loved the fight scenes here, especially when Maou was about to beat the lights out of Lucifer. x'D I mean did you guys see this???!aaaa

Those are some impressive wings.

Also this man is super bald.

lol Maou just made this break the fourth wall.

And there's the standard magic circle.

... and here we are bringing human weapons into the fray.

... ouch, that hole's gotta hurt. That's a giant hole.

... why did that crack have to be audible. Ouch.

... yeah this Lucifer guy is really scrawny.

... and that eyecatch had terrible timing.

... is that platinum blonde/silver hair?

... Maou is pretty wimpy even in his true form. Well wimpy in the sense that he takes tiny pain.

... I don't remember Alciel flinging cars at the man holy hell.

... holy shit, Chi, you're red as a tomato.

... holy shit that's either crazy speed or teleportation.

... that blood-curdling scream Chi did the second Maou opened the door, haha.

... and there we have Maou's typical denseness as a protagonist.

I actually kept postponing watching this thread's episode because I'm still working on moving in (mostly unpacking and cleaning the place) and it's not been a priority to watch this episode.

Also, Lucifer in the anime looks a lot scrawnier than I had envisioned him based on his description in the novel.
